Good luck tomorrow AliceRR!

bubblybrit · 09/08/2018 20:40

Welcome @DeliberatelyGinger! Sounds as if you had a tough time ttc so really happy that you now have your BFP! It’s so exciting seeing baby at each scan that I do think it becomes a little addictive 😂 xx

Baby160P · 09/08/2018 20:54

@Alicejj8x yayyyy! How exciting ❤️

@DeliberatelyGinger welcome and congratulations xx

emalady · 09/08/2018 21:00

@bubblybrit thanks, it's really sad seeing the one that's left looking for her brother. Hopefully she will be ok. Was everything OK if they called you with results.

Have people got much planned this weekend? I'm going to a hen party, really glad I've had my scan. Still pretty nauseous so not sure about the dance class.

bubblybrit · 09/08/2018 21:31

@emalady. Ah that is awful. Lots of cuddles needed for your remaining cat. Yes my results were fine thank you. Supposedly the clinic like to call you with the results before they forward them via email. I wish that they had explained that in advance as I also feared the worst when I received the call.

Nothing much planned this weekend which I’m secretly pleased about!

Hope you enjoy the hen party 😀 x

And Haley013 we're due date buddies!

FrowningFlamingo · 10/08/2018 06:41

Did you find out the sex @bubblybrit? Sorry if you said and I missed it, I can't always keep up with the thread!
@MrsY87 if you PM me the email address you use for your Facebook account I can add you to the group.

MrsY87 · 10/08/2018 07:42

Thanks @FrowningFlamingo I've just pm'd you!

Good luck today @AliceRR

Welcome @DeliberatelyGinger sounds like you have had a long journey to get your BFP, congratulations!

@Lulabell1 the first number 2 was horrendous! I was so constipated/scared of going it took me 7 days plus a lot of lactalose & fybrogel 🙈

@hayley013 I think perennial massage in the weeks before birth is supposed to be good in helping to prevent tearing/need for an episiotomy and therefore avoid stitches but obviously there are no guarantees!

Alicejj8x · 10/08/2018 08:20

@AliceRR
Good luck today 😘❤️

hayley013 · 10/08/2018 08:22

Thanks @MrsY87 I'll have a look into that.

@mummakat84 wow there's a few of us due 15th! How lovely! I didn't follow a group like this with DD so it's really nice to have ladies to relate to at the same stage xx

Yakadee · 10/08/2018 08:46

I did perennial massage - unfortunately it didn't work for me but it's certainly worth a shot x

Baby160P · 10/08/2018 09:09

Jeans are feeling a little tight today.

Anyone feel bad that you're squishing your baby when your wear fitted clothing?

Alicejj8x · 10/08/2018 09:11

@Baby160P
Yes I was almost going to post the same thing yday!!

Baby160P · 10/08/2018 09:19

@Alicejj8x I'm glad. I can't wait for Tuesday then we will buy maternity clothing.

Damn being superstitious with everything 😂

DragonFlew · 10/08/2018 09:23

@Baby160P yes! I only have one pair of jeans that will actually do up and when I'm at home I change into joggers!
I've dug out some leggings for today! Comfort over style haha!

Since2016 · 10/08/2018 09:25

First day in full maternity gear for (another!) hosp appt (I might as well move in). And I’m sooo comfy. Embracing it now. Until I get to proper whale stage and then I’ll start complaining again.

Anyone else swollen already? My legs and ankles were awful yesterday already - earlier than last time 😩

Baby160P · 10/08/2018 09:27

@AliceRR good luck today. I'm jealous. Wish our was today!! I have a hen do tomorrow I'm going to have to get out of 😢

Wrigglet · 10/08/2018 09:29

Hi.
So pleased to find fellow Feb ‘19 ladies. I’m due on the 14th. Suffering horribly with almost constant nausea and have been since about 8 weeks (now 13 +1) I’ve tried peppermints, ginger biscuits and nothing seems to work. Any tips? Finding it very hard to function and have a full time job. #feelingdesperate

twiglet · 10/08/2018 09:46

Hi wrigglet I find if I sit and slowly eat corn cakes then it keeps my nausea at bay,that and cold watermelon.
Ginger and peppermint didn't work for me either.
I also can't eat anything until I've had a coop iced skinny latte don't ask why as I have no idea but it's only that one which works!

Wrigglet · 10/08/2018 10:20

@twiglet. Thank you for your advice. I'll try the water melon, particularly as I'm worrying I'm not getting enough fluid. Drinking makes me feel really sick too. It went away early this week and then came back Wednesday morning. I really thought it would on its way out now. Praying i'm not one of the unlucky ones who have it all the way through. I'm not sure how I'd cope! Can you live on watermelon? lol

Alicejj8x · 10/08/2018 10:39

@Baby160P
Yes Tuesday your be on a mission to buy any maternity clothes you see lol
I will be doing this on Monday after the scan looool.

As soon as I'm home it's Pjs all the way lol

Lookingforadvice123 · 10/08/2018 10:41

Wrigglet you have my sympathy, my sickness and nausea has been horrendous this time round. Not hyperemesis levels but for "normal" sickness, really bad! Started at 5 weeks and I'm still not right now at 11+5, although it's better than it was.

What I've found has helped me is:
Full sugar coke (would never normally drink this)
Lemon squash/weak summer fruits squash
Fruit, nice cold fresh fruit salads
Stay hydrated, so plenty of any drink you can stomach if you can't drink plain water

Don't eat anything you have aversions to as I find it makes you feel worse. My diet has been horrendous and mainly consisted of sandwiches/toast and crisps, but I can't face much else.

Lookingforadvice123 · 10/08/2018 10:41

And I swear ginger is a myth! Don't know one person it's actually helped.

bubblybrit · 10/08/2018 10:53

@FrowningFlamingo. Yes. We are having a little girl! Very exciting 😀 how’s things with you?
