Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
bumperlicious · 12/06/2007 11:03

Cool, hope you are using them wisely! Putting your feet up and doing nowt!

foxybrown · 12/06/2007 11:13

Am typing up their instructions for my sister who is taking care of them when I go into labour. School details, where they have to be and when, that kind of thing. Then I'm going to start on my birth plan. Which is mainly for DP's use - so he knows what to do, where everything is, and what I want!

He's taking the kids away this weekend, giving me two days of freedom. He is under strict instructions to drop everything, and load them into the car to bring them home if anything kicks off. But I'm really worried he'll leave them behind with his family and come on his own, which is really what I don't want to happen. I know MIL and FIL will tell him to leave the kids with them (4 hours away), and I don't want that.

bumperlicious · 12/06/2007 11:17

Well, it's nice that you'll have a break this weekend - I'm sure it won't come to that anyway (wishful thinking on your part - don't you know there's a queue here!), can you make him absolutely promise not to leave the children there?

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 12/06/2007 11:19

BIG CONGRATS TO BZ

Can't beleive you had a baby this freekin morning!!

foxybrown · 12/06/2007 11:19

I don't know. Its with his entire family, and I know they'll all be saying "ooh, leave them with us, you can't take them in the middle of the night, blah blah blah". He listens to them over me . Anyway, perhaps I'll just have the baby and have a day or two on my own with her. That would be nice too.

Am just bloody relieved I'm not having to go. Thinking I might go to the cinema on friday afternoon. What a treat!!

bumperlicious · 12/06/2007 11:24

Fab, I hope you enjoy your weekend. Whatcha gonna see at the cinema? Bet you are going to appreciate getting a couple of good night's sleep! Do you have any other plans?

Try not to worry about the DCs, it probably won't even be an issue, and if you do go into labour you will have licence to scream down the phone to DP to bring them home!

Jeez, I'm sooo hungry. I have had two bowls of cereal today and I'm still starving. Admitedly I have been up since 5.30, so I guess 2 bowls of cereal in 6 hours isn't actually a lot.

daisyboo · 12/06/2007 11:32

Let's hope your waters don't break in the cinema foxy....

wow BZ...we didn't see that one coming (how early were you?), big congratulations and welcome to Matilda (lovely name). Can't wait to see some pics.

Hi 3flightsofstairs....missed your post earlier, not ignoring you!

Any news on Flightattendant?

My little lady is being a madam this morning. My boobs have settled down nicely and aren't getting engorged at all now, but she doesn't realise that she has to do a bit of work now to get any milk. so, she either spits my nipple out in digust and gets really narky and starts pulling at them (ouch) or else she just lies there with nip in gob doing nothing! She catches on eventually though and guzzles so quickly that she gets hiccups!

If anyone is interested, I bought THIS BOOK ages ago and it has been really useful over the last few days. It's no-nonsense and informative without being preachy. I highly recommend it!

bumperlicious · 12/06/2007 11:41

This is a link to derlor's fab reflexology tips for inducing labour in case anyone else is interested. Thanks derlor!

daisyboo · 12/06/2007 11:49

I wonder how seansgirl is getting on? She was being induced today wasn't she? with BZ and hopefully flightattendant, that makes 3 babies today!!

daisyboo · 12/06/2007 11:49

any news as well of Trace?

trendaverter · 12/06/2007 11:54

AIBU if I change my MSN name to 'No I haven't given birth yet PLEASE stop asking'??

fatsuitgirl · 12/06/2007 12:22

Hi guys!

Sorry I haven't been around - pelvic pain has been crippling so haven't been anywhere near my computer (and when I have logged on have been lurking only - consider myself far too moany to post... ). But huge congrats to all who have popped - BZ, am very impressed with your efficiency!!) THought things were kicking off the night before last - was up all night with contractions - but then they stopped again and nothing since. According to midwife I'm 0.5 cm dilated . Very keen to have baby before due date as consultant won't let me go past it and has booked an induction. But can't walk which isn't ideal...!

Hope you're all hanging in there and I'll keep monitoring the good news

TALLULAHBELLE · 12/06/2007 12:25

Wow Badzelda - that was impressive. Congratulations.

riabutterflew · 12/06/2007 12:36

Congratulations BZ, lovely name too, a big welcome to your LO. How early were you?

Well, I have just got back from the hospital! Two hours while DH had his dislocated shoulder put back and xrayed. Why can't my life be simple and straightforward? Hopefully if he rests it today he'll get it moving tomorrow and then he WILL be able to hold the baby when it eventually decides to come. (I did take all my stuff in the car just in case I had to pop up to the labour ward while he was in A&E!)

I am off to wash up from lunch (obviously he is no use now as only has one hand)and then am going to bed. See ya later. I wonder how many more babies there will be...

trendaverter · 12/06/2007 12:42

Still waiting tallulah?
Yeah....me too......sigh

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 12/06/2007 12:47

No Text from Trace yet - I'll keep you posted.

foxybrown · 12/06/2007 12:56

O bugger Ria! At least it might keep him off work for a while

TALLULAHBELLE · 12/06/2007 13:05

Yep still here T/A - but now have lovely nails after my manicure this morning! Not quite the same as a baby but hey....

Think could put up with the waiting if had some sort of twinges, Bh's or something just to indicate that things are moving on. But nothing.

trendaverter · 12/06/2007 13:05

lots of pain today but I don't know what sort of pain it is

TALLULAHBELLE · 12/06/2007 13:06

Could well be a sign. Hope so.

trendaverter · 12/06/2007 13:06

ooh I would take a manicure! Not the same as a baby but still, it's a feel good factor!

justbeme · 12/06/2007 13:08

CONGRATULATIONS BadZelda!! Due date was 15th so only a little early!!

Trendaverter, you ok?? where are the pains ? and is there any timing ?

Took my dog out for a walk this morning and the little bugger rolled in a dead rabbit and a dead bird!! Eww, had to give him a bath (not easy with bump in way!).

Ohh and my cot mattress came - I got it off ebay in the end - sprung one for £48 inc postage.

trendaverter · 12/06/2007 13:09

hahaha a sign

I think it is a sign that this baby is 14lb or something and is far too big for my body but my cervix isn't giving up without a fight!!

But seriously - no idea what is going on today. I am getting so many odd pains today, some of them are really hurting, but nothing regular at all, but it is making things like walking so difficult and painful. I might try and hoover - it will either help things along or I will pass out from the pain

trendaverter · 12/06/2007 13:13

Hey JBM

I took my pooch out this morning too, he doesn't roll in anything put he has taken to pulling me along like a steam train, hmmm, and he's only diddy.

My pains are really low down, I think probably cervix, they seem to happen irrespective of what I am doing but more so if I stand/walk around.

I have had them on and off for ages but they are thick and fast today.

No regular timings, no backache, nothing, just feels like it's dropping out sometimes!! It's sometimes very painful, sometimes just distracting/uncomfortable. If it doesn't ease up I feel like calling MW or something, doesn't feel quite right

TALLULAHBELLE · 12/06/2007 13:13

Is baby engaged T/A? Maybe head dropped down further making walking diff?
