TYG,

It's awesome that you all get along so well. It's good for your dd to see that her parents are united even though they aren't married. She's lucky to have an example of how healthy adults handle relationships.

I once dated a guy who's parents were divorced but they lived down the street from each other, talked on the phone, got together as a whole family, and even went out to dinner on their anniversary even though she was remarried.

juliewoolie · 18/05/2007 09:15

hellooooooooo is anyone there?

cinnamontam · 18/05/2007 09:20

Hey Julie - how you going?

cinnamontam · 18/05/2007 09:20

Tis a bit quiet in here this morning

juliewoolie · 18/05/2007 09:24

thought everyone but me was off having babies

cinnamontam · 18/05/2007 09:27

Maybe they are still lounging in bed with a cup of tea and the midwifes biscuit jar

What you got planned for today?

Lwatkins · 18/05/2007 09:28

Morning All

Where is everyone, wakey wakey rise and shine.......

Well, I'm going to start of this morning by having a wee rant. Change from the usual eh? I'll get this of my chest then I promise I'll be nice and happy for the rest of the day. So the last remaining piece of written work I have to do for uni is due in on the 24th May which is my due date. This isn't a problem, I'll just crack on with it and get it sent in recorded delivery in the next couple of days. Oh no no. Because some feckin bright spark has sneakily gone and changed the due date for it online to the 17th May. As in YESTERDAY! I found this out at 11:30PM last night, and only because I happened to go onto the uwe website. Que me and my mum being up until some ungodly hour of the morning attempting to get the essay written. I hadn't even looked at it so had no idea really what to do, then there's the referencing etc. GAH!

We finally called it a night at 5am? Can't remember - time doesn't seem to exist at the minute! Essay no where near finished. Text a load of the girls of my course to see if they had handed it in yesterday and none of them have, they are all still under the impression that it's due for the 24th and that's when they are handing it in. Good enough for me, so I'm sticking with the 24th and am prepared for a MAJOR bloody fight with the tutors if they don't accept it.

I mean I'm sorry but WHO DOES THAT? Put a freakin deadline forward by a whole week and fail to tell anyone about it! I don't know what the hell's going on, past caring. Have made a good start on the essay so will hopefully get it finished by tonight with a little help from mum and get it in the farkin post tommorrow. Bas*ards! Remind me why I've just paid these people £3,000 in tuition fees? So I can't go into labour tonight becasue I have to get the essay written.

And breathe.........

Lwatkins · 18/05/2007 09:31

Waves excitedly to cinnamontam and Julie

juliewoolie · 18/05/2007 09:32

Not much on today.

My DP has just jinxed the baby ever coming out, he couldnt be arsed to go into work today so has sent a mail saying we think I am in labour so is working from home, cheeky begger!

cinnamontam · 18/05/2007 09:32

LW - from the way your uni has behaved on a number of occasions I'm wondering if they even realise they are an institution of learning!!! What a bunch of complete tossers. Now go to bed, rest the brain and do a few rewrites over the next couple of days and then hand it in. You'll be just fine...no thanks to them though

cinnamontam · 18/05/2007 09:35

Haaaaaaaaaaaa - that is classic of him. I would definitely feel jinxed. Well if he's going to be at home the least he can do is your every bidding.
I think his penance should be that he now becomes your man servant for the day

juliewoolie · 18/05/2007 09:36

Morning LW dont worry about UNI god they are annoying try and get some sleep and finish your essay later.

How are all your aches and pains have they stopped or are you still suffering?

Tam you off out with your gran today must be lovely to have her here

cinnamontam · 18/05/2007 09:36

We could come up with a list of stuff he has to do for you

cinnamontam · 18/05/2007 09:38

She is coming over for dinner this afternoon so will get to see our house and cats for the first time. So need to do a bit of tidying and cleaning. I should really do an Ikea run as well but I'm just not sure if I have the energy...my DH is home today as well so might just think up a list our 'men servants' can work to for the day

Pebblemum · 18/05/2007 09:39

Im here, it is unusually quiet isnt it? Maybe everyone is off having babies.

If LG&T's past labours are anything to go by then I expect she has been holding her baby since yesterday teatime lol. Cant wait to hear news.

Im sat here bouncing on my ball trying to encourage baby to come out. Not sure it will do anything but ive been feeling very achey downbelow and if i open my legs to crouch down (not a pretty sight)it feels like the baby is about to pop out lol so anything is worth a go, have also noticed my bump keeps going hard and getting the odd pain. Im getting so fed up im willing to try anything now.

Lwatkins · 18/05/2007 09:41

Julie sorry but lol at your dp! Fancy that - using you and your unborn as an excuse to skive. That's what kids are there for I suppose

Cinn - oh no they are an institution. Whether they are a learning institution remains to be seen and is a highly debatable subject with me! I view them more as an institution of total wan*ers and drips who don't know their arseholes from their elbows.

juliewoolie · 18/05/2007 09:42

mm i could defo think of a few things like waiting on me hand and foot bringing me chocolate and he can put his hands down the toilet to clean today.

I met my mum for lunch yesterday and then headed into the west end as I was feeling all energised - big mistake spent all of last night going ouch every time I moved. So you are mega brave to think about going to ikea.

juliewoolie · 18/05/2007 09:44

crikey yes I had forgotton about lg&t hope she has her LO.

How many of us still to go?

cinnamontam · 18/05/2007 09:45

Well i've just been reading an induction thread and there was alot of good press for the old nipple stimulation so i think we should get our blokes onto it

LW - they are complete arses. I'm am often gobsmacked at the treatment you have received from them

Lwatkins · 18/05/2007 09:46

Julie yes still very achey and the pains allowed me very little sleep when I actually did manage to finally crawl into bed earlier for a whole, oh hour!

Waves to pebble. I thought baby was trying to escape from me all night. It's the oddest type of pain. That one where they are pressing down really hard on your fanjita it feels like they are gonna pop out. Mines gonna come out singing 'I want to break free' I swear it.

cinnamontam · 18/05/2007 09:47

It's pretty hardcore stimulation though as in for 5 mins every hour. I'm not sure my nips can handle that kind of constant manipulation without some decent shagging afterwards

Pebblemum · 18/05/2007 09:47

Julie My dh has used this baby as an excuse a couple of times, mainly saying my sciatica is playing up and im having trouble moving around but then the other day he said id been having pains al day and so thought he should stay with me. He makes it sound as though hes such a loving guy but its all a ruse he just does it because he wants a night off lol. Hes also moaning that he wants his week off, his back is hurting him (ah bless him, he should try lugging a monster bump around for 9 months ). I bet i have this baby late and it will be bank holiday week and when the boys are on half term lol he wont get much rest then will he

Lwatkins · 18/05/2007 09:50

Right am of to find some food and curl up in bed with my dog for an hour, he's proving to be very good company bless him. Back later lovelies

Pebblemum · 18/05/2007 09:51

Cinn ive been trying every trick in the book to start me off including the nipple sim but nothing is working Thats prob why dh's back is hurting him, being jumped by a god knows how heavy pregant woman cant have done it much good lol

cinnamontam · 18/05/2007 09:56

Arghhh - how frustrating for you Pebble. Sounds like you and LG&T have almost worn out your men! You've tried really ripe fresh pineapple?

I'm grasping at straws here
