Great scan pic @kirinm ! Congratulations!

To answer a question or two about the group:

I've put the same post on both September babies threads that I'm on and people from both threads have joined so far. If there's another thread let me know and I'll stick the same post on there too.

You need to use the web browser to PM, you can't use the app

We've got 22 of us over on the secret FB group so far, so feel free to PM me for the details and come to say hello!

LostMyBaubles · 26/02/2018 13:57

I dont use fb at all so fx this thread still stays active

Kirin lovely pic. Did they see any more bleeding?

kirinm · 26/02/2018 14:03

They didn't mention it @LostMyBaubles but they said they weren't too bothered so long as it was a small amount compared to the size of the baby. They looked at a lot but paid little or no attention to the bleeding so I'm guessing it's not too big a deal.

LostMyBaubles · 26/02/2018 14:06

Kirin sounds like they arent worried which is fab!

Scan is Thursday can't wait!

kirinm · 26/02/2018 14:06

It's frightening but also fantastic! I'll be keeping an eye out for your update.

CuppaSarah · 26/02/2018 14:17

Amazing kirin sounds like it went really well!! I hope you stop bleeding now and get to enjoy your pregnancy! You deserve a super lovely, easy pregnancy after all you've been through.

ShutTheFridgeUp · 26/02/2018 14:22

Such wonderful news, Kirin!

Sals27 · 26/02/2018 14:28

Thats wonderful news Kirin and such a brilliant photo. I'm so pleased for you!

Gr33nshoes · 26/02/2018 14:33

Hi all, can I join?

I’m expecting DC3 6th Sep. We’ve had a couple of mc’s so I’ve been holding back joining in but we’ve had a scan and harmony test results back now. Lowest risk for everything and baby is a girl! We’re waiting for our official dating scan at the hospital on Friday before announcing it properly though.

@Theblindspot I will pm you about FB if that’s ok.

Hope everyone is feeling ok!

LostMyBaubles · 26/02/2018 14:39

Its snowing. Hmm and its sunny. Wtf looks like the weather has taken inspo from our hormones!

Fx we all get to relax once we've had our scan! X

MonaTheMoaner · 26/02/2018 14:51

@kirinm oh that's a beautiful scan photo! I'm so glad everything's ok.

Fia256 · 26/02/2018 14:55

Ahh Kirinm what a beautiful picture and great news!

I have my scan tomorrow and I'm all sorts of nervous for it now!! It'll be the first time I've been back to the maternity dept since our horrible experience last year, scans make me a complete mess anyway, and I'm now panicking about the snow as I've got to hope that firstly the schools not closed tomorrow as will have no childcare, and if the school is open, I've gotta get the kids there then dart off to the hospital in a ridiculous time frame even when there's no snow traffic!! We are an amber warning for the snow too so I'm fully expecting it to be a total logistical nightmare tomorrow and that's just bloody getting there!!

Someone tell me to calm down and stop worrying over things I can't controlGrinBlush

CuppaSarah · 26/02/2018 14:59

Fia I'm with you in snow and logistics panics! Our scan is tomorrow, it's tight anyway for.dropping ds at dads, doing the scan, picking ds up and getting dd from afterschool club! But to add snow it it's a right bugger. Last pregnancy the hospital car park was being redone and they were super good when people were late. Hopefully it will be the same with snow!

CuppaSarah · 26/02/2018 15:03

Someone just walked past, who is stockpiling milk incase snowageddon comes and freezes all the cows udders off. Not helping my panic.

Fia256 · 26/02/2018 15:04

It couldn't have picked a worse week could it! It's already settling where we are and it's not even properly forecast until the through night! I just have visions of having no choice but to have the kids with me which gives me huge anxiety because of last time, or the school messing about till the last minute, deciding to open and then it taking an hour to get to the hospital and I miss the scan!

Kids go into school at 8.50, appointment is 9.20 and it's a half hour journey just in normal rush hour traffic!! It's doomed already lol. Luckily I've got a friend who will watch them in the playground from 8.30 ish but with the snow I'll still be pushing it!

kirinm · 26/02/2018 15:04

Thank you all! I cannot day how fantastic I felt the hospital were / are. It's the fetal medicine research centre at King's. Bit late for people to go there now but if you're anywhere near South London I would recommend it.

@Fia256 I can only imagine how terrified you must be. When I explained my history today the first thing they did was find the heartbeat to calm me down. I'm sure yours will do the same.

Namechangedtoscream · 26/02/2018 15:05

No snow here get. It's falling but not settling, it never does!

loveulotslikejellytots · 26/02/2018 15:20

I haven't been on for a few weeks, but it's lovely to come back and see some scan pics!

I've had my first bit of the booking in, they do it in 2 parts here. Second part is next week. Still no scan date here and I'm 10 weeks today, so I will check with the mw next week and they can chase it up. I'm getting inpatient now! Plus DH is convinced it's twins, I am huge this time round. I think it's just second baby, everything pops out a bit sooner Grin I think it's just one!

Rockerfeller · 26/02/2018 16:35

I think I posted on the wrong thread! Oops!

Well I found out I'm pregnant last night and had it confirmed via a scan this afternoon- I'm 11 weeks and didn't have a clue Blush. But I don't have very regular periods and I had fertility treatment before chemo in 2016 and we were told the chemo would render me infertile so this is a massive massive blessing ❤️

dingdongdigeridoo · 26/02/2018 16:35

The worst time for it to snow is around your due date! Happened when I had DS, and I was absolutely bricking it every time I had braxton hicks. All the roads were shut and I was stuck inside the house as I couldn't manage the icy pavements with my crutches.

I'm hoping this week won't quite be the snowmageddon that everyone is predicting. It has been snowing on and off all day but not settling. The cold winds are awful though. Really painful on the skin.

MonaTheMoaner · 26/02/2018 16:37

No results. Called back at 4. They’re back but a doctor hasn’t seen them yet so I have to call back again tomorrow after 11. Pretty sure it’s a UTI as I have cramps in my back and uterus that feel very heavy and infection like.

Fia256 · 26/02/2018 16:40

Wow @Rockerfeller what a blessing! That's such amazing news congratulations and welcome!!

Namechangedtoscream · 26/02/2018 16:47

Welcome aboard rockerfeller! Did I post the wrong link? Blush sorry!!

MonaTheMoaner · 26/02/2018 16:52

Hi @Rockerfeller! That's incredible news, congratulations.

LostMyBaubles · 26/02/2018 16:56

Congrats rocker!

Mona most likely infection as if the urine is clear the receptionist can normally say its normal? Has done here

I hate snow. Hate hate hate it!
