AAAARRRRRRRSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEE!!! I wanna go to bed, but as I am sleeping on the sofa I can't until everyone goes to bed. I'm not holding my breath that that is going to happen soon!

DesperateDerlor · 02/06/2007 22:51

you'll make it think positive - sure they won't want to visit anyway when LO is up screaming during the night - just leave him to cry a little longer than usual the 1st time they visit - watch them beg to go home!!!
right i'm off to bed - will try to go into labour so not to disapoint you x
back tomorrow no doubt, still farking PG!!

DesperateDerlor · 02/06/2007 22:53

just put your jammies on - and bring in a quilt telling them you ARE going to bed so they have to leave the room NOW - stick up for yourself girl. DO IT NOW XX

hollyandalice · 02/06/2007 22:54

I'll be checking back during the night! If you go in do a quick post if you can! Hope you do and have a scrummy new person by breakfast! xxx

hollyandalice · 02/06/2007 22:55

Good idea! I'm far too passive sometimes!

Night xxx

Morning, hope everyone had a great sleep. Has anything kicked off overnight?

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 07:40

Morning, am knackered coz bloody DH has a cold and kept waking me up with his snoring! I actually poked him in the eye at one point to get him to stop (I wasn't deliberately aiming for his eye - it was just a happy coincidence!). It's really annoying coz I was actually sleeping pretty deeply in between. I think the hypotherapy CD makes me sleep better (btw annobal - did you want a copy?) plus I have finally realised that I actually sleep better without a damn pillow between my knees. So all would be well except for DH's bloody snoring!

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 07:41

DG - you still with us?! Any advance on the labour front?

annobal · 03/06/2007 08:23

Hi Bumper, know what you mean about DH snoring. I've taken to holding his nose closed - he either wakes up when he realises he can't breathe or turns over. AND he's having another sleep in this morning (grrrrrr). Would love a copy of the cd, thank you! I was listening to the Gentle Birth Method one but Gowri Motha's voice is not particularly soothing .

T&G watching Hercules this morning. Slightly assuages my guilt that they are watching something slightly educational , even if it is walt disney....

BadZelda · 03/06/2007 08:35

Morning everyone...no more babies yet then?
DD was eight days early...so that would mean baby by Thursday...but not holding out much hope. DH has suddenly become v. impatient and keeps asking me if I've felt anything. Anyone else noticed their breasts have got bigger and feel sore?

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 08:43

morning all. Sorry to hear nothings moving yet DG, Derlor and Daisy!

had a really awful night. just not sleeping, despite being exhausted. Not helped by DP coming home and being disgracefully drunk. He slept on the sofa eventually, but spend 4 hours asleep on the stairs. I stepped over him twice and he didn't stir. Tried to wake him up, and had already made him a bed up on the sofa so he had no excuses. Anyway, he's gone back to bed now, but he foolishly promised to go to the park to play footy with the kids days ago. So he may not get out of that one! Am completely knackered, grumpy and more tired now than went I went to bed last night

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 08:44

Morning BZ, no signs for me here. Occasionally getting what feel like period pains, but comes to nothing. Is boobs being sore a sign? It's so frustrating these last few weeks!

bumperlicious · 03/06/2007 08:45

Sorry to hear you have had a crap night too Foxy. Hoep your day is better. Think it's a day laying out in the sun for me today!

annobal · 03/06/2007 08:48

Morning! Not really wanting signs here yet as I have another 4 weeks to go and would really like LO to stay put until 37 weeks so I can have home birth...

You know how quickly it can all kick off though - I didn't know I was in labour with either until my waters broke (flooded) and started having contractions straight away.

annobal · 03/06/2007 08:52

Foxy. Can you rest while DH is at the park (penance and all that)?

BadZelda · 03/06/2007 08:54

Waters never went for me last time - they got broken by the MW at the final stage of labour...so I haven't got a clue about that part. In fact if I remember there were no signs before at all - just woke up with regular pains in the morning, which stopped but were back by lunchtime, and DD was born that evening.

annobal · 03/06/2007 09:02

Wow - hope mine is like that BZ!

LOs abandoned Hercules for making scarey masks to wake daddy up with - I wonder whose idea that was

trendaverter · 03/06/2007 09:10

Morning all! Nothing from me either I'm afraid, except a bloody bad mood that nothing is happening.

foxybrown · 03/06/2007 09:21

I'm not sure he's in any state to do childcare today.

At least he's had his New Baby Blow Out. He won't be doing it again for many years. He didn't go clubbing, which is a good thing, as I told him if he did I would turn up in my nighty and demand him home!

It was funny seeing him asleep on the stairs though! Rest assured ladies, I shall be milking this one for all its worth!

Sorry things aren't moving TA. I'm with you Annobal, don't want anything to happen before the end of the week. Much as I want this baby out, before 41 weeks is just too inconvenient! So another 4 and a half weeks for me please.

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 10:00

LOL Foxy, did you get a photograph? Better for the future bribes if you hace evidence. sorry you had a bad night though...you have my complete and utter sympathy.

Nothing doing here either, except mild pains of the sort I've been having for ages, bit of a snotty discharge (again, had this before) and bad mood due to sleep deprviation (yet another sleepless night for me). LO is remarkably quiet though, considering she's been twitching and kicking like mad for a few days.

Feeling really teary and emotional today as well, but I think that's the sleep deprivation catching up!

Off to do final sweep at getting this house in some sort of order before Tuesday....I now have no dirty clothes in the house, and very nearly no ironing left to do (shines halo and wanders off whistling happily)

DH wants me to snooze as much as possible between now and Tuesday so I can be completely rested prior to bub arriving...what a sweetie

Morning! What an exciting evening I missed last night!!
Trendaverter, I just rushed out to read check my phone - Dont forget to text me if any news!!
Am looking to buy some RL tablets poss today as now 36+ and on course for a natural birth (no CS).
R any of u still massaging down below? I havent started that yet and not sure if its worth it?

hollyandalice · 03/06/2007 10:04

Well I slept well...NOT!! Sofa cushions on dd's floor is not a place for a grumpy, tired, pg woman to sleep! Dd woke at 5 and had to come down and lie with me, there wasn't really room, so I ended up actually sleeping on the floor! Now I have backache !

Any more twinges anyone?

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 03/06/2007 10:05

Morning JBM.....I never bothered with perineal massage, but there are one or two who did. Altough I'm booked in for a section, I'm still taking the RLT, apparently it helps with shrinking things back to normal as well....so every little helps!

There might have been babies in the night....no news from BrownSuga or DomesticGrumpess.....
