lilKelBel · 02/06/2007 11:06

any word from Daisy? she seemed about fit to pop with those BH yesterday!

sending more labour vibes your way......

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 02/06/2007 11:23

Taaa Daaaa....still here! bloody full moon...crap and wank that's what thats all about.

Felt sure something was happening yesterday and last night, but no.....

Went to bed at 10 and was getting what felt like biggish painful tighteneings about every 30 mins....had a fucking whopper at 11:30 and again at 12. Then I woke up every hour on the hour, pain and tight belly....awake for 15 mins or so, then another 45 mins sleep [yawn]. This went on till 5:00, then slept till 6:30 and have been having the odd painful tightening since then; maybe two sometimes three an hour.

The muscle pain on the RH side is pretty constant and hurts if I bend over and my back is killing me such that I can't actually stand up. Can't stand much more of this!

Hi Trace...glad you're OK...but that the sweep didn't work. The show sounds positive...fingers crossed for you!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 02/06/2007 11:35

Oh well...no-one to talk to, off to dig out a few tree stumps in the hope that that gets things moving!!

TALLULAHBELLE · 02/06/2007 11:39

Hey so no babies yet. Was sure full moon would work for someone. Was cloudy here last night so couldn't even see it. Was all set for bit of naked dancing too.Bloody Scottish weather!

Daisy sounds like things are moving in right direction for you though .

Had M/W appt yesterday - head engaged (why do I still have f***g heartburn then?) and she said my skin stretchy which good sign for quick labour - don't know why. Baby lying on right tho' - Daisy, was it you who said were LOA, d'ya know how you managed that? Can I shift this one over?

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 02/06/2007 11:56

hi Tallulah....I've tried to lie on my LHS as much as possible, and apparently all fours helps too, or leaning over your birth ball. Try reclining on your LH side when watching telly. Other than that...no ideas!

Hello!!!! I am back although only temporarily
Went to see midwife thurs am for routine AN appt. Blood pressure through roof and protein in wee so spent whole day at birth unit only to be transferred to main hospital thurs evening. Have been there ever since! Apparently I have preeclampsia!! They have let me out for a couple of hours as long as I promised to come home and rest! (so of course, my first priority is catching up and updating you all! )

So, assuming things do not get worse in the next week, I am going to be induced next Sunday at the very latest. I really am in shock and also must apologise for queue jumping- very rude I know

If anything happens in the meantime I will text Ria!!

Take care lovely ladies....

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 02/06/2007 12:03

rest up and take it east fatcatkin....I'm surprised they're leaving you that long. and don't worry about the queue jumping...we want healthy mums and babies after all. good luck

OP posts:
TALLULAHBELLE · 02/06/2007 12:21

Hope you're feeling OK Fatcat. Have you to go back to hosp or to rest at home?

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 02/06/2007 12:25

Tallulah....stretchy skin = big rubber band effect?

when my LOs head engaged, heartburn disappeared for a day or so, then she realised she could grow some more and stretch her legs up so kicking my stomach....and it came back with a vengeance

OP posts:
DaisysGotSausageFeet · 02/06/2007 12:25

LOL that conjures up images of you pinging your LO at speed across the delivery suite.....

OP posts:
foxybrown · 02/06/2007 12:37

hope you are OK catkin! And you too Trace2.

Expectations are running high, aren't they?

Thanks for the offer of the CD Bumper, but don't you need it for labour? Don't you listen to it during the lead up and then during labour too?

Have done swimming today, wasn't too bad apart from nearly lamping the bloke who was insisting we had to go through the congested turnstile. Me, heavily pregnant carrying a massive bag and 3 lo's under 5. just let me through the gate you fucker.

So yes, mister, I am moving your barrier and ignoring you, you jumped up little jobsworth.

And no, it doesn't take much to set me off and overreact

TALLULAHBELLE · 02/06/2007 13:06

Ha ha Daisy- long as someone's there to catch it

lilKelBel · 02/06/2007 13:15

ooh Daisy your RH pain sounds like what i had - spd apparently. only thing which helped was major sofa time and no lifting...

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 02/06/2007 13:18

I thought SPD would be low down...this is up the side of my bump to the top and feels more muscular.....it's particulary sore of the LO stretches in that direction (ie kicks me). I've not got any other symptoms of SPD, like I'm sitting on the ball woith my legs really wide and have no pelvic pain at all!

OP posts:
lilKelBel · 02/06/2007 13:29

exact same here, but the dr at hosp insisted it was spd. odd, eh?

foxybrown · 02/06/2007 13:31

hmm, i'm getting lots of stitch pains in my right hand side but am still thinking she's trapping a nerve. Could it be that Daisy?

Only another 2 days Daisy, you lucky bugger!

bumperlicious · 02/06/2007 13:33

Sorry you are in pain daisy, hope its all a good sign.

Catkin - pretty scary for you. Hope you are resting up. Do you have to go back to hospital for the rest of the week? Good luck with everything, hope you don't feel too bad.

Foxy, I could send you a back-up copy if you want. Don't worry if you don't, just wouldn't want you forking out all that money on it, when I have it. Not sure if you are supposed to listen to it during labour, but it teaches you relaxation techniques to use during labour, like a kind of trigger.

Anyway, I'm out in the garden today but just popped in to say my tiffin is BLOODY FANTASTIC! Very much recommended!

Have a good day all of you!

foxybrown · 02/06/2007 13:36

Oh, yes please Bumper! A back-up copy would be very useful!

I'll email you now

lilKelBel · 02/06/2007 13:52

just strikes me that tiffin makes a good dog's name... not that I could cope with another creature to look after at the mo!!

on another topic entirely - shopping

  • am also liking the kaftan look. saw some in JLewis which caught my eye. does this mean I am becoming old age pensioner before my time??

-anyone know of a good storage solution for all the recycling clobber in my kitchen? I've a push-tip bin from Brabantia which I love and a council-given crate for paper, glass, and cans, plus another folding crate for cardboard. It's a right mess and DS thinks it's the best box of toys, ever. If I have to pick up another empty orange juice carton off the floor I swear I'll go bonkers...

lilKelBel · 02/06/2007 13:53

sorry make that 'push top' bin, not 'push tip'. errrrrr.

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 02/06/2007 14:10

Lilkel...we've got some of These from IKEA Thay can stack on each other and have flip top lids so the mess is contained but they accessible even when stacked. WE've got one for stuff that can go in our recycling bin outside and the other for bottles which we need to take to a bottle bank. There's a couple of diffenernt sizes too
