hi all. been away for a few hours or so.
yes. as you see midwife was serious! and can you tell how totally utterly desperate i am to get this baby out soon!?!

minipop - frustrating isnt it when they say you are still posterior etc...

hi scoot - dont worry about sweep. just remember to relax and its a lot better. hope the chickenpox thing doesnt become an issue..

tyg - daft to tell dh! i havent warned mine just in case i change my mind and go for the other method of hormone "injection" but one way of the other im getting those hormones into me tonight!!
i was thinking i might go into labour friday night...after 2nd sweep on friday and its full moon and also 1st june....
good news for you that you getting all these sweeps...and cervix moved fwd a bit. I reckon you are next!!!

ITS - in your shoes too re distraction techniques. just been at sisters for a few hours chatting and playing with nephew.
fajitas.....having those tonight too with extra chilli...bored of curry!

juliewoolie · 30/05/2007 19:10

re the bikini wearing what about those lillipadz things that are like silicone dont know if they work but they sell them at blooming marvellous so you could look them up.

Obviously still here no movement whatsoever, even all the jumping on my bloke has done nada.

Have a good eve all good luck with the BJ couldnt even contemplate that at the mo.

MKG · 30/05/2007 19:39

He everyone!! I'm sad everyone is so uncomfortable, but don't worry it won't last forever. I can't believe what a good boy Cruz is, he sleeps all the time, nurses well (even though I don't like doing it). I will admit that I want another one already.

cinnamontam · 30/05/2007 20:08

Gorgeous ladies!!!!!!

I haven't read a thing just jumped on to say I'm back and sorry I have been AWOL for a week. My bloody laptop died and then we've had endless wireless issues so haven't been able to get online for ages. Been driving me MENTAl!!!!! Have stolen DH's laptop and finally got online.

We are doing great. Little Matilda was born last Thursday night at 9.10pm by CS. It was the most amazing non-traumatic experience of my life and I will post in more detail in my birth announcement. Just wanted to get straight to this thread and say hi. Missed you all lots and will now spend the next few hours reading up to see how everyone is doing and who is still bumpy

p.s I am so in love with this little sweet thing

Juicylucytoo · 30/05/2007 20:25

Full moon. Home birth at the weekend sounds like a plan to me. It's due to be sunny weather at last, so of course we'll be stuck inside giving birth for 2 days!! It will then promptly piss it down on Monday

But really don't care as long as the babies start coming out. How you fixed for a couple of tandem homebirths over the w/e TYG??

BJ's - are you serious?? I'm not sure I'm that desperate yet...but ask me again Friday.

twelveyeargap · 30/05/2007 20:31

Tandem homebirth - woo hoo! Told DH we'd have a baby by the weekend. I'm feeling confident today. The midwife visit has done me the world of good.

Quite happy to do pre-labour all day tomorrow and the real thing on Friday.

OP posts:
Juicylucytoo · 30/05/2007 20:39

Pre-labour - does that invove lying on the couch being fed grapes by DH?

Am going for a long walk tomorrow to give Pod the hint. Might even manage sex in the afternoon (no BJ methinks), and DH was talking about a curry on Friday if nothing is happening by then. This should bode well for labour by Saturday, what do you think?

twelveyeargap · 30/05/2007 20:46

It does bode well indeed.

RIGHT, we are ALL going to have a baby by Monday. 2 a day from tomorrow. I think that's fair.

In fact, Jonah must be having or have had her baby, so that's one down already.

Evening all..
Inspired idea re mentioning the pox to the hosp TYG..would be fantabulous if I got a private room out of it!!Thanks for the links too..

Great news re your sweep..(s) as well..

Everyone sounds a bit more chipper today which is good I think..

Am trying not to think about the sweep..if I dont think about it, it cant hurt right?
Am getting a few niggly back pains this eve anyway so am hoping I wont need it.(I realise this is a forlorn hope in all likelihood but am clutching at straws!)

Jonah must surely be having the baby..so she will kick us off, then we will have one a day till they are all out..(or we will all spookily go into labour on the full moon within an hour of each other and they will do a feature on us on This Morning, which will also include a full makeover for each of us with haircuts by Charles Worthington...or something like that...I think we deserve it anyway..have always wanted to meet Phil n Fern!)

Well night all..off to watch Big Brother..said I wouldnt, know I will..Will leave you all to your various baby inducing techniques and heres hoping they work..

toomanyprojects · 30/05/2007 23:21

just wanted to pop in and wish everyone luck, be it induced or otherwise!

I ended up with three inductions - only the last one was really uncomfortable but I was nowhere near ready - that's the flip side of Victoria growing so big and being therefore being an induced April baby instead of 4th May one. Plus 9lb 14oz was never going to be a complete breeze..

The other two were both overdue and induced plus 13 and plus 9 days so I do feel for you all. If you haven't been induced before, take loads of magazines - with the pessaries they waited 6 hours with me before deciding nothing was happening..really annoying when you know that you're going to need maximum Syntocinon to get anywhere.

Hopefully the full moon will do its job - saw an American programme about it recently.

Look forward to seeing your announcements.

twelveyeargap · 31/05/2007 02:32

have a farkin awful tummy bug or am in labour.

OP posts:
duchesse · 31/05/2007 02:34

Well, good luck if the latter and commiserations if not.

cameroonmama · 31/05/2007 07:46

TYG - are you still here? Hope it isn't an upset tummy! That moon must be starting its magic, good luck ladies

twelveyeargap · 31/05/2007 08:03

Hello Ladies...

Mr. twelveyeargap here...

TYG will be posting later but the update is that baby Aoife was born at 6.12am this morning after a short but intense 5 hour labour.

Aoife is well and feeding and a healthy 9 pounds 5 oz.

TYG was a brave girl and had no drugs and thankfully no stitches!

Thanks to all for supporting the long overdue TYG you lovely ladies you...

Mr. TYG.

Gingerbear · 31/05/2007 08:15

Oh, congratulations to you all! Tell TYG to get some rest - she deserves it!

Lupins71 · 31/05/2007 08:25

Congrats Mr & Mrs TYG, well done on the arrival of your little bundle

InTheseShoes · 31/05/2007 09:09

Just heard about Jonah - she has had her baby! Everything is fine, I'll let her give you the details, I don't know much more than that, but I do know the gender

It's all go on this thread now!

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Jonah!!!

InTheseShoes · 31/05/2007 09:14

TYG!!! Congratulations also!

Wow, what a brilliant thing to happen, and really quite quickly, I love, love, love
Aoife's name! You're an inspiration to us all with your positivity and calm (lol at your 2am "it's either a stomach upset or labour!" post!)

Looks like there aren't going to be too many May to June babies. I'm certain that I will be tomorrow for the section now, there is no sign whatsoever of babyShoes making any effort to come out, but I'm completely reconciled to that now.

I have a good feeling about today, I must keep checking in to see if there are any other last gasp May arrivals!

Hurray!

aprilmeadow · 31/05/2007 09:33

Congratulations to TYG and Jonah.

Cant wait to hear both the stories! And well done for having May babies

Am particularly impressed with 5 hour labour. Don't think I'll be that lucky, but will just be happy to get my home birth.
