BTW...it's another absolutely glorious day here again......hot weather is good for getting babies out according to my MW!

Bless your dh daisy! Do you think it was a show? It can come away in bits I think, surely it's a good sign!

Go for the rlt jbm! I'm sure it's what helped me push my dd out so quickly. Am not massaging. Mainly because I can't touch that area without feeling a bit sick because of it being a scar from stitches last time! It feels really funny!

justbeme · 03/06/2007 10:14

I agree its a beautiful day - am looking hideous in some shorts though (where did those cottage cheese legs come from?? and will they disappear?)
Am wearing 2 vests tops - one "A la Daisy" - ie just worn over my bump to hide the exposed midriff!
Mind you there is NO WAY I would go out wearing shorts - have told DP I dont know what Im going to wear if the weather stays like this for the next 4-5 weeks as I only have 2 maternity skirts and one of those is starting to get too tight!

annobal · 03/06/2007 10:16

Holly. How does your bedroom look though?

Gorgeous day here too. Don't think we'll be doing much today apart from visiting some friends this afternoon.

LOL Foxy re DH sleeping on the stairs. Dunno about you but I always find I don't mind the evening when they're out but the next day is always a write off with moaning on the couch about how ill they are!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 10:16

Not sure holly.....and stop right now for the TMI alert.....

...I was having a grope round still searching for the elusive cervix, and it was on my finger...also had a bit of fluid as well, but can't be sure whether I'd wee'd myself or not (luckily I was on the toilet!!)

But, no more of either since then...and I feel physically much better than I have done for the last few days...but that's probably cos DH is home and dealing with small tiring boy for me.

Gahh though, they've just got back from a visit to the shops and DH bought DS a pack of bloody wotsits....I have refused to deal with the general stroppiness that will appear soon after the e-numbers and msg and associated other crap have soaked in....

jbm...what size are you? I bought a pair of shorts in vertbaudet that I will no longer need after Tuesday....you'd be more than welcome to them!

annobal · 03/06/2007 10:18

Wow Daisy, only 2 more days

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 10:20

OMG I forgot to share something with you all that I saw in sainsburys the other day. I PMSL and thought about MN! There was a dad with two little girls in a trolley. One was about 3 and was sitting in a big seat and next to her in one of those baby seats was a young baby, she must have been about 4 months old because she didn't look like she could sit. Anyway the dad got a tub of marshmallows out of the trolley and gave one to the older girl, fair enough, a nice treat for her. Then he put one in the baby's mouth! Whole! He stuffed it right in, the baby ate it and then he gave her another one! I couldn't believe it! I just stood there and stared in disbelief! Then I thought "Bloody hell, look what MN has done to me!" I was chuckling to myself for ages after that!

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 10:22

Daisy - tuesday, that's like two and half days, two and a half days and you will have your LO - eeekkk!

I'm eeeking a lot at the moment! Part of me can't wait until this baby comes, but part of me is actually quite content at the moment. Yeah, I'm sleep deprived and generally just uncomfy all the time, but it's like those contented hormones that they promised me during pregnancy have finally kicked in! Until my next hysterical sobbing episode anyway! And yes I have a feeling mine too will be about the state of my body. And I know I only have myself to blame for eating so much crap, but it's like I just cannot help myself at the moment!

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 10:24

So this cervix business - what should I be checking for? If I get this pursed mouth thing what does that mean?

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 10:25

ROFL at your cervix daisy! I still can't find mine! Might ask dp tonight, but he may get the wrong idea! Wotsits are ok, they may look shit, but have no nasties in them. The colour is paprika and they have no msg in them. I used to get funny about dd having them until I read the ingredients, they are fine, honestly!

trendaverter · 03/06/2007 10:27

JBM, I have briefed DH on the procedure, first he tells Mum, then my best mate, then you!!

Still getting twinges but nothing regular or even interesting. No show, no waters, nada. I need it to happen soon though as I have a mate coming over tomorrow, but she can only come from 8am-6pm, argh too long! Need labour so I have an excuse not to see her. Does that make me evil?

trendaverter · 03/06/2007 10:28

Can IU ask - I may be a bit dim, but what do Wotsits have to do with kissy lips cervixes?
Or is it best I don't ask?

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 10:30

Daisy just said she didn't want her ds eating wotsits because of nasties! Sorry, should have started a new line!

trendaverter · 03/06/2007 10:31

Ah HA

I need to keep up evidently

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 10:33

That's not bad about the wotsits then....still not happy with himeating crisps in general though as they are usually loaded with salt....

Bumper, I thought you looked quite neat with your bump, but I know what you mean, I could have been positively sylph like if I hadn't eaten all the chocolate that I have....its my thighs that have got the worst of it...I was at a friends for luch the other day and could only just squeeze into one of their dining chairs, and it was a big chunky pine thing as well!

Getting on for less than two days as well bumper...I'm second on the list I believe, so might even have the bub by this time on Tuesday...eeeeek! I'm hoping for a private room (£30 a night, but worth it I think) and some well earned rest for a few days!

OP posts:
DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 10:34

PMSL TA....what did you think I was doing with the Wotsits???

OP posts:
hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 10:36

IKWYM daisy. I don't usually let dd have crisps, except those organix ones! They are great, the cheesy herby ones are yum, I can't stop myself eating them!

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 10:41

Awww, thanks daisy. I know what you mean though, I haven't done too badly but I do think what I would have been like without all that ice cream for breakfast, and indulging in cakes at work, etc...the thing is that my bump has actually narrowed my waist, pulling out my love handles because it sticks out so much. When there is no longer a baby in there it's all going to ping back and I'll have panniers around my hips!

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 10:43

heh heh heh have just built the new paddling pool (yep, Mother Superior again, it has a gazebo on top!) and the kids have insisted DP get in it with them. He must still be pissed as he's letting them get him with the hose! Am PMSL! The advantages of the bedroom window opening onto the garden ...

LOL at the marshmallow dad, well, shouldn't laugh really, rumour has it a little girl died choking on a grape here, so a rap on the knuckles for him really.

JBM Holland & Barrett do RLT tablets in either 640mg or 400mg.

Am remembering all of you a couple of weeks ago, with your sleep deprivation - its very reassuring to be at the end in some ways as you've all experienced it already.

Time to settle down with the sunday papers, I think. Am going to have such a nice day

justbeme · 03/06/2007 10:50

Wow I popped off into the garden for a lovely Tiger bread roll with bacon/tomatoes/brown sauce and REAL butter and you lot have nearly filled the thread again!!

Daisy, i guess im a 14, what would you like for them? (guess you havent worn them much?)

Foxy - whats the best mg of RL to buy then? are there any recommendations?

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 10:54

You are a indeed mother superior foxy! My dd is still in her nightie and is watching some shitey irish pig show on cbeebies....mmmm bad parenting alert! She has had a nice healthy breakfast though, vegemite on toast with raisins and dried apricots! I must get MN stars for that! I'm gonna disappear to my parents' in a bit. Then I won't have to do any parenting at all today!

justbeme · 03/06/2007 10:56

The suns beckoning for me too - just going to have a lazy day - although the Tiler's here in my upstairs bathroom - so sort of not going to do much till he's gone after 1.

I'll check in later XX

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 10:57

Mmmmm tiger bread...

TricityBendix · 03/06/2007 10:58

I don't care how pregnant you all are. Because of your thread title I now have Showaddywaddy singing "Under the Moon of Love" going round and round and round in my head. AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!! It's driving me mad.
