Juicylucytoo · 05/06/2007 14:25

Just sneaking over from the now almost completely empty May thread to say:
"Congrats Daisy. Well done."

Hope I will producing son and heir any day, but as he's now 8 days over, my home birth is looking less and less likely as induction looms at the weekend.

Hope none of you have to wait as long as me!

Anyone heard from Derlor? Is she giving birth?

foxybrown · 05/06/2007 16:33

No news from Derlor on my phone, but she did say earlier she's having a busy day today.

trendaverter · 05/06/2007 16:35

Ah ha - scrolled down, I see her, I am blind.

DesperateDerlor · 05/06/2007 16:51

Ok TA don't panic i'm NOT giving birth - you're just afraid i beat you huh!!!!!
i am however having the most bizarre sensations down below - every time i stand up i actually feel like this baby is going to drop out of me there is SO much pressure - is this a good sign???????
just read about kittykitt - hope she OK and that it wasn't placenta previa. hopefully she holding her LO now and recovering from her scare.

trendaverter · 05/06/2007 17:04

Hey Derlor, yes I cannot deny it, I will be almighty pissed off if you beat me to it, I have my eye on you!

I sometimes get that pain where it feels like it's coming out, it lasts for a while then seems to go back up again.

Now I don't want to excite anyone as it's probably nothing but I am really getting some pains now... they started about lunchtime but were quitre irregular, they are still irregular but getting more often... but I am not sure if they are the right pains? Can anyone help?

Not 'tightenings' as such, more strong period pain with a bit of backache.

justbeme · 05/06/2007 17:16

Could be it TA!!
I remember with my daughters labour - i started having little pains in the morning - they werent much just abit niggly, then I went in to be induced at possibly 1700 and they were getting abit more "regular" - but they didnt hurt really - when they looked I was 3cm!! So they didnt induce me!! I remember thinking "This labour lark is really easy if this is contractions....." Wrong!! A few hours later they were coming like tidal waves and when it became too much they moved me up to delivery ward and the rest is history!!

I shall be watching my mobile later for news - !!

trendaverter · 05/06/2007 17:22

Jeez I hope you are right!!

Yeah niggly pains all day really - sort of on and off all morning but they seem to be more regular now, maybe every 5-7 mins lasting between 20 and 40 seconds each.

But they are not that bad at all, in fact I am just off to make dinner, which is why I am wondering if it's the real thing or not! Maybe just early labour or BH?

I'm off to make burgers, I'll check back in later

(Besides which, I don't care if it's labour or not, it can wait til after Gordon Ramsay has finished)

justbeme · 05/06/2007 17:29

D'yknow - I still havent got the hang of when contractions are "proper" ie timing!!
Can any one remind me?

Bought some kiddies Innocent smoothies at Tescos today - £1.94 for 6 little bottles Mango and something else - thought i'd try them and a pineapple (but im not eating 7!!)

Come on RedFraggle and Kittykit - Im getting impatient now!!

trace2 · 05/06/2007 18:02

congrats daisy great name

foxybrown · 05/06/2007 18:15

JBM try this timer

TA, I think that if you sit still and they go they are BH, but if you move around and they ease off they are contractions. Is that right anyone?

justbeme · 05/06/2007 18:15

Oh I thought BH stopped when you move!!!
