I have my booking in appointment today.

I've got my 16 week midwife appointment! No idea what to expect, except that I know that they need to take bloods because they weren't able to do the nuchal test at the 12 week scan.

@Si1ver. God Don't lol. I actually have a massive duck phobia - those brown river ducks - literally make me want to vomit looking at them! I hope your booking in goes well - it can be a bit tedious with all the form filling!

Got down's and Edwards/Patau results - former is 1 in 5500 and latter is 1 in 100000. Relieved, although I know there's always a chance.

@SoozC. Have they always tested for edwards/patau? I Don't recall ever seeing results for that anywhere. I've only ever had the downs letter through the post.

My scan is on Monday and I am not looking forward to it at all. I know it's not logical bit I keep thinking "Everyone else is getting good results I'm going to be the "1 in 4 again" I wish I could shake the fear.

Looking, how far along are you? I'm not sure if the other tests were done because I ticked a box? I just thought I'd get everything, not sure why, was a bit on-the-spot.

I'm only a week from my last scan, already doubting I can last until August for the next one.

@SoozC. I'm coming up for 7. I've seen others mention the tests, I will ask at my booking in if I get that far. With my other pregnancies I never really worries but the mmc has pulled the rug from under my feet!

I had the quadruple bloods at my 12 week scan as standard altho you can refuse. Was 1:1400 and 1:48000, which is good given the starting point of 1:150 for downs at 40+

My midwife was lovely 😍 she was super kind and I feel a lot better about being under her care. She also told me that they don't class people under 40 as geriatric and that she thought my GP sounded like a twat 😂

I have my scan tomorrow at 12pm. I'm absolutely dreading it! DH is saying it cool with "At least we will know either way" In a way, I can see where he's coming from but you know. I don't want to go through another miscarriage, my first one was almost 10 months ago but it feels like it was a short while ago.

Oh - and don't drink too much before hand! It really isn't that important (if they can't get a clear pic they'll just give you a glass of water there) and you don't want to add to your stress by worrying about piddling yourself.
