DS likes pouring salt on them and watching them melt.....or leaving rice out for them...they explode quite spectacularly. Boys, aren't they just lovely

DH has got this book . It's funny and informative!

daisybump · 09/05/2007 09:59

Fatcatkin...you are a star...that's one of the websites I was on

holly, pass that crown to Fatcatkin....you've been deposed

fatcatkin · 09/05/2007 09:59

or these?

hollyandalice · 09/05/2007 10:00

Oooo good book!! I would pour salt on them, I hate them that much, but I am a veggie and it goes against all my principles, it's a little bit too mean!! I used to quite like them until they ate my veggies! I have no problem picking them up and slinging them over the fence into next door's garden!!

fatcatkin · 09/05/2007 10:00

Holly, your crown is safe! I'd already been looking at those so had them saved in my favourites anyway. At least I know how to do a linky thing now!!

hollyandalice · 09/05/2007 10:02

I am happy to share my crown!

annobal · 09/05/2007 10:03

Green baby has some nice wooden toys here

fatcatkin · 09/05/2007 10:03

Hope you all have lovely day - I'd better go and get dressed! (Not that i'm naked or anything at the minute - what a horrid thought!)
Chat later...

annobal · 09/05/2007 10:03

Oooh - yours are nicer Fatcatkin...

hollyandalice · 09/05/2007 10:05

I'm not getting dressed! I'm still in my trackie bottom and baggy top and dd is still in her sleepsuit! It's too cold and rainy to get dressed!

fatcatkin · 09/05/2007 10:08

I'm currently in mismatched, too tight, horrid coloured tracksuity pj things. Would be happy to stay like this all day too but meeting a friend over lunch so had better make an effort I suppose!
Must go!

annobal · 09/05/2007 10:08

H&A sounds like a great idea - unfortunately I have to take DS to his 2 year check and then meeting a friend in the park - hope its not raining...

hollyandalice · 09/05/2007 10:09

Have fun catkin!!

I'm eating sugar puffs out of the box!! Hehehe!

catsuitgirl · 09/05/2007 10:09

ooh, feeling very weird. Slept okay but for too long - stranged dreams too, mostly involving Hugh Laurie (??) - and now feeling v. spaced.

But still LOL at thought of Bad Zelda's arm up a cow's fanjo. Tell me they do it differently with humans?

catsuitgirl · 09/05/2007 10:10

That should have read Bad Zelda's DH's arm. I told you I felt spaced...

BadZelda · 09/05/2007 10:14

You only need to stick an arm up there if the calf/lamb is breech...it's quite possible DH has more experience of breech 'babies' than the average midwife in that sense!
HAVE I GROSSED YOU ALL OUT ENOUGH YET?

hollyandalice · 09/05/2007 10:14

Can you get an arm up your fanjo catsuitgirl? Yes they do do it differently with most humans!

kittykitt · 09/05/2007 10:15

Off to work in a bit but thought i would say morning to you all.
Foxy - hope your BHs have calmed down and you are putting your feet up.

Had a terrible nights sleep (so much for looking forward to diagonal sprawling!)- was up at 3 to go to the loo. Unable to get back to sleep i gave up and read for half an hour before finally dropping off at 5!
Am shattered now, but boiled egg and soldiers has sorted me out.

kittykitt · 09/05/2007 10:16

Eeeew, BZ, you are totally grosssing me out & now regretting choice of breakfast

riabutterflew · 09/05/2007 10:17

Morning all. I won the "battle" and DH is in bed connected to his/my TENS machine (I told him that if he didn't take some time off and rest up he wouldn't even be able to hold the baby when it is born. A bit mean perhaps but it's got results! Now just have to hope that is doesn't blow off in his face when he goes back to work and he ends up jobless... we have been here before MANY times. The East Coast and the Hotel industry just don't live by the rules if the normal world of employment.)

BZ- lol at your DP and farm animals. My DF is a farmer and apparently he knew I was in labour with DS1 when I didn't, so it can't be that different (apart from the intervening tactics that is.)

Can't help with the slugs. I am useless at gardening and the seeds I grew with the boys will probably die in the pots before they make it outside...

Must go and take DH a cup of tea and then get on - only an hour before I have to collect DS2. Where does the time go?

riabutterflew · 09/05/2007 10:19

Take it easy foxy. We did miss you BTW.

daisybump · 09/05/2007 10:20

It's been a bad night all round hasn't it?
I'm in my new smart tracky bums that I got in Next...for after the birth, but surprisingly they fit at the mo all right and more to the point are comfy!....off for a snooze now and then going out for lunch with my girlfriends...don't think I'll change though. LO has definately engaged....feeling horrible pressure on my back passage when I walk, like I want to poo!!

NattyThomasandEllen · 09/05/2007 10:38

so how many of us know what they are having? as u can see from my name im having a girl! curious to see how many are waiting to find out, personally i am just not good enough to wait, to many pretty pink things to buy

more BH again last night, my poor tummy thinks its in labour for like the last 2 weeks!

not dressed either, lying in bed with hubby as tom is napping. the weather is dreadful here, miserable and cold was hoping to take tom to the park today as well, looks like another walk around the shopping center today then. (our alternative "park" when its horrid out lmao)

speak soon

N&T&E

daisybump · 09/05/2007 10:45

We think this is a girl...sonographer almost 100% certain, but hedging our bets incase he made a mistake and it's actually a boy. Had a gut feeling fro the off that it's a pink one, so we'll wait and see. I've bought some girly outfits and have been given some, but have played safe with white or lemon newborn stuff. Bub won't mind wearing pink vests and sleepsuits anyway

Tried to snooze, but just cant....feeling really uncomfortable

hollyandalice · 09/05/2007 10:55

My bump is def blue! It was very obvious on the scan!! I have loads of little blue bits, but I still have all dd's teeny baby clothes as well, so it doesn't really matter. I really need to start sorting out the new baby clothes, they are all muddled up and I need to get the really tiny stuff out ready for d-day!

Sorry you are feeling shitty daisy! I have been feeling really awful the past couple of days. Just really tired and sicky and light headed. Hopefully it's just a cold and it'll pass. Hope you get some sleep!
