Congrats on scan alkar - had mine friday - it's amazing to see the heart beat isn't it? Seems even more real now.

gingermumi · 18/06/2007 12:44

Don't be too down hearted jo - you might just be less pregnant than you thought. Also, I had to have an internal scan as it was hard to see anything as I have a fibroid - could it be same for you?

Egg · 18/06/2007 12:48

Oh Jo, I really hope ginger is right and you are just a week or two less than you thought. I had an early scan at what i thought was 8 weeks last time and I was actually only just over 6 (veeeery late ovulation in long cycle).

Jo9977 · 18/06/2007 12:48

This was an internal scan, done at the reproductive centre where we've been having treatment. They just told me to 'hang in there' though they didn't want to get our hopes up - they did a good job on that front!

DearBeatrice · 18/06/2007 13:02

hi all

welcome to the newbies

ginger - was pleased to hear that the sea bands work for you.. dont' think they have for me

had a long weekend from fri onwards of being in the bathroom, not sleeping and not keeping anything down - dry retching after that.. yuck.. miraculously felt okay enough to get up for work but i've been sick three times today

gingermumi · 18/06/2007 13:27

Hang on in there jo. Can't be easy but, if like egg was, you're two weeks adrift you'd only be 5 weeks. Fingers crossed for you.

Dearb - soz you're so sick, i feel better but not sick-free and was dry-retching myself today (lovely isn't it?!), i think i will try to wear the seabands 24/7 rather than taking them off later in the day - didn't wear them overnight and wondered if that's why i was not so good this morning. Put them on straight after the retching episode and felt more reasonable after about half hour or so. Could you try wearing them all the time ? (if you're not all ready!). Everything seems trial and error to me - have forgotten so much!

beansprout · 18/06/2007 15:23

Jo - am keeping everything crossed for you. A week must seem like a very long time at the moment. Look after yourself.

Alkar - glad it went well for you.

DB - you poor thing, you really have scooped the "worst sickness of the thread" award. Hope you find something that can ease it a bit for you

Horrible day here. Bloody boiler, that has already cost us £500 in the last month is set to cost us more. Seems we have had some bad advice too. I have to take a day off next week so someone can come round and rip up floorboards. Am not sleeping too well again (I wonder why ) which is not helping my mood, which, in a word, is "anxious".

Egg · 18/06/2007 15:55

Beany, not sleeping well either. It is driving me mad. I lie awake at night worrying about "nemo", worrying about moving house (we have not even started doing anything about it yet), worrying about DS, worrying about not being able to sleep.... Agghh.

Sorry to hear about boiler. We had a lot of probs with our old one. Our new one is only a couple of years old and so far seems to be behaving.

beansprout · 18/06/2007 16:00

Egg - that's the one! You name it, I'll worry about it!! Am so, sooo tired though. It's really not a good look!

Freddie327 · 18/06/2007 16:04

hello Mums2B. I'm a complete newbie to MN but I've had a very interesting few hours browsing threads - that's how I found this one....

I'm 6+1 today after finding out I was PG 2 wks ago and according to Doc am due 13th Feb.

First one and really, really looking fwd to it - only TTC 4 mths but had to wait a yr from deciding to try to PG as we got married in Feb just gone (hence 3/2/7 at end of name).

Symptoms have gone from belly cramps (not bad), to sore nips (subsiding thank goodness) and now the most ridiculous tiredness - good job I work from home a lot - no-one will guess if I keep hiding away!!!

Good luck to all other Feb M2B!
x

Jo9977 · 18/06/2007 16:05

Thanks guys for all your support.

Sorry to hear all the sickness stuff...that's really pants! Oh, and the boiler too beansprout - you don't need it on top of everything else!

