It definately wasn't me, as I'd got the shopping out of the boot after I'd got DS in the house.....now if the boot had been open

Does he even have a penis????

I agree about the Evil Jetix and limiting it. Definately. Unfortunately they get up before us (I won't be getting up at 6.30 if I can help it) and put it on. It goes off until they have eaten, washed and dressed. Only then can they have some tv (and I managed to make it teletubbies the other day - yea!).

foxybrown · 23/05/2007 22:16

LOL! DP home, so I'm off.

N'nite Love xx

DaisysGotABigBump · 23/05/2007 22:16

I'm trying to delay going to bed...I'll get about 3 or 4 hours sleep and then be awake the rest of the night, so trying to minimise the wee small hours wakefulness. I've been up since 3:30 this morning, so not doing too badly I don't think, although the letters on the keyboard are becoming harder and harder to tell apart

OP posts:
foxybrown · 23/05/2007 22:17

Hope you get some sleep!

DaisysGotABigBump · 23/05/2007 22:18

Oh, well, I'll just talk to myself, sit here with my knitting, bounce on my ball....maybe sing a song...

anyone????

We've deliberately not shown DS how to work the TV/video/cable box controls and he hasn't figured it out for himself yet . It stays on CBBC so that's all he can watch if he gets up by himself.

right...off to toss and turn for a few hours.

Poor ella won't even be able to turn CBeebies on till she learns to use a mouse as we haven't got a telly. She's worked out the space bar unpauses though - and moving the mouse turns the screensaver off...won't be too long. Well desperate housewives was a bit soppy for me - they're all getting married. Off to bed with a book. Night all!

annobal · 24/05/2007 06:41

AAAARRRRRSSSSSEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

5.30 every blardy morning! He goes straight back to sleep and I'm left drumming my fingers Now I know it is not, say, 2.30 or 3.30, but still......

annobal · 24/05/2007 06:41

Ah well, I guess it is a nice quiet house - I may go and have a bath and wash my hair before anyone else stirs...

trendaverter · 24/05/2007 08:24

Morning all

Annobel I lived in Adelaide for 4 years! dh is from toowoomba (redneck territory)

Ah how I miss mount thebarton lol

How exciting, the ladies in labour!

I still feel like shite. Tonsilitis SUCKS.

DaisysGotABigBump · 24/05/2007 08:31

TA......rest up, lots of fluids and remember....ice-cream always helps to soothe

OP posts:
trendaverter · 24/05/2007 08:33

dh offered to take the day off to look after me, bless.

I swear if I take any more antibiotics/painkillers though the bump is going to be destined to be the next Pete Doherty when it comes out.

I suppose, on the bright side, I would rather be ill now than say in 2 weeks!!

annobal · 24/05/2007 08:56

TA - whereabouts in Adelaide did you live? We've bought a house in Beaumont and are planning to go back next year. Hope you are feeling better soon ! Me, I miss the Maid and Magpie, and the Havelock - don't think they will still be what they were 15 years ago...

trendaverter · 24/05/2007 09:02

Havelock was a bit yuppie when I was there last (about 5 years ago), but still a good time had by all!

A few too many drug exchanges in the loos though for my liking - I'm no prude but not my scene. I loved the Earl of Leicester in Fullarton!

I lived all over - Prospect, Glen Osmond, Balhannah, Strathalbyn, Tea Tree Gully... haven't been back to SA in a while but the prices of houses have rocketed :-(

bumperlicious · 24/05/2007 09:52

Morning everyone, having to resort to making notes in a new window to keep up!

I'm also in the floaters but mine are usually bright orange. My BP's pretty low so don't know what it is?

Foxy, hope you are feeling a bit better about everything. You can't flake out on us! If you can't do us first-timers are f*cked! You'll be fab. I think you've been over doing it a bit, although must be hard not to with 3 under 5!

TA just wanted to say that for most of this pg I felt pretty ambivalent about having a baby. Not so bad now I've left work, actually a little bit excited, but even though this pg was planned I think I went into a it of shock!

H%A you must have missed my post about the oral prostaglandins...I asked the midwife in my antenatal class if they were more effective delivered orally and she said that she thinks that's a myth! DH say he is going to do some research (yes, that he'll research! But when I am trying to decide on a sling, or monitor etc. he is nowhere to be found!).

Got health visitor coming for an intro today. Better make flat look child friendly, including hiding the bottle of wine a friend and I drunk last night . Feeling really guilty now. Don't drink v often at all and if I do only 1 glass, but last night had two large glasses as just felt like I really needed it, and hoped it might knock me out so I could get some sleep. But now feel terrible, am a bad mother and worrying about the damage I may have done.

V exciting about natty btw!

trendaverter · 24/05/2007 10:02

Hello!

Yes I do understand - I chose to come off the pill, it was a joint decision, wanted the baby - but when I found out I actually was pg it spun me out a bit and I was ambivalent for a long time. A friend asked me if I even wanted to keep it!
How do you explain...yes I want to keep it, but no I'm not excited? Felt quite alone for a long time, wasn't aware that forums like these were available, and other forums etc I went to made me feel terrible and guilty for feeling that way (as did MW and old GP when I tried to talk to them). Of course having an older sis who can't get PG made it very difficult for me to confide in anyone. Was a tough time.

I am ok now though - quite pleased but apprehensive. I feel like I have a healthy attitude now.

DaisysGotABigBump · 24/05/2007 10:05

LOL bumper...I do that too or else I can't remember who said what.

How was your drive...not too painful I hope.

Apparently if your DH eats the pineapple before administering, whether orally ir topically, it has some sort of multiplying effect on the number/quality of prodstaglandins.....and I have it on good authority from a friend that it was on Women's Hour...so it must be true!

Went to bed at 11 last night and slept till 6:15 with only two loo breaks....and still feel like shit this morning, inspite of Radio 4 saying that you only need to catch up 30% of your usual sleep to get back on track.

Right, better get the house in order...still haven't unpacked all the shopping from yersterday and I have 2 days washing up in the kitchen

OP posts:
trendaverter · 24/05/2007 10:07

Oh I just read that last bit

Damage you may have done? Don't worry I am sure it will be fine, I think people can worry too much and the media can sensationalise what is unacceptable and acceptable - 2 glasses of wine is fine, no doubt much deserved, and I wouldn't worry!

In fact my MW suggested having a couple of glasses to relax with when you feel labour coming on!
