LOL! I seem to remember Bumperlicious raised this at her AN class - can't remember the outcome though!

hollyandalice · 06/06/2007 20:03

Tis true TA! My dp was sitting next to me when I read that a while ago, he was very interested! I told him to fuck off and die!

foxybrown · 06/06/2007 20:07

Apparently they should eat tons of pineapple too, for max effect. My DP still whinged "I don't like pineapple". FGS!!!

westcoaster · 06/06/2007 20:09

Gawd TA - I get heartburn from virtually everything now - that would definitely be a step too far - but let's face it, will still taste better than Gaviscon!

hollyandalice · 06/06/2007 20:11

My dp doesn't like fruit! I have no chance of improving his prostaglandins!!

foxybrown · 06/06/2007 20:18

No point going there then. Shame (for your DP!)

westcoaster · 06/06/2007 20:29

Have just updated DH on our conversation tonight. His PC response was - "Great - with your fanjo looking the way it is, god knows I'm not going there in a hurry....!" Ooh, doncha just love 'em.

foxybrown · 06/06/2007 20:32

LOL at your DP! What a charmer!

hollyandalice · 06/06/2007 20:36

Norty dh WC!!

westcoaster · 06/06/2007 20:39

I know - lucky for him, I remembered my SOH today (has been away several times recently). I'll be having the last laugh on this one though - knowing what I was like after DD, he's in for another 'dry spell'...

As one of my mates said - definition of first time pg is checking the date of your last period to sort out your dates. Definition of subsequent pg's is knowing EXACTLY the date you got pg on & being able to remember whose birthday it was....

foxybrown · 06/06/2007 20:44

That is SO true

sputnik · 06/06/2007 20:46

Will catch up in a sec, but I have had a show ! Nothing else yet though

hollyandalice · 06/06/2007 20:46

OOO sputnik, how exciting !!

sputnik · 06/06/2007 20:52

Poor Derlor, that must've been really frustrating for her. Will be sending some of my spare cervical dilation vibes to her, as I seem to have plenty to spare.

westcoaster · 06/06/2007 20:52

Go Sputnik! Seems ages since we've had any 'action' - will live vicariously through you now... Don't stop posting with updates!

BTW - forgot from catching up earlier - Derlor if you're lurking, hope you're OK & not too knackered from your 'falsie'. Can't be long now if your bod's having practice sessions like that. You can always resort to 'oral prostaglandins' if you're desperate!

foxybrown · 06/06/2007 20:53

Congratulations to you and your cervix once again Sputnik!
How exciting!

sputnik · 06/06/2007 20:55

well I'm not getting my hopes too high yet as I had a couple with DD quite a few days before actually going into labour.

foxybrown · 06/06/2007 21:00

I think I am far too excitable by ANY vague sign that labour could be brewing in any one of you now!

I am still counting 5 weeks, secretly hoping for this Friday (37 weeks), needing it to be another 4 weeks for convenience, and dreading it could go to 5 weeks!

DesperateDerlor · 06/06/2007 21:00

well not so actually, but had i come on here much earlier then i would have, hence my late appearance.
well here are my woes.... 3pm started having contractions every 1/2 hour or so, they got stronger and by 10pm they were every 7 mins - called hosp and they told me to come in as DD was a VERY quick labour.
Midnight - Things going well except LO's heart rate too fast at 160 for over an hour (contractions every 5 mins now)
1am - took me off monitor and told me to walk about for 2 hours - if heart rate remained high they would break my waters - 3am - contractions now every 3 mins and i feeling the need for gas and air creeping up on me...then NOTHING - heart rate now dropped to 110 and no more contractions - they ?? why heart rate now too low
4am - Dr called and he not too bothered - told to get some sleep and maybe contractions will re-start BUT NO!!
slept for couple of hours then re-monitored for an hour as heart rate still lowish but Dr called again and he said i could go home.
anyway was VERY disappointed but also VERY thankful that everything OK - so have to see community MW tomorrow and get date for induction from consultant as well
hey ho - put me down for a troublesome 3rd labour!!
No more twinges today so have decided it's not worth getting upset about and am trying to stay positive.
Right off to catch up on everyone elses past 24 hours....i may be a while x

westcoaster · 06/06/2007 21:03

Oh Derlor - that sounds shit. Sounded as though all systems were go for you. Guess if you have to be induced that it'll go pretty quickly though...? Can't they just induce you tomorrow?

foxybrown · 06/06/2007 21:07

Bollocks.
BollocksshitfuckAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE for you.

Hope you had some sleep this afternoon.

foxybrown · 06/06/2007 21:17

I'm off to bed.

Derlor - hope you get a restful night tonight. Text me if you've any news, I'll be waiting!

Night all xx

DesperateDerlor · 06/06/2007 21:23

FLIP - more that just me having a bad day huh!!
firstly though CONGRATULATIONS KITTYKITT - DELIGHTED FOR YOU AND YOUR TINY WEE BUNDLE XXX
Ria for you hope things improve soon ((((hugs))))
Sputnik - hope things all kick off for you soon - sounds promising x
Westcoaster - i like your suggestion re getting induced tomorrow but i think the chances of that are nadda - i'll only be 40+3 tomorrow so it will most likely be end of next week
thanks girls for the advice re DH eating pineapples - i've just told him and he said "of course i'll do anything to help you get this baby out" - awww ( even after him sleeping on a hospital floor for 2 hours as well!!)
Foxy thanks for the sweary support - much appreciated x

DesperateDerlor · 06/06/2007 21:25

Right now that i've caught up - i'm off to bed to try and catch up with lost sleep
night all xx

westcoaster · 06/06/2007 21:27

Me too. Nighty night.

No having babies when I'm sleeping, you lot...
