I think my pelvic floor is beyond hope annobal, I don't think anyone can fix it!

lilKelBel · 04/06/2007 09:48

Hiya!

Daisy, just to tell you, I was hunting like MAD for (fitted!) lilac sheets too - found some - which size is it you're after? Cot or cotbed?

Also I understand your CS fears - was exactly in your place last Thursday and feeling very scared. Like I've said before though my fear of reliving my previous natural birth experience was much worse than my fear of an operation, and I'm so glad I opted for my section. And I can't believe it but just 10 days on, I can walk totally normally and my pelvic floor is actually still there!!!

oops Sienna crying for 10am feed must go.

lilKelBel · 04/06/2007 10:21

lilac fitted sheets in terry only

bumperlicious · 04/06/2007 10:53

Hi all, will you be really if I tell I have only just woken up? I feel like a real human being again. (I look like one too!) It's unbelievable what a good nights sleep can do for you (it helped that DH slept in the spare room - he woke up in the night hearing, panting thought I was in labour but it was the women downstairs getting a dose of prostaglandins!)

Not much of a productive day planned. Must go to the library though so will have to walk into town - so much of an effort at the moment.

Holly, hope your boiler gets fixed asap!

TA, sorry about your friend - maybe she is worried you are going to go into labour while she is there!

Daisy - hope you are ok. Things do seem to be kicking off for you, but you don't want the same situation as last time. At least this time tomorrow it'll all be over or at least happening either way!

TALLULAHBELLE · 04/06/2007 11:11

Morning All,

So no babies in the night then? Am planning a very healthy day - about to do my yoga video (had it for last 6 months and tried it once), walk to town for eye test then aqua natal tonight. Hope all the activity will get things moving - not due till Fri though so silly to get impatient now.

westcoaster · 04/06/2007 11:41

Morning all - glad to hear we're all quite chipper...

Holly - hope your boiler gets sorted - sounds like you've got the perfect excuse to play the 'hormonal pregnant lady' card and insist on immediate service! How else are you going to do the 'Hollywood Hot Water & Towels' scenario??!

Daisy - good luck for your CS - v exciting to know you're going to meet LO so soon!

TA - I was induced and didn't have a bad experience - just a bit quick & clinical so DH missed the whole thing. No major pain or stitches, so I was lucky.

Am v at all of you talking of your 'sweeps' and 'prostaglandin injections from DH/DP'. I've now been diagnosed with a partial 'wall collapse'. Better than the two midwives with the HUGE CAMPING TORCH telling me that they thought my cervix was hanging out on Friday morning but still putting me off anyone going near my girls bits at the moment. Not quite sure how I'm going to deal with labour but thought I'd deal with that when I got to it!

TALLULAHBELLE · 04/06/2007 12:33

That sounds bit scary W/C. Have they said what it means for labour?

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 04/06/2007 13:00

westcoaster....sorry about your problem, ...I was thinking about you over the weekend...

It isn't going to stop you giving birth naturally is it? and will you need an op to sort it out later?

didn't get any sheets....but thank for the link Lilkel. It's actually for the crib. They probably will hae them in babies r us. DH is going to ikea tonight, so I'll get him to pop in and see what they've got in store!

Where's Derlor???????

OP posts:
Seansfatlass · 04/06/2007 13:01

Hi I am still here! Had busy weekend with bloody MIL and SFIL! Just what I need at this stage!! Anyway they have gone, and I have now happily packed away my MILs the bloody family heirloom copper kettle that she 'arranged' on my living room hearth without asking me! Yes, I very nice thing blah, blah - but NOT in my lounge! grrrrr.....

Good luck tomorrow Daisy, am thinking of you !

Trendaverter - I was induced last time (first with gel thingy which didn't work and then on drip which was very successful)and will be this time too. TBH I was quite happy with my induction and am more than happy for this one too. I have no horror stories, it was fine. Try not to worry

Am just waiting to get my date on wed then I will feel happier, I have a 'day off' from the hospital today but have bloods for bile acid and growth scan tomorrow. They have told me that sometimes with OC you actually go into labour early naturally - which I keep wondering if I will esp as my body (and mind) seem to be desperate for some protagladin my thoughts have been truly slapper-esque I confess! Unfortunately DH really not so keen. Oh well!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 04/06/2007 13:10

My DS isn't keen either SFL ....glad to hear that you are still feeling quite chipper, and at least you know you won't have long to wait and that they are looking after you well.

Off for my hospital appointment now......hope fully I will get a sweep and that will kick things off naturally tonight.

feeling very nervous now about tomorrow.....

So... derlor? baby?

Not long to go for you daisy, wishing you positivity for tomorrow xxx

H, def play the hormotional pg lady!! You need hot water ffs... Hope it gets sorted for you.

Bumper, so glad you've slept better, I am waking up loads now and have to admit I did'nt fully realise what a farking nightmare it is!!

Only three more working days to go....

Tallulabelle, how was yoga? I did my video on saturday and felt bloody brilliant, made me wish I'd been more regular with it....

