Congratulations Cherry.. fab news

balalalala · 15/05/2018 20:19

@cherry that's fantastic news!

I'm currently on holiday and having a lovely time playing with my dd. Making me picture next summer in the sun with two!! 12wk scan is a week on Thursday when I'll be 12+3 - can't wait!

CherryO88 · 15/05/2018 20:59

Thanks ladies!

Attie17 · 15/05/2018 21:01

I’ve had a craving for Rice Krispies - weird since I haven’t eaten cereal since I was a teenager!

I have my booking app on Friday. Can anyone tell me what happens at it? Is it just health-related questions? Or do they do anything physical? My letter says I need to bring a sample of urine with me - is that normal?!

BunBunMum · 15/05/2018 21:04

Hi @Attie17 I had my booking appointment today. Basically loads of questions about you and your partners medical history etc. They check the urine at every midwife appointment and they checked my blood pressure and took bloods. Nothing else physical though. Took about an hour (there were a lot of questions!)

Cakelaur · 15/05/2018 21:14

Mine is tomatoes!!! Cold cherry tomatoes!! I eat a pack of them each day!!! And pasta. Yesterday was with pesto, today was with mushrooms and bacon. But struggling with much else. Sometimes apples and plums.

Cakelaur · 15/05/2018 21:15

Congrats @CherryO88 what wonderful news!!!

Attie17 · 15/05/2018 21:23

Thanks @BunBunMum my work is going to love me turning up so late! Did you take your partner? Mine is working away this week. Guess I will have to quiz him on his medical history - anything surprising in there?!

Stephisaur · 15/05/2018 21:33

@CherryO88 what wonderful news

Happy32 · 16/05/2018 06:02

How's all the December ladies feeling?

Cakelaur · 16/05/2018 07:56

My nipples are on 🔥 today!! 9+2!! Boobs have been tender but I winced in the shower when the water touched them!!! Plus the add day random sickness is just awesome!! 🙈

SteveHolt · 16/05/2018 08:31

Hi guys, I would like to join this thread. Judging by an early scan, I should be 10 weeks today. Had a miscarriage in my first pregnancy, so worried about everything, including worrying about worrying too much!

Had my booking appointment last week, but don't have my dating scan until 13 wks, which seems so long to wait again!

December2018 · 16/05/2018 08:57

I rad really bad sickness yesterday... if I go longer than15 mins without food it kicks off big time lol
Yeah and my boobies hurt soooo bad wakes me up at night if I roll on them (extremely wiggly at night) but apart from that and falling asleep at 7 everything is fine.. I'm 10 weeks tomorrow and then 2 weeks after that I've got my 12 week scan, very nervous! 😁😊

Paranormalbouquet · 16/05/2018 09:10

My nausea has completely disappeared again. Sigh, it’s all very anxiety inducing!! Have a planning appointment with pre term team today, hopefully they’ll scan. If I’m miscarrying again I just want to know.

emwithme · 16/05/2018 12:24

10+6 today. So so sick. Saturday morning I wasn't (so had the panics it all had Gone Wrong) and since then have been really pukey. Docs have given me a 5 day course of metoclopramide which isn't doing much then I'm back onto cyclizine. Was off work Monday/yesterday and went in this morning but only lasted 90 minutes (during which time I was sick three times). I really hope this starts settling down soon...I'm not sure how much more of this I can handle!

Happy32 · 16/05/2018 15:12

Bless you all for the sickness and sore boobs. I have nada!!! I had some bleeding before I went for private scan last week but baby appears well! However I will say there is a lot of discharge sorry for the tmi but its not pleasant. Was hoping not to have use liners for another 7 months 🤔🤔🤔😂😂😂

Paranormalbouquet · 16/05/2018 15:15

Well scan shows a baby is still there, with a heartbeat. Haematoma still there. And my cervix is very very short and thin. Decisions to be made on exactly the type of stitch to go for now.

Happy32 · 16/05/2018 15:21

That's great news @paranormalbouqet. Baby is obviously quite happy where it is! So happy and relieved to hear your news. It's so lovely to actually see them!

December2018 · 16/05/2018 15:22

Awww paranormal I'm made up baby is all well you must be so relieved! X

Paranormalbouquet · 16/05/2018 16:01

Well now I have to decide who’s advice to take re stitch!

Maggi85 · 16/05/2018 16:55

Had a scan today saw our little bean with a heartbeat measuring 8+5 - very relieved. Next scan at 12+2 happy to get through each stage at the moment and hope for the best.. x

Happy32 · 16/05/2018 17:13

Feels like such a long wait @maggi85 but I'm sure it will fly in!

applesauce1 · 16/05/2018 17:15

@Paranormalbouquet

I was told at my booking appointment that I might need a stitch as I had shitty cells on a smear (CIN3) and needed the LLETZ treatment (hot metal loop to veg peel the shit cells away). This might have compromised the integrity of my cervix, and therefore might need a stitch to hold the baby in. It means I'll need an extra scan to check on my cervix at around 16 weeks and they'll decide then. I'm really crossing my fingers that I won't need it, but am anticipating the worst... Really hate having people poking painful things into my vagina, but I suppose I'll have a lot of that coming up.

Paranormalbouquet · 16/05/2018 17:47

@applesauce1 I’m very used to people poking around at this point. My cervix is very very short and was badly damaged during c-section before. I will definitely require a stitch but there’s no consensus on what type I should have as the damage is high up.

After a LLETZ I believe it’s usually more straightforward though. I would ask for a cervical scan at 12 weeks also because stitches places earlier are more effective.
