That's lovely. Can't wait to get to oz to start decorating (well getting rid of the horror that is there now and then decorating)

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 11:48

Yep, laura ashley all the way! I have officially turned into my mother! Unfortunately I now need the matching bedding and accessories!

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 11:50

Yes you do Holly! It is lovely.

I very nearly bought an extending dining table then! Reduced to half price. Stopped myself in the nick of time!

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 11:55

Poor dp! I don't think he realises how expensive this project is going to be!! The wallpaper is quite cheap, the bedding is not!

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 11:56

Well done for not buying the table! I hope laura ashley is not going to turn into our new cath kidston!

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 12:02

But expensive bedding is lovely! and stays lovely.

BadZelda · 03/06/2007 12:03

Oh we've no carpets - so mess tends to be quite localized. Settled for sweeping and mopping the main living area...will be immaculate for another...10 mins till DH and DD get back from the flower-market...

I've also cleaned out the top of our cupboard, and filled up the new chest of drawers we got at the evergreen trust yesterday (20 squid, brand new 50 quid chest from ikea - no assembly or delivery required! you gotta love recycled furniture) Do I get the halo for a bit?

Now ravenous. Fresh crab for lunch apparently. Mmmm

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 12:07

WHat's the evergreen trust? Is it a london thang?

I am looking on ebay for accs and bedding and curtains. Always one for bargains me!

annobal · 03/06/2007 12:10

I love nice bed linen - have had a thing for The White Company for a while. M&S are actually doing some really nice bed linen too, now - you do have to see it though as it doesn't do it justice on the web site - not too expensive either.

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 12:15

I am conducting a scientific experiment to see how independent my children are:

so far this morning my children have had their wash in the paddling pool and got themselves dressed. 2 out of 3 have cleaned their teeth.

Its amazing what they go and do all by themselves with no parental guidance. DP is sat in his pants watching sport and I am still in pj's on here.

I have fed them. Toasted some scotch pancakes and got some fruit out of the fridge.

Wonder if I can pull this off until bedtime??

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 12:17

We stupidly bought our last lot of bedlinen from Ikea. Bad move. The duvet covers are a couple of inches too big and look really scruffy. Surprisingly the cotton is really thick and quite good quality, but they just don't fit. I want some lovely bedding! Maybe I'll wait a month or so for the sales. I won't want to put new bedding on the bed before then anyway, it might get blood/milk/yuk on it!

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 12:19

My dd does much better on her own as well foxy! She even gets her own snacks sometimes! She is at the "I want to do everything myself and if you do it for me I'll scream and throw myself on the floor" stage. Glad you are in your pjs! I am too! They are far too comfy to change out of!

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 12:19

You can get some good stuff in TK Maxx too.

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 12:20

I love tk maxx!

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 12:22

DD is wearing her Disney princess nighty (as daywear, she put it on this morning) a gold toy pendant necklace, a silver bracelet on one arm, a metallic pink on the other, a rainbow hairband and fake pink frou-frou mules. All her own work. She looks gorgeous with her grubby face, with toast crumbs stuck to sun-cream!

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 12:23

ooh, I can't wait til there's four of them!

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 12:27

Lol foxy! I actually got my dd dressed (in a lovely monsoon outfit!!), but she has crumbs on her face and hands, messy hair and hairbands all up her arms! Your dd's outfit sounds lovely, I love it when little girls dress themselves, they always do a good job of looking like a princess!

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 12:28

Wow you lot are actually Doing Stuff. I am doing nothing productive. Weather has clouded over so not sitting outside. Just repacked hospital bag as too much stuff so now have a bag for labour and just after and a bag for when I go on the ward. Feeling v depressed though as I bought some trackie bottoms from Primark in size 12-14 and they are too tight in the legs now. my body is never going to be the same. And I know it's all my own fault for too much ice cream and chocolate. I hate having no clothes that fit! Hate being fat

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 12:28

Exactly! She says I'm the Queen and she's the princess.

And she truely is

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 12:32

Your body will prob always be different bumper. Not always a bad thing, you may not be bigger or smaller, just different. You need extra fat atm anyway. Your bod is getting ready for you to bf and that takes loads of energy reserves! I'm sure you look lovely!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 12:32

I can't wait till I've got my little princess to dress up and go shopping with....

...even if it turns out to be a boy

Now got another kiddy to look after...the gardening has taken a serious turn and DH's mate has popped over with his little girl, but thankfully the LOs are watching transformers and are quiet.

Girls are great fun daisy! My dd has some beautiful clothes (mainly bought for her by her overindulgent grandmother) and I love dressing her up! If only she stayed clean for more than 5 mins though!

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 12:42

Does anyone else think we have actually been pretty slow off the mark. We've had what 3 babies? Sorry 4, (NannyJo, Fannyannie, Lilkel and NT&E) and alrady it's the 3rd of the month.

Those April girls had mostly had their's by this time in April hadn't they?!

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 12:44

I think we all need to be having more sex bumper! Althought that is much easier said than done! Yes we are being extremely slow! I think brownsuga should have had her baby by now, so that puts our total up to 5!

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 12:48

Well DH certainly won't complain! I've had my dose of prostaglandin for today, hoe it does something!

Don't really now why I'm getting so fed up, not even due for another 2 weeks, just convinced myself that I would be early and figure that since I am nearly 38 weeks I could go at any time. I just hate the not knowing - it drives me crazy - also, having never done this before, I don't know what signs to be looking out for. Trying to second guess every twinge.
