Hospital was hotter than hades in December, Nimble, I can only imagine what it is like now.

Portable unit duly purchased and arriving Thursday. Gotta love an efficient husband. Wish I had a troglodyte cave Milk. I forsee poor husband delegated to the sofa while DD and I spend all evening lounging in bed.

WonkyDonk87 · 24/07/2018 12:24

Troglodyte cave had me giggling 😂

DH is renewing our car insurance.... we leave in 5 mins. You reckon he's nervous? Ha ha

LookingAtTheStars89 · 24/07/2018 14:10

Sounds a bit like BH to me Milk if it comes and goes. I get them occasionally now, like a heavy tightening sensation, which I recognise from DD, but ask your MW if they are worrying you. I forget how far you are?

@Milknosugar1. I had the funkiest BH with my DDs! I could feel that sensation in my chest and face! Apparently it happens to other people too. When it first happened I thought I was having a heart attack or stroke! I'd get the feeling in my head first and then feel it in my tummy - how odd!

WonkyDonk87 · 24/07/2018 17:13

All is well in the Wonky-Womb! Measuring 12+2 so bang on schedule. Bean (who is looking much less like a bean now) was having a good ol' rave, air punching with its arms must take after its mum Grin

SoozC · 24/07/2018 17:49

Good to hear, Wonky!

LimpLettice · 24/07/2018 18:18

V pleased all is going well Wonks.

Pram arrived eek! Looks lovely, easy to put up etc. Now just need somewhere to stash it all 🙄

LookingAtTheStars89 · 24/07/2018 19:36

@WonkyDonk87 Hooray! I bet you were relieved :-)

@LimpLettice. I can't wait to get to the buying stuff part of the pregnancy.

WonkyDonk87 · 25/07/2018 08:05

Well.... I was having a good day until DH started a minor barney 🙄. Cue tears from me for ruining the day. What a knob sack. Feel a bit better today but still not forgiven him completely

SoozC · 25/07/2018 08:23

Ah, Wonky, sorry to hear it. Hopefully DH is feeling suitably guilty so looks after you today x

I'm 85% certain I felt kicks in the middle of the night! Everything tells me I shouldn't; first time mum, overweight, possible anterior placenta etc. but I just feel convinced I did!

WonkyDonk87 · 25/07/2018 09:17

Ahhh @SoozC that's so exciting!

DoAsDreamersDo · 25/07/2018 13:25

Sooz I've got an anterior placenta (that's what it says on my 20wk scan notes anyway) and I'm sure I've been feeling small kicks for a few weeks now. The first ones that I felt were first thing on a morning when I was still in bed. even now I get them more when I'm just sat relaxing rather than out and about.

Wonk I'm so glad that everything went well with your scan x sorry about your DH though. Don't let him ruin your day.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 25/07/2018 13:29

@s1lver. Any more news from your SIL? I read on a MN thread yesterday about someone else going through similar. I have my next scan coming up on Tuesday and I have found myself thinking about it. I was born with congenital abnormalities, you can't really see them from the outside but inside (xrays etc) you definitely can. The roof of my mouth arches high and I was told that I was lucky I didn't have a cleft palate. Specialists have said they are fairly certain that it was "just one if those things" and probably not genetic but it does worry you.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 25/07/2018 13:32

@WonkyDonk87. Ahhh DH's are a pain in the butt! ❤

Si1ver · 25/07/2018 14:09

Which thread was that @LookingAtTheStars89

LookingAtTheStars89 · 25/07/2018 14:32

@Si1ver. The Feb one. I think the lady had just had her 12 week scan.

LimpLettice · 26/07/2018 19:03

It arrived S1lver! It's an evaporative air cooler and I loves it. Freezing cold air blasting at me for £100. I will have a job letting it go to go to work tomorrow.

Sooz I've been feeling movement since about 14 weeks with this one, it's unmistakable once you notice it even if it's early. It's so reassuring isn't it?

Si1ver · 26/07/2018 19:26

Can you talk to occupational health at work @LimpLettice? £100 seems like a reasonable adjustment to your environment for your pregnancy. You can't be effective feeling like that.

LimpLettice · 26/07/2018 20:36

I am occupational health S1lver! And HR, operations, sales... we are small, less than 20, with no budget to speak of. MD has however agreed to order an additional aircon, we have one portable which frankly doesn't do much, so hopefully that'll arrive in the next few days. It's a bugger for sure.

SoozC · 29/07/2018 11:02

I am back from holiday! Signal was awful but the weather was fab and it was nice to hang out by the beach with some of my large extended family!

Back to reality today, got a long list of things to do this holiday, including chucking out loads of stuff. And the travel system I ordered arrives tomorrow...!

WonkyDonk87 · 29/07/2018 19:33

Ooh! Were you home or abroad Sooz? Glad you had a good time.

I've had a relaxing weekend of walking, shopping, eating and most importantly NOT doing any extra work. Had a snooze on the sofa this afternoon as my fatigue is back with a vengeance. Going to attempt another episode of Orange Is the New Black before early bed (the last one made me cry so we had to stop 🙈)
