oh goodness what a busy morning.
Well i had an eventful night but unfortunately NOT a productive one!!

woke up at 01.00 due to DD coughing like a nutter - anyway - got her settled then noticed that i was having contractions every 5 mins or so This went on till 03.30 - with contractions being anything from 4-7 mins apart. DH was up with me timing them and they were each alsting between 30-40 seconds. Then they just got milder and STOPPED!!!
went back to bed and slept till 09.30 and now big fat nadda!!!! well, have some of Daisy's afore mentioned snot discharge but no more contractions! -
so that is me.
All that excitement for nothing. Do feel a bit off colour today though and have an upset stomach - better not have been the cause of all this.

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 12:55

How frustrating derlor! Can't be long now though.

Someone else has got to have a baby soon - it's been AGES!

DesperateDerlor · 03/06/2007 13:01

I know Bumper - think we will have a sudden splurge soon with several arriving every day. Like waiting for a bus!!!!

DesperateDerlor · 03/06/2007 13:03

oh meant to say i too had a delightful dose of prostaglandins last night before bed so might try that again tonight as it semed to do some good anyway!!!

MISSING REWARD OFFERED*

One pair of previously slim ankles. Disappeared at some point on Friday evening.

High chance of them being found alongside other bodily areas that have long since left me! Those being.....

  1. Slim waist line (last seen approx 7 mths ago)
  2. Toned thighs (last seen approx 5 months ago)
  3. Reasonable sized arse (Last seen approx 4 months ago)
  4. Averaged sized upper arms - now replaced with what looks like over stuffed sausages.

If returned safely some time soon - a handsome reward of 1/2 packet of munchies and 1/2 tub of vanilla ice cream will be offered (reluctantly)

DesperateDerlor · 03/06/2007 13:10

I'm sure a saw a woman yesterday who has stolen ALL your body parts and put them on herself - i'll notify my local police station immediately.........(Derlor grabs phone and dials 999)

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 03/06/2007 13:32

Cheeky cow!

I want them BACK!!!

Think I'll have to eat the munchies and ice-cream myself then!!

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 13:43

DKMA - I have all your lovely body parts! Fortunately they are cunningly disguised under this fat suit that I am wearing!

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 13:44

According to my homeopathic pack Caulophyllum is "to help if contractions slow or stop". I know Welenda do Caulphyllum 30 which you can get in the shops, so might be worth a look in a chemist if you are out and about?

Anyone got the Clary Sage burning yet?

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 13:47

Weleda even.

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 13:47

I've got some massage oil with clary sage in it and was under strict instructions not to use it until labour, they wouldn't even let me smell it in the shop - but maybe now is the time to go and have a quick waft!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 03/06/2007 13:47

Foxy - Clary sage smells minging
I've been burning Jasmine - which is also meant to help get things going - and smells pretty

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 13:51

I love jasmine mmmm just lovely!

caulophyllum

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 13:55

personally I'm a bit sceptical about it all, but will give anything a go when the time comes!

Now where IS DomesticGrumpess today?

lulumama · 03/06/2007 13:57

any babies yet? no pressure, or anything......

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 14:00

Nothing to see here lulu I'm afraid - just a bunch of crotchety fed up heavily pg women!

lulumama · 03/06/2007 14:05

oh bless you all, have some flapjacks!

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 14:17

Mmm, thanks - food usually does cheer us up!

DesperateDerlor · 03/06/2007 14:21

Bummer - i've got some clary sage in my hospital bag should i have smeared it all over myself last night???????

DesperateDerlor · 03/06/2007 14:26

oh this is a handy wee link
Derlor skips off to start rubbing clary sage into bump whilst eating pineapple and having sex!!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 03/06/2007 14:32

Great link delor!

I had reflexology yesterday and have been wiffing up so much Jasmine that my nose hurts.

I'm going to go for a long walk around Mamas and Papas in a bit - will that count also?

I've added more pictures on my profile - of me doing something last summer that I am hoping I will be able to do again some time soon!!! I miss riding my lovely horse

DesperateDerlor · 03/06/2007 14:39

you look like a pro on your horse!!!
yeah i've been DH to rub my labour inducing reflexology points like mad.
I am currently loaded with the cold so might as well sniff my clary sage now. If it really is minging then i won't be able to smell it anyway!! might even clear my snotty nose

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 14:46

I was crushing some clary sage between my fingers and sniffing it at the arden centre yesterday, but don't think it would have the potentcy of the oil....should havehad some before now really, think its a bit too late for any of the natural stuff for me....

Pains/twinges/nasty muscle pain have all gone away today, and thankfully so has the sciatica!

Done all my ironing though...only the stuff that's on the line at the moment to think about!

DesperateDerlor · 03/06/2007 14:49

i now have some clary sage on a tissue stuffed down my cleavage - it doesn't smell too bad and is having the same effect as olbas oil so if nothing else i will be able to smell again!!!