By the way.... where's sputnik?

trendaverter · 04/06/2007 13:19

Sorry to hear that WC

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone with their 'non-horror' induction tales, it really really has eased my worried brain - I was getting ever so anxious! Thanks v much x

I love the boiler man!! He came, he fixed, he left! Hooray! I was really worried that he was not going to be able to fix it and we'd have to wait for parts and I'd not be able to have a home birth and I'd end up in hosp! Worries gone now though, so all is well !!

Hope they give you a successful sweep daisy and all kicks off tonight! Whatever happens you will have a baby tomorrow, I'm soooo excited for you!!

SFL glad you are ok and still cooking your baby! Hope your appts go well and you have your bubs really soon xx

WC hope your prob has no lasting effects and sorts itself on its own, will it have any effects on labour?

My productive day has gone down the pan. Dp has decided to work from home today and has spread himself out in the dining room and is getting in my way! Grrr...maybe I'll leave him to it and go and have a snooze!

sputnik · 04/06/2007 14:15

I'm here. Don't get much chance to go online at the weekend and have spent all day catching up with you lot. Am supposed to be working too.
I'm off to see the gynae in a bit so will have an official report soon, but nothing much seems to be happening. It would be funny if this one cooked longer than DD, who came at 38 weeks - I'm 37 today.

We've been busy here as we finally finished rewiring an then decorating our bedroom, my wonderful BIL has been doing it as he is unemployed atm so it's worked out good, DH would never have finished it on time. So now we're just the spare room and a trip to IKEA away from a finished house (not including the personality transplants to become tidy, orderly people, plus a junkotomy, but never mind)

lilKelBel · 04/06/2007 14:24

who is derlor's text buddy?

sputnik · 04/06/2007 14:30

In case I don't get a chance to post later I just wanted to wish Daisybump best of luck for tomorrow, I'm sure all will go smoothly and in 24 hours you'll have a baby and an end to all your on/off contractions etc. I am jealous!
Will be thinking of you.

DesperateDerlor · 04/06/2007 14:47

hello i'm here - haven't had a baby yet unfortunately - however definately had a show this morning and not the sort my 3yr old DD likes to perform for me either!! - so that was exciting
Daisy i can't believe you'll definately have your LO by this time tomorrow - i'm peeing my pants with excitement for you (literally these days, unfortunately)
Holly ROFL at your waters breaking story

DesperateDerlor · 04/06/2007 14:59

Ok so who's gonna be 1st to get one of these

KDRacey · 04/06/2007 15:23

Thought I'd jump in whilst it was quietish on here - you ladies are hard to keep up with. Have to say since going on maternity leave I haven't wanted to look at a computer so have not been on here much though try to lurk from time to time.

All these June babies seem to be reluctant to show their faces . I can't wait to meet my little boy but EDD not until 23/06 - I'm tired, uncomfortable and emotional now - I want to be a mum. My feet and ankles also appear to have run off with everyone elses. Please come home!

My friend in Dubai was due 4 days before me but was induced on Saturday due to high BP. Haven't heard anything from her since yesterday morning so hoping all is well and she is just happily cuddling her LO.

Daisy, you are so lucky, you'll get to meet your LO tomorrow and things are looking promising for some of you others with twinges/shows here and there.

I've been getting the odd tightening but don't know if it's anything - not had any BH's before and as it's my first I'm a bit in the dark. When it starts hurting and I can't talk I'll start believing it might be starting.

Sorry for the long waffle - will try and get on here more often!

Good luck for all you June ladies (and those May ones still around)

lilKelBel · 04/06/2007 16:18

KD nice to hear from you

Derlor, sign me up for one of those (not!)!

Daisy the countdown is on...will be cheering for you from now till we hear the good news!!!

bumperlicious · 04/06/2007 16:25

Hi KDRacey - good to catch up with you - we are all getting impatient now!

Westcoaster - sorry to hear about your partial wall collapse - doesn't sound as bad as you first thought it was though. Hope it doesn't cause any probs for your labour.

Daisy - hope your sweep kicked things off! You sound pretty relaxed about things either way - look forward to getting my text tomorrow from your DH! Hee hee!

Love the scooter buggy btw Derlor - think it might catch on!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 04/06/2007 16:33

Sounds exciting Derlor....do you think it's all going to kick off overnight then?

Had my hospital appointment, but no sweep...they didn't even do an AN chack as I saw the MW on Thursday...just took bloods and did the consent form etc...so tomorrow it is, as I doubt anything'll happen overnight.

I'll let bumper know by text as soon as I'm on the postnatal ward.

Looks like I'll get a side room as well, which will be much better than sharing a postnatal ward and will be a bit quieter of a night!

I WANT A SCOOTER BUGGY!!! They are sooo cool!

I fell asleep and dp didn't wake me up, so I've only been awake for about half an hour! I moaned at him for not waking me and he said he just wanted to leave me to sleep! I don't believe a word of it. I know that he just didn't want me around nagging him to do stuff!

Hi KD, glad everything is going well, good to hear from you!

Well done for the show derlor , hopefully it won't be long now, fingers crossed for you xx

Hi sputnik, thought you'd popped !! Glad you are ok and that norty cervix of yours has kept that baby in for so long!!

Off to sainsburys (it is on a retail park joining onto an m&s, so I shall be popping in there if my waters break) be back later x
