Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I missed the tumble drier fluff thing. But am guessing Ria keeps it in her jam jars under the kitchen sink?

derlor · 12/05/2007 22:39

hey i thought you were away to bed (wags finger and uses stern face!!)
not me personally Foxy, i was of course talking on behalf of my friend!!!!!!!

derlor · 12/05/2007 22:41

Ria's entire garage is full of tumble dryer fluff!!!!!!!!! at least i'm sure thats what she said

riabutterflew · 12/05/2007 22:42

Nope, a kids plastic bucket in the garage!
Have just started a jar of used batteries under the kitchen sink - to be recycled of course (but it's such a trek to the tip). I feel thismay be a bad idea and the start of all my old hoarding habits!

I have such a boring life. I am sorry for sharing it with you all.

foxybrown · 12/05/2007 22:44

No Ria, I am surely the most boring one as I have been here all night and am yet to tear myself away to my Good Housekeeping mag!

hollyandalice · 12/05/2007 22:45

I didn't realise you were supposed to recycle batteries! I am a bit obsessed with recycling!

derlor · 12/05/2007 22:45

Foxy we'd be concerned if you actually had gone to read your mag, instead you have stayed here right where you belong.

foxybrown · 12/05/2007 22:47
derlor · 12/05/2007 22:49

Ria you are NOT boring i LOVE your quirky wee ways - you make me PMSL you must be FAB in real life

hollyandalice · 12/05/2007 22:49

I don't think ria is boring!!

foxybrown · 12/05/2007 22:53

Now I've stayed up far too long and I'm hungry again. bugger.

riabutterflew · 12/05/2007 22:53

I don't mind if you do - it's mostly true after all. It comes from being lonely because DH loves his job so much and I have to find ways to amuse myself (perhaps I should think twice about electric toothbrushes!)

Am a bit that my odd habits are memorable. I will cheer myself up by telling myself you find it endearingly amusing in an eccentric kind of way. I plan to be an eccentric old lady with lots of cats and an embarrassment to my children.

I didn't know about batteries either, but there is a special place for them at the local tip so thought I might make an effort (but not too often, hence the jar). I recycle water filters too (but then if you don't have crap local water you won't use them) Brita have a freepost address to send them to. Under my sink is a fantastic place...

hollyandalice · 12/05/2007 22:54

Interesting thread ! I never even thought to do this ever, I just chuck them in a bag and in the bin!

hollyandalice · 12/05/2007 22:56

I'm hungry too foxy, I think prob coz my tummy is so empty. It needs refilling with toast and vegemite!

foxybrown · 12/05/2007 22:57

I recycle water filters - or at least I chuck them in the recycling and trust the council to do it.

I think you are extremely witty Ria, I love your humour.

I know what you mean about DP loving his job. I can go for days without speaking to other adults (I think I've had one conversation with a grown-up today). Which probably explains why I'm on here so much

derlor · 12/05/2007 22:57

oh i've ALWAYS done that thought everyone did!! - i make my DH do it too. (unless it's really squidgy then i just wrap it up) maybe i'm on the wrong thread after all!!!!!!!

foxybrown · 12/05/2007 22:58

I'll need to start shaking nappies tomorrow, I've only got 2 left.

derlor · 12/05/2007 22:58

oh i fancy toast and cheese with pickled onions on top mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

hollyandalice · 12/05/2007 22:58

I never talk to grown ups!

foxybrown · 12/05/2007 22:59

I frequently talk to grown-ups as I would a 4 yo

foxybrown · 12/05/2007 23:00

Garners pickled onions?

derlor · 12/05/2007 23:00

i don't reuse the nappies i just flush the poo away - our rubbish bins get emptied every 2nd week so imagine the stink during the summer if it was full of poo eeeeuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh

hollyandalice · 12/05/2007 23:00

Oh dear! I didn't know you were supposed to put poo from nappies down the loo! Why doesn't anyone ever tell you these things? I'd never even thought about it!

hollyandalice · 12/05/2007 23:01

Our bins go every week, so I spose it's not too bad!

derlor · 12/05/2007 23:01

who is Garner????? they will be MY pickled onions from MY cupboard!!!!!! (sainsburys most likely)
