Foxy, if visualising my cervix is what floats your boat then far be it from me to stop you... but do you mind if I don't actively participate in the whole thinking/seeing up fanjo business?

trendaverter · 03/06/2007 18:10

It is a bit disheartening, especially as I thought it would be early, but after listening to MiD I am going to shut up and be thankful I am not 11 days over!

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 18:13

No more babies then ?! What is up with us? I am going to clear the dining room tonight once dp gets home and partially inflate the pool. Then again that might be tempting fate and make me late! However if I don't do it I'll be early, not have time to inflate and fill the pool and end up giving birth on the floor! What's a girl to do?!

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 18:13

I just don't know H&A! Have you wallpapered your bedroom yet?

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 18:17

No, but it is ready and waiting! Dp is hoping to start it thurs and get it finished at the weekend. It's taking ages, the last bit of paper was a right bugger to get off! At least the bedroom is clear and tidy and the bed is back up, so if I do have the baby this week at least I will have the bed if I need it.

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 18:25

I'm looking around seeing all the piles of paperwork are mounting up again. There's suddenly a heap of stuff waiting to go to the dump and charity shop, and the food in the freezer is going down - I think I peaked too soon and will have to bloody well start nesting for a second time and do it all again!

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 18:28

Right, I'm off to bed. N'night all. Good luck to anyone with twinges.

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 18:29

I'm the same foxy! My dp seems to think the dining room table is his office. He has a desk upstairs, but because it is so full of crap he can't use it, so spreads his quotes and stuff all over the dining room table. I can't move it because he has it in some sort of order and I mess it up. Silly man! Does he not know that I need things to be tidy(ish) slightly organised! I am going to make him fill the loft with the car boot stuff we never got round to selling. Maybe you could do the same. After all out of sight out of mind!

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 18:29

Night early bird! Hope you have a good sleep! 12 hours at least! xx

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 18:30

LOL foxy....i agree with TA.

Tried all that visualisation nonsense, and the thought of my cervix opening up like a flower just made me PMSL...I'm not really cut out for all that new age stuff!

Good News.....I have nothing, and I mean nothing, nowt, zilch, zero, nada.....left to iron in my house! All the laundry is washed and ironed and mostly put away. There are one or two bits in the laundry basket, but That Is All...DH never thought we'd see the day

OK, Bubs, I'm done, you can come out now!!

Well done daisy !!! You are a super duper housewifey type!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 18:33

Not really...now I've just got to sift through about a years worth of paperwork and try to find my chequebook, passport driving licence, marriage licence and various other important documents that have been buried over the last year!.....but that's a job for a rainy day!

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 18:33

personally I'm sticking with my negative attitude to the whole thing! Seems the best way to avoid disappointment! Roll on July!

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 18:35

I had to do that the other day daisy. It took me hours. Dp had to have his driving licence for work and I couldn't bloody find it. It turned up in a box under our bed!

lulumama · 03/06/2007 18:35

OI- cervix opening like a flower is my favourite visualisation ! ! !

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 18:35

sods law dictates though Foxy, that if you want/expect to be late, bub will be early just to foil your best laid plans!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 18:36

Sorry Lulu....just can't take it seriously...no offence intended

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 18:36

I can see a box of christmas cards over there . Wouldn't be so bad, but I didn't send any this year

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 18:37

I can't do that visualisation stuff without giggling like an idiot! I'm quite lentil weavery, but not that much!

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 18:37

Exactly Daisy!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 18:37

You could always use them as birth announcememt cards, LOL

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 18:38

Bedtime for me and bubs xx

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 18:38

Maybe if you want bubs to be late you should wish for her to be late and try and double bluff her! I don't think newborn babies can see through double bluffs !

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 18:39

Just checked Natty's blog...still nothing about bubba, and she hasn't answered my text.

I hope she's just busy with new baby, demanding toddler, house sorting out and that everything is OK!
