lilKelBel · 02/06/2007 14:31

uh oh...just discovered after years of thinking otherwise that IKEA actually does deliver in my area.... that flushing sound must be my bank account emptying!!

thanks Daisy! might be just the thing...

foxybrown · 02/06/2007 14:32

Oh I don't know Holly, might see a lot less of your DSSs in the future if it happens today! You are 37 weeks now, aren't you?

I am very much in denial and using the power of negative thinking to get me through. If I believe she's going to be late then maybe, just maybe, I'll have a lovely surprise!

lilKelBel · 02/06/2007 14:33

hi holly! don't forget to text if something should suddenly happen......

hollyandalice · 02/06/2007 14:33

Hope you are well lilkel! How's the scar healing? Hope little sienna is doing well and is nice and chubby!! xx

hollyandalice · 02/06/2007 14:36

I'm the same foxy. I was convinced my dd was going to be early, as I was born at 36 weeks, and she was 12 days late. This time I'm not holding out much hope for anything happening soon, so maybe it will! I am 37+4 today, so anytime now is ok (just not this weekend)!

lilKelBel · 02/06/2007 14:39

to my great relief, the little diva has decided to eat a bit more. thank goodness, just looking at her teeny skinny legs made me want to cry! I've dressed her in the most ridiculously cute outfit today - little pale green wrap top, footed trousers, and matching velvet bib trimmed with a bow and ruffle. Oh dear, I just can't help myself !!

best try some of Foxy's new negative mental attitude to hold things off till Monday Holly...ROFL at that btw Foxy...

oh i know I should sleep now that DD and DS are napping but i'm postnatally nesting! someone make me stop cleaning things!!

foxybrown · 02/06/2007 14:41

Could you come round here and do some nesting for me Lilkel? Have taken car seats out of car and must wash covers whilst the suns out so they can dry. but I can't move, can barely type... am so tired....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

hollyandalice · 02/06/2007 14:46

Be back later the battery's about to go on the laptop and I can't be arsed to charge it!

Glad sienna is well lilkel!! xxx

trendaverter · 02/06/2007 15:01

I was convinced I was in the initial throes of labour earlier. In Sainsburys, getting pains that I have not had before, backache - nothing regular but definately something!

I get home, have a bite to eat, still happening, brilliant.

To ensure movement continues, I thought I'd take the dog out for a walk...and while I am out, all action stops. Finito. No more twinges, I feel totally massive and normal again.

Spicy thai curry for dinner it is then.

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 02/06/2007 15:07

The joys of false labour TA....rule is, if its false labour exercise will make the pains stop......if its the real mccoy they'll keep going and getting stronger.

But you don't want to tire yourself out!

My DS is like a bloody limpet today, and I'm just not in the mood, as I can't bear anyone near me..including DH. At least he understands what's happening, how to explain it to a 5 year old!

Off to the garden centre....tempting fate and hoping something spectacular happens on the waters breaking front...surely all these contractions/pains must be doing something

I've got a pre-assessment appoinment at the hospital on Monday. I'm going to ask them to examine me and if its looking at all favourable I'm going to cancel the c-section.

So..cervix softening vibes please ladies....

bugger bugger bugger to false labour!

Although having said that you have been putting up with far worse for a few days now!

I have heard on the rumour mill that you should hang around Mothercare, if your waters break in there they give you £250 in vouchers.

foxybrown · 02/06/2007 16:30

It will happen TA, I guarentee it! And then we'll all be wishing we were still pregnant!

Enjoy your last few days before motherhood takes over

DesperateDerlor · 02/06/2007 17:33

i'm off out for my dinner now after a day af TWINGES
Foxy - keep your phone on................

foxybrown · 02/06/2007 17:43

ooh, derlor! you'd better come good - I don't think I could cope with any more false labours!

Phone is on, I am waiting.

Are you going into hospital to have your baby?

OK, you predicted friday, a day late is acceptable!!

am so excited!!!

annobal · 02/06/2007 17:55

Ooh, that's so exciting Derlor - good luck!

I've already got a pair of boots like that, so you needn't worry about bidding competition from me, except mine are purple - thought that was classier

trendaverter · 02/06/2007 18:00

more to the point Derlor...why were you searching for red thigh high boots in the first place?

OMG!! It's all happening!

Don't have any sex dg!! Maybe some nipple stim would work a treat ! Hope it's all happening for you!

And derlor!! Have loads of sex!

How exciting for everyone!

I've been having some serious twinges today, plus am feeling odd and have had a funny bum! (Sorry TMI)!! I really hope this isn't it! I'm not ready!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 02/06/2007 19:05

Not sure....I'd never heard of hindwaters leaking till I came on here.
Maybe put something in the childbirth topic...you'll catch the eye of Lulu, Mars, Klaw or mears.....
But yeah, no point phoning until things start happening, but if it is your forewaters, I think they only leave you for 3days maximum before they induce you if your forewaters have gone....so you might want to get it confirmed that it is your forewaters...