Welcome to all the newcomers as well

Hope to have some better news soon - don't know if it's psychosymatic but I don't feel pregnant anymore...but I'm trying not to think about that.

x

Welcome Freddie327! Am just going to repaste the list as Teejay is back on (think it has been copied and pasted from earlier list), and don't want her to keep seeing her name on there as imagine it will be a bit upsetting.

rozzyraspberry · 18/06/2007 17:50

Hi everyone - it's been a bit of a mixed day today with Teejays news and Jo's worries, but with good news of some new ladies joining us.

So congratulations to those of you who have just joined us.

I still don't feel too bad yet. It's a bit erratic though! Some days I feel really sick and not too tired. Then the next day I won't feel too sick but am totally exhausted! It's really strange but am trying not to let it worry me. I have my GP appointment on Weds so hopefully it won't be too long until I get my scan date.

A bit of a strange question now. I know when you're ovulating your CM is like stretchy egg whites - mine is like that today which is a bit strange. I'm 6 +2 now so I guess if I wasn't pregnant I would be ovulating around now. Do you think this is anything to be worried about? I did my last pregnancy test last Wednesday and the line was very dark but it's just a bit weird that's all! I think perhaps I got far too obsessed with TTC this time and know far too much about CM etc!!

Egg · 18/06/2007 17:56

Without going into too much detail about CM, mine is the same and has been for a couple of weeks!!!!!! There seems to be more of it now .

rozzyraspberry · 18/06/2007 17:59

Thanks egg that's reassuring. Like I said I think I read far too much about stuff before TTC and am getting worried about every little thing!!!

miniandme · 18/06/2007 18:33

Im back ladies have been offline for a week o waiting on a new supply being connected and have been driven insane being cut off from the outside world.
I gave in today and went to mothercare to be fitted for bras, was measured a 42 E so invested in a couple for the time being.
Any one having cravings or fancies for anything in particular yet?? i have a real cheese thing going on which is quite strange as im not usually a big cheese lover, have also stopped sleeping and have become very restless at night, something i had when i was pg with dd but not the boys.........a sign maybe????

Anyway glad to be back !!

Egg · 18/06/2007 19:27

Hi mini! I noticed you were missing, but was trying to remember who had gone away and thought it might be you. Very of everyone's expanding busts...

So, I slept well when pg with DS, never had insomnia, does this mean I am having a girl this time???? I kind of want another boy, but will be happy and grateful just to get that far and could easily get used to a girl . Is anyone going to find out / did you find out last time? We did find out, I was very chuffed .

gingermumi · 18/06/2007 19:37

When i went to docs about the pox he suggested lavender oil in a bath for insomnia, not totally convinced on that!Am sure it is very nice and relaxing but will not have same effect as half a bottle of wine and a sleeping pill! If anyone does come up with anything that might help would love to know, am sick of being awake most of night.

Glad I'n not the only one to succumb to maternity bras! I even bought a sleep one but am not really finding it greatly different (in discomfort terms) than no bra at all.

Egg · 18/06/2007 19:42

Maybe I will try some of that Johnson's Baby Bedtime Bath stuff... trouble is I normally have my bath in the mornings. Maybe I need to change my habits. I always used to go to bed, read a few pages and pass out. Now I read a few chapters and am still wide awake. Plus I seem to wake early in the morning and seem unable to get back to sleep. Now the cold has nearly gone and I am feeling better I suppose I should try cutting out the lunchtime nap (mine not DS) and see if it helps. But I really need it.

So who is on hols? Didnt someone go to Centerparcs?

Lexie100 · 18/06/2007 19:46

Evening all. Can i join?

Got my BFP this week after 7 months of TTC so due 24 Feb. Have DD 20 months and due to complications with her birth will have to have another c section so probably due a week earlier. Will know more when i pluck up the courage to see the DR. Will do one more P test tomorrow and make an appt for Friday. Am now 4+1.

Egg · 18/06/2007 19:48

Hi Lexie! Congrats on your BFP. It is so nice to see new ladies joining all the time. Thinking of the excitement as the little line shows up on the test .

Worked it out, it is Loony who is away at Centerparcs. So many ladies, I can't keep up.
