baby has just started going nuts though - coincidence????

annobal · 03/06/2007 14:56

I like your photos DKMA. I don't s'pose you can ride your horse while pg, can you?

After my enormously productive morning, I have just woken up from a 2 hour nap , and now we're off to a friend's house for supper. YAY no cooking tonight .

annobal · 03/06/2007 14:57

Well done on the ironing Daisy, I think you were ironing when I went to sleep.

annobal · 03/06/2007 14:59

See you all tonight...

DesperateDerlor · 03/06/2007 15:00

oh Annobal have a lovely time - my friend is just about to come over with her 5 yr old who will hopefully play nicely with my 7 and 3 yr olds so tea, cakes and feet up for the girls while the LO's play (hopefully)
hope they don't mind the smell of clary sage.

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 03/06/2007 15:02

Right... I'm off to Mamas ans Papas before they shut, and am going to do some damage on the credit card!

Annobal - havent been able to ride my horse since February . He's a bit nuts (likes to jump / gallop / buck etc) so falling off is not unusual!! I think if I tried to sit on him now he'd chuck my enormous weight right off!!

DesperateDerlor · 03/06/2007 15:05

Have fun - you'll have to give us a full list later of your purchases
i'm off to to get the kettle on back later x

madeindevon2 · 03/06/2007 15:57

hello to all you june girls getting frustrated and you not even got to due date yet! im 11 days overdue today (crashing in from the very lonely may thread!!) i thought i was big at 37 38 weeks. now im nearly 42 and feel MASSIVE!
Midwife said my cervix has finally decided to do something after being very posterior all week BUT baby's head has moved back..not ideal of course so been for nice walk in park (not that easy in this heat with this massive bump and swollen feet!)
midwife also said....well we know this is a big baby too so maybe head just wont fit?? suppose we have to wait and see....so aswell as talking about induction (booked for tuesday) we talked about c section too in case baby doesnt fit.
Despite all of this i feel ok. Just happy that i will finally get to meet my baby this week!! Was starting to think i might just give birth to a toddler!!

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 15:57

Anyone heard from Sputnik recently? And Ria has been awfully quiet the past couple of days? Hope no-one is off secretly having babies without telling us!

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 16:17

I hope not Bumper!
Hi madeindevon, don't worry, its going to happen and soon! (She says knowing its absolutely murder going so far over!). Hope you are coping ok - especially with all those oh-so-well-meaning "any news yet?" questions!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 16:22

Madeindevon...big labour vibes for you for between now and Tuesday.....eat more pineapples, clary sage baths, sex and nipple stim....and lean over that birthing ball to get bub in better position.

Good Luck!

Not long now madindevon - I hope it all goes ok. You must be so frustrated! Especially with us going on and on and most of us aren't even 40 weeks yet!

trendaverter · 03/06/2007 16:23

Yes I am due only today and I swear if I get one more phone call from Mother or MIL or any other family saying 'Are you in labour yet?' I am going to scream

I can't imagine putting up with that for 11 more days....arrgghh!!

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 16:26

Even now if I don't answer my mobile or landline I get frantic texts asking if I have gone into labour!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 16:28

I've had about 8 calls today....and my due date isn't even till next Sunday and everyone knows I'm booked in on Tuesday

can only imagine what it would be like if I went over!!

OP posts:
madeindevon2 · 03/06/2007 16:38

luckily im not getting too many calls. most of my family are calling my mum so she is the one fielding all the, "is she in labour yet?" "have you forgotton to tell us?" calls!
my dh is at his mums at moment and so is my sister in law and family (im at home). she just called me and i heard dh in the background shouting "has she had it yet!" what a comedian.....

madeindevon2 · 03/06/2007 16:40

im getting a lot of texts from friends but i don't mind that so much when they asking how im doing....plus you can ignore texts easily if you really want to!

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 16:41

Hoh yes, they all think it's sooo funny don't they. I wonder how they would feel if they had to wonder around with a medicine ball shoved up their tops for the next few weeks!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 16:42

I hope it all works out naturally for you MID...but even inductions can be successful. I was 10 days over with my DS when I was induced and after 3 doses of prostin, I was dilating nicely and waters broke naturally......try to avoid the dreaded drip if you can though!

trendaverter · 03/06/2007 17:16

I have just got to the point where I am saying "Oh yes, I had it earlier, right after afternoon tea between scones. Did I not tell you? Terribly sorry. It is very large, sex not yet known and we have named it Alien"

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 17:18

ROFL TA......it is a stoopid question though...I got lots of "Oh, not had it then"....you get to the point where you feel like saying, yes I did, but decided to leave him/her at home alone whilst I paraded around town with a basket ball shoved up my t-shirt for the hell of it!

trendaverter · 03/06/2007 17:26

PMSL!

madeindevon2 · 03/06/2007 17:33

hahaha yeah. my neighbours have been away on holiday for 2 weeks. they were sorry they were going to be away for birth. they just arrived back and are very surprised to see me still waddling about!! (glad they back tho...she is great...already offering to do shopping and she only been back 5 mins. and she is a nurse too...handy..not quite as handy as midwife but next best thing!)
anyway im off to a bbq now. extra hot sauce on the burger for me!! (and dh WILL perform/produce tonight whether he likes it or not!)
thanks daisy....there is still time to avoid the dreaded drip!!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 17:37

Crossing my fingers for you MiD!!

OP posts:
foxybrown · 03/06/2007 17:43

TA, I feel for you, its very disheartening when the due date comes - and goes. There's still time and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Perhaps if we could have a session for you and Daisy en masse of visualising your cervix opening ...
