Ahhh Daisy you must be all excited!
Roll on Tuesday!

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 20:10

I am very much in awe of you and your preparedness daisy! I'm hoping that if I don't do any preparation at all for the bubs coming that he will be early! Sort of like foxy's negative mental attitude!

I am a bit pissed off. I am at my parents' and have been all afternoon. Dp aimed to have the boys on the road by 5 so he could be back for 8. The youngest took over an hour to eat his dinner so they didn't set off til after 6.30! Honestly if I was there I would have taken the food off him and chucked it in the bin! He is 12 FFS, sometimes you would think he was 5! So now dp isn't going to be back til around 9.30ish, which means dd is going to fall asleep here, have to go home asleep in the car, probably wake up and be bouncing off the walls til midnight! Grrr......!

Sorry for that rant!

annobal · 03/06/2007 20:11

Hi everyone, what a lovely day it has been. Daisy, how exciting - you'll have a beautiful baby in 2 days!!!

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 20:12

I know annobal! It's been beautiful! I am freckled to the max! It's getting a bit blowy now, so am thinking it'll prob rain tonight.

justbeme · 03/06/2007 20:15

Hi!
You're very organised Daisy - and thanks for the email!!

Ive been to the DELIVERY WARD today........

Did that shock you? - No thought not!
Had a tour!! I nearly cried at one part as I cant believe its nearly here!!
Had my daughter in another hospital, so wanted a nosie around this one to familiarise myself. Saw the 2 birthing pools - large and very deep - my DP had a fit when they suggested that the partners could get in as well!! ( I wonder what % of men actually do that? So ive told him that im packing his Speedos in my hospital bag!!
Took my daughter with me as well so she felt included and we saw.....a little baby - OMG!! do I actually get one of those?
I liked the Day room where there was cereal and bread lined up and the Midwife said you can go in there and help yourself any time!! MMM cant wait!!

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 20:19

Lol jbm! My pool says on the packaging that it is big enough for partners as well! I can't imagine anything my dp would rather do less! He'd prob faint and I'd end up having to revive him whilst in the throws of labour! Although we did pump it up and he sat in it with me and said how brilliant it was and could we fill it with water and watch tv in it! He's such a child! Glad your visit went well, does it all seem really real now??

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 20:20

If the sun doesn't shine tomorrow......the shorts have been worn three times and washed once...so not a lot of wear and tear there!

holly, it's like those boys just go out of their way to wind you up. When do you next have them? Could they take it in turns visiting after LO is born so you don't have them all at once?

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 20:21

On the partner in the pool thing...I think I'd be hard pushed to like being in there with all the floaty bits, never mind DH!!

justbeme · 03/06/2007 20:24

Think I might give it a go, if ones free -
also am going to order my TENS from www.naturesgate-uk.com - seems really reasonable.
Oh and bought the raspberry tablets from H & B today. It says you can tip the contents out into a cup of hot water if you want - so 2 for 1!!

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 20:28

Hopefully they will all come down together a few days after the baby is born for one night and then not come down again for a while. Though the ex wife is being a complete cow atm and making all sorts of demands and getting all arsey. She the same when dd was born, so I sort of know what to expect. When dp went to pick them up on fri she asked about where everyone was going to sleep once the baby was here. Dp said that alice will go in the room where the boys currently sleep and the baby will go in her room, but this won't be happening for a few months and when it does the boys will have to sleep on fold out beds downstairs. Well she went off on one saying how selfish we were and couldn't alice and the baby share and she was screaming and shouting at him! FFS we can't have 2 children of the opposite sex sharing a room so we can keep the other room spare for 2 nights a fortnight! She is mental and a horrible common witch and needs to go out and get a fucking job and a life!

Wow, that was a rant and a half, I apologise again!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 20:32

and for you Holly....and surely your domestic arrangements are of absolutely no concern of hers!

OP posts:
justbeme · 03/06/2007 20:32

Holly......
How very difficult - this Step family business is so hard..........

annobal · 03/06/2007 20:34

Your hospital sounds really lovely JBM. You have to beg for a cup of tea at the QE, let alone get a piece of toast. And as for special diets...

LOL on floaty bits in pool - DH puts up with a lot but I really don't think I could see him getting in the pool with me. Mind you, he did say at our birth talk that he would like to deliver the baby .

Have fingers crossed for lovely day tomorrow Daisy, you need to get you cpw (cost per wear) down .

annobal · 03/06/2007 20:35

Holly - what a cow

justbeme · 03/06/2007 20:37

Ive been summoned off the internet........... (He feels left out!)
So will catch up 2mrow.

BTW, just tried to buy stuff off Ebay for £9 and it said Ive exceeded my limit or something and they need to verify my bank account, so they would send 2 small amounts to my bank and over the next 3-5 days i'd need to check my ac and then verify the amounts!! FFS, theyve let me spent over £1,000 recently and 2mrow I was going to buy my cot mattress from Kiddicare!! Has any one else had this?????

Ohh and Night all!! xx

annobal · 03/06/2007 20:38

Night JBM

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 20:40

I know, the fucking witch! The last major arguement that we all had was because I hid some food that I'd bought for myself from the boys. That resulted in her not letting dp see the boys for about 6 weeks! So now I have to make every cupboard and drawer available to them and if they find food that may be hidden they run back and tell their mum! I bet if she bought herself something nice she would hide it from them, surely all parents do that, I know mine did! Though she prob doesn't buy any nice food for herself, all her money goes on fags!

Right that's it, no more ranting, I'm going to be nice cheary Holly from now on, full of rainbows and lollipops, just had to get that off my chest!

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 20:42

Night jbm. It's your paypal account that needs verifying, it's not your bank account. They will send you 2 amounts, usually something like 16p and 32p and you then log into paypal and type in how much the amounts are. You can then use your account as much as you want.

annobal · 03/06/2007 20:44

Holly - sounds like you need to start hiding food

Actually sounds as though she is jealous.

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 20:48

I just spend the days before they come down eating all the nice food! Because of their attitudes they very rarely get treats or puddings when they are with us. They can't complain because dd never has pudding, only ever fruit or yoghurt, so they are all equal!

I'll be back in a bit, I'm sat upstairs in my bro's room and it is dirty and making me feel a bit sick! I'll log back on when I get home, don't all go to bed!!
