He did apologise this morning but it didn't help the tiredness! I had a little cry at someone when I came in but really wanted an hour or two to myself to blub. Still, at least I was busy all day and it's the weekend.

The sleep thing is tricky. I've never been brilliant at it, although I usually get about 7 hours. I have a DreamGenii pillow but my hips and knees still ache. I may try pillow spray - what is it exactly? I can't listen to music or an audiobook as I wear hearing aids so couldn't have it loud enough without disturbing DH.

Si1ver · 28/09/2018 17:16

I use this one Sooz www.thisworks.com/sleep/sleep-category/deep-sleep-pillow-spray/deep-sleep-pillow-spray.html?gclid=CjwKCAjworfdBRA7EiwAKX9HeDK4QAtIdqUpDJVUB-bjqr65HpQqjlwiNpxxjdk-k2lHM330VKmreRoCT1kQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

I forgot that you had hearing aids. Would something like this work for you? One of my friends swears by hers.

I put my book on a sleep timer so if it came off during the night it wouldn't be an issue.

I've just been given my first baby gift ❤️ Grin

SoozC · 28/09/2018 20:40

Aww! What is it?

They're super cute. I love the snail.

BGDino · 29/09/2018 04:08

@WonkyDonk87 squeeee so cute!

When we saw the heartbeat on our last scan we caved and bought this (I’m a massive Snoopy fan)...

@SoozC if my hubby had done that he’d be firmly in the dog house. Having said that he’s a sleep anywhere/anytime/anyhow kind of person and even if he does wake up he’s back to sleep in 60 seconds. Have joked with him that he should be the one to get up for our dumpling as it will quickly learn to self soothe since daddy’s rubbish at staying awake Grin

WonkyDonk87 · 29/09/2018 07:33

@BGDino I love that one!

LimpLettice · 29/09/2018 08:00

Sooz I would commit a murder. I do wear earplugs as DH snores like an express train but my sleep is so poor atm any further interruption is just rage inducing. Hope you has a better night.

Loving those baby bits 😍

Growth scan yesterday. Still 50th centile which is great, shit diet is doing what it needs to. I felt like a clever school girl who got a big pat on the back after I saw the consultant. I've packed a hospital bag...33 weeks on Monday and suddenly realised how close it's getting, don't want to be at the mercy of DHs 'packing' skills!

SoozC · 29/09/2018 09:44

Such cute outfits! I love having baby stuff in the house, sometimes I just get it out and cuddle it! And hurrah for 50th centile, Limp. My next scan is Friday so we'll see how he's doing - last time his head and tummy were the same circumference!

I've had a really good night's sleep, no doubt due to the fact that I've not had much this week. I did buy some sleep spray though so will see if that helps at all in the week, when I sleep less.

So pleased it's the weekend! 27 weeks so going to get my next Emma's Diary pack and a Starbucks latte. DH is very happy another week is gone. 7 1/2 left at work! It honestly can't go quick enough. The head asked me if I'd thought about who should take over my role when I'm on maternity. I thought 'No, isn't that your job?!' As if I don't have enough to do!

Happy weekend, Yammers! Hope you all have a good one x

WonkyDonk87 · 30/09/2018 22:42

Mini-Wonk is officially visible from the outside! Was having such a big movement just now I looked down and my belly was actually moving! DH was very amused 😂

BGDino · 01/10/2018 01:30

@WonkyDonk87 I would so love it if you had another one called Mini-Donk Grin

BGDino · 01/10/2018 01:32

@SoozC my boss told me the other day that he was lying awake at 4am not able to get back to sleep and he suddenly had a flash of inspiration about how to cover my mat leave 🤪

Si1ver · 01/10/2018 09:39

I was interviewing for my maternity cover last week and the guy we were interviewing actually said to me "well of course, you have to accept that these days women have the right to come back to work and if that's what they want to do, you're not allowed to judge them" AND he did those horrible fake air quote marks around the "allowed".

I was sat there with my mouth open. He's not getting the job.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 01/10/2018 09:49

@Si1ver. Shock What a dick weasel!

WonkyDonk87 · 01/10/2018 10:38

@Si1ver That's unbelievable! If only you could do face to face interview feedback..... you could do all sorts of sarky air quotes back at him Grin

Si1ver · 01/10/2018 12:09

It's ok, I left feedback saying that (truthful) "not only was he not technically competent, but I feel he would be an inappropriate fit for the team too"

He'll hate being called technically incompetent by a woman more than me pointing out that he was bloody rude.

Si1ver · 01/10/2018 12:12

*truthfully even

LookingAtTheStars89 · 01/10/2018 19:38

@WonkyDonk87. Ha Ha Yeah that's what I'd do Grin

BGDino · 04/10/2018 03:04

Ok this first trimester exhaustion thing is kicking my butt. I went home sick from work on Tuesday afternoon and have been off since, can’t seem to get enough energy to do anything other than nap. Can’t even bring myself to work on a laptop.

Is this normal? Or am I just a massive wuss???!!!

SoozC · 04/10/2018 07:21

Well, I'm just entering third trimester and find sleeping really hard so I'm still knackered! I've been lucky with lots of other aspects of this pregnancy, but the tiredness has really got to me. Every evening I just veg in front of the telly because I can't bring myself to do anything. So I know how you feel, Dino! (Except I can't work from home so still going in every day.)

SoozC · 05/10/2018 13:50

28 weeks today, Yammers! Got another scan now due to my total PI thing, hopefully it won't show any signs of potential pre-eclampsia. And at least I get another look at baby!

WonkyDonk87 · 06/10/2018 08:27

@BGDino I was shattered at first, and it's even worse because you can't tell anyone why. Mine got loads better recently, although my bad dreams/early waking reappeared last night so I can't say it goes away 100%.

28 Weeks @SoozC! Woo hoo! How was the scan? Could you see much? What's the PI thing?

SoozC · 06/10/2018 10:57

The PI thing is to do with blood flow to the uterus. Was borderline at 20 weeks so given extra scans at 28 and 32 weeks (all pregnancies get 36 week scan in my area).

But it is apparently all fine now and I heard heartbeat again and saw him a bit, hard to make out really, and she wasn't really looking to show him to me, just measured head and abdomen and femur. But he's grown as much as he needs to and she was very happy so it was nice.

It was the same sonographer we had for my two miscarriage scans nearly a year ago and she thought I looked familiar, great to be able to see her in happier circumstances!

WonkyDonk87 · 07/10/2018 22:51

Having a total panic that my bump is massive and it's because I've eaten so much shit, and I'll have a massive baby, and I'll have undiagnosed GDD..... help.
