oh good i found

pursed mouth - check
easilly pleanty space for 3 fingers - check
does each finger = 2cms???????

hollyandalice · 02/06/2007 20:29

OMG derlor! That sounds really good!

DesperateDerlor · 02/06/2007 20:29

on that note - MAJOR twinge again........ COME ON!!!!!!!!!

lulumama · 02/06/2007 20:30

nope , 1 cm per finger tip !but don;t try and put your whole hand up there, ok!!

if you have had a baby before, your cervix can often stay 1 cm dilated for ever, but 3 fingertips sounds positive !

well done !

is it all soft and stretchy?

hollyandalice · 02/06/2007 20:31

I'm nearly wetting myself with excitedness for you derlor! Or is that my shoddy pelvic floor??

foxybrown · 02/06/2007 20:31

Yes. With DS2 it was through the morning. I had a MW appointment at lunchtime that day (40 weeks exactly) and I told her, she asked if I wanted her to check me, and when she did I had started dialating.

With DD it was more over time I had the niggles (a week or so). When they did the sweep on 41 weeks I was already dialating, but oh so slowly. She came 3 days later.

lulumama · 02/06/2007 20:31

good ! all the rummaging can get things going

DesperateDerlor · 02/06/2007 20:31

very soft and stretchy - this is baby no.3 for me.

hollyandalice · 02/06/2007 20:32

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 02/06/2007 20:34

So, if I've been having twinges for over a week??????.....

Probably nothing happening.

Lulu...I've had a rummage around, but can't reach my cervix...does that mean its still posterior, or just that I have little hands and short fingers

foxybrown · 02/06/2007 20:38

Are you going to hospital when it kicks off? How long will you stay in for?

You could be home in time to make breakfast. Pick up the papers on the way, and cook a roast for the family!

DesperateDerlor · 02/06/2007 20:39

oooohhhh dry breast pumping - sounds painful think i'll wait and try that tomorrow if tonights antics don't work
DD arrived 5ish hours after sex last time, with no other warning pains or anything, so i'll give that a go 1st
