Gosh, there's so much to catch up on here!
Got the general gist that there are still no babies, but plenty of action going on..

Spent a couple of days in hospital last week with excruciating pains low down one side of my bump - similar to what Daisy was describing.. Monitored baby and all appears to be well but no explanation for the pain, which i am still getting.
Sleep is impossible as i can barely move without waking myself up - hence tired and emotional all the time.
Maternity leave started today, thank god, but seems an anti climax now as i can't do all the things i had planned.
My lovely friends have cheered me up though, by getting me some vouchers for a spa in town..i'm planning a pedicure and facial on Weds if i can get myself into the car.
Right, moaning over!!!

DAISY - LOTS OF LUCK AND GOOD WISHES FOR TOMORROW
Am very excited for you and will be thinking of you all day.

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 04/06/2007 19:33

I'm definately off now...going to have a nice relaxing bath and do the necessary pubic preparation .

wishing you all speedy deliveries

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 04/06/2007 21:29

H&A are you still there? I think I remember you saying you had a Cath Kidston changing bag, I've been looking around at bags and these seem nice - but to be honest I don't really know what to look for in a changing bag?! Are the Cath Kidston ones good?
I like this one

DesperateDerlor · 04/06/2007 21:31

at the price DKMAFME
get yourself on ebay girl - some LOVELY ones on there for a fraction of that cost - just search under "baby change bags" x

DesperateDerlor · 04/06/2007 21:34

look the Hopstar ones are lovely and only £25

DesperateDerlor · 04/06/2007 21:35

meant to link you to this

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 04/06/2007 21:42

Yep they are nice too.
What should a changing bag have - to make it a good one?
Do you use it as a handbag as well? I've got to have somewhere to put my hairbrush / lip gloss etc etc etc!!!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 04/06/2007 21:43

By the way delor I think you're being a spoil-sport for not having your baby tonight!!!

Awe go on - try a bit harder

hollyandalice · 04/06/2007 21:44

I'm here!! Yes it is me that has a cath kidston bag. It is lovely, really roomy and loads of pockets. I got mine from ebay and it was about £30. I might have bought a new one, but I wanted the strawberry pattern and it has been discontinued, so had to get it from ebay.

Wouldn't it be funny if there is loads of babies tomorrow?! Hope it happens for you soon derlor. Shouldn't be long now you've had a show. Hope I don't go tomorrow. Dp is in maidstone all day - a 3 hour drive away!!

bumperlicious · 04/06/2007 21:46

Oh derlor - they are nice! I'm surprised I've managed to limit myself to one bag so far! I'm still on the lookout for a fab red one but waiting to see if primark do a big red bag.

I am sitting around in my new yellow shoes eating half a large pineapple! Hope everyone else is having a nice evening.

hollyandalice · 04/06/2007 21:53

DKMA I cannot be doing with carrying two bags and mine works well as a handbag as well. You need lots of pockets to put your phone, purse, lippy etc in otherwise they get lost at the bottom of the bag. It's v annoying standing at the till in a shop and having to take everything out of your bag to get your purse! Pockets are essential! You also need to be able to wash it as nappy cream, juice, milk are bound to leak in your bag at some point. Oh, and one of those plastic changing mats are good. HTH!!!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 04/06/2007 21:55

I'm gettin really worried about my ankles
They have puffed up so much over the last few days - I've never seen them like this before
I've also seen on the Cath Kidston website the matching make-up bag to the changing bag that I like! Do you think I am a tit if I get it? Is it just too much money for what it is?
I'll be the new mum with 'all the gear and no idea' won't I?
I don't want to look like a prick - but I am a sucker for a bag! And like you Bumper (all in yellow) if I see matching stuff then I have just gotta get it (mainly cos I'm crap at co-ordinating!)

hollyandalice · 04/06/2007 21:56

Is anyone watching that paul merton in china thing? He has gone to an orphanage to meet americans who have adopted chinese babies. The babies are soooo cute!! I just asked dp if we could have one, he said no !!

DesperateDerlor · 04/06/2007 21:59

well i'd hate to put you off - if you can afford it and you like it GET IT!!!
(i would ) I got loads of "i must have that" stuff with my 1st and it felt great - you enjoy yourself after all you work hard so SPEND YOUR WELL EARNED CASH - or just ask someone to get it for you as a present!!!

hollyandalice · 04/06/2007 21:59

No you won't look like a prick dkma! Just very co-ordinated and stylish! Try and get one off ebay though, much cheaper! I am still mum with all the gear and dd is 2! I have just displaced my shopping obssesion from shoes and handbags to baby stuff and pushchairs! I love stuff!

bumperlicious · 04/06/2007 22:09

DKMA if you love it get it! I have a fairly expensive changing bag which was a present for my birthday, but not because I wanted to have all the gear, but it was just an excuse for another nice bag! The only thing I have found with the Cath K one's is that they are huge (and I'm a big bag kinda girl!), they swamped me when I had a look at them. Which ever bag you pick, make sure you pick it because you really like it, don't give toss what anyone else thinks!

I'm worried people are going to think that about me with my new Quinny pushchair - but then everything else we've got is second hand. Now if only my pushchair was yellow... listen to me - a couple of weeks ago I just had to have a red bag! I'm such a fashion victim (but a bargain hunter with it!)

bumperlicious · 04/06/2007 22:11

I don't know if it's the way I'm sitting, on my trackies digging in, but my fanjo has gone numb - should I be worried?

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 04/06/2007 22:12

I am a bit embarrassed at the amount of baby related stuff I have got over the past 8 months!

People keep asking me what I'd like them to get for a pressie - but I seem to have got everything except for a nice changing bag. Is it ok to ask for one of those? Would people think it is more of a pressie for me than the baby? Would people rather get something for the baby?

I have a group of my horsey mates (most don't have kids - so may be they wont care) who want to all chip in together and get a pressie - so may be I should mention it to them? what do you think? I hate asking for things - feel so cheeky!

DesperateDerlor · 04/06/2007 22:15

if they are asking you then NO it's not cheeky - at least they'll be gr=etting yo something you actually want.
Bumper get up and walk about lets hope it doesn't turn into pins and needles!!!!

DesperateDerlor · 04/06/2007 22:15

oops getting you
