Any ladies over here in the pregnancy boards from the ttc yammer board want to join Me?

I'm 4 weeks and just got my bfp yesterday and have my fx for a sticky bean x

Don't apologise for moaning, I have no idea how teachers cope generally let alone while pregnant.

Also how the fuck does he think you're going to stop books curling? I presume the kids manhandle these and cart them around? My school books were always battered as fuck. Can you ask him for strategies to improve their appearance? Would he like you to be iron them maybe? If he's picking on you about stuff that small he's really grasping at straws, he's clearly got nothing serious to raise with you.

I am watching the BBC drama 'The Cry' and kind of wishing I wasn't - don't want it to freak me out! It is good though, fairly creepy.

BTW, we need a new thread soon. Huzzah for Mini-Yammers!

WonkyDonk87 · 12/10/2018 22:52

Just noticed the Yammers have moved to a new thread too. Going to lurk because I'm overly invested in strangers but no point posting as I don't think anyone would recognise my username now.

The Cry looks good but I can't tolerate any form of suspense/drama atm Blush DH has pissed off big bosses at work so I'm currently catastrophising (?real word) that he'll be made a scapegoat and sacked and we'll lose our house. Confused

SoozC · 13/10/2018 09:30

Ah no, Wonks, I'm sure it'll be okay. He can't be sacked just for pissing them off. I piss my head off regularly but I'm still there! Try to enjoy your weekend x

Agree about not posting on new Yammers thread - most wouldn't know me now either. I did poke my head in though, seems there's been another bfp so maybe Orca will be joining us.

WonkyDonk87 · 13/10/2018 09:43

Ooh really?!! Excellent news!!!

DH works in a well known food retailer and their values towards staff are awful. He's been bucking against it for some time, and yesterday it came back to bite him. Now he's forced to be 'captain corporate' or be performance managed. Angry

Si1ver · 13/10/2018 10:22

No, sadly I think Orca's turned out to be a chemical.

WonkyDonk87 · 13/10/2018 11:17

Ugh. It's so shit isn't it? I still can't believe it's actually happened for us some days.

SoozC · 13/10/2018 13:42

Oh crap for her. Sad It's awful how things can change so quickly. I remember so well all the struggles, it is definitely amazing to think I've actually got this far.

I handed in my 28-days' notice to leave work earlier. Even though leaving at 33 weeks sounds too early, I know my body will appreciate it. I was getting dehydrated and really dry-mouthed, as I barely get a break in the day to fill up my water bottle and I always forget to drink during lessons. So bump didn't move much for a couple of days and I was worrying. I drank two big glasses of water when I got home yesterday and it's like he came back to life, proper wriggly. So that, together with sleeplessness and PGP (midwife referred me to physio at my appointment on Thursday) means that I think it's the right choice.

Just got to get the guts to talk to the head on Monday.

DoAsDreamersDo · 13/10/2018 14:13

I still read the Yammer threads, but don’t post on them now. I love seeing a BFP and feel so desperately sad for Orca today x

I’ve got 4 weeks left at work now before I start my year of maternity leave 😬

LimpLettice · 14/10/2018 07:54

I don't post either. The threads are quite different now, not quite the ranty ramblings I loved last year Grin

Poor Orca it's so horrible having that joy snatched away.

I've been awake for hours. My back is so sore I just can't get comfy, but I also had the flu jab yesterday and my arm is mega painful. I had the swine flu jab the day before I had DD and spent half of labour shouting 'ow, my arm', so I'm glad to get it out of the way but pfft. Today was my one lie in this week.

SoozC · 14/10/2018 10:00

Yeah, it's lost some of the sweary pissed-offness that we had Grin

Hope you're still in bed, Limp. I woke up about 20 minutes ago, DH brought me a coffee up. I hate not sleeping in the night but at least I slept in today. Usually, including yesterday, I'm awake at about half 7.

Si1ver · 14/10/2018 13:30

I've spent the weekend at my parents. It was lovely to see them, but fuck me I've slept badly. My shoulders hurt from lying on my side, the bed creaked every time I heaved my bulk over and the dog was constantly jumping on and off the bed because she's unsettled about being in a new place.

They did very kindly buy us a travel system though, so I feel bad bitching. I now have a three hour drive home in the pissing rain. I would kill for a husband who drives.

SoozC · 14/10/2018 13:36

Si1ver - what's the travel system like? I can't wait to get mine out of the box again and get it set up, but I have to wait a couple of months!

New thread!
