Midwife appointment today. Hoping she'll listen to the heartbeat. Due to my constant fucking bleeding I've seen baby on a scan already this week (and last week) but have had another bleed since then so would like to hear the heartbeat. After today I don't think I've got any appointments until my scan which is 21 weeks - just over 3 weeks away. I can't imagine I won't end up in the maternity assessment centre within that time though. Sadly.

LostMyBaubles · 29/03/2018 17:14

Makes sense fia to get it done. Im waiting to find out and then will get nursery sorted

Kirin fx they will do it for you. Ive found if you ask nicely and give them some background info they will do it

I had 2 appts at the hosp last week, 2 the week before. 2 this week and 1 next week Hmm im bloody knackered

Today was waste of appt as no1 told me had to have thw injection in the morning for me to have bloods done!

Feet are killing now
Been on them all day and have sweeling of joints which doesnt help

kirinm · 29/03/2018 17:40

Midwife listened to the heartbeat and baby kicked her as a thank you!

I was also seen in the maternity assessment unit, being referred to a specialist to try to sort out this bleeding. Meant I had a scan as well. To be honest, we did see baby but they were trying to see if there was blood in my uterus.

Still wish I could fast forward to 24 weeks.

Poptart4 · 29/03/2018 18:18

Can i join? Due 30th September with baby #4. I was told on another thread that there is a Facebook group for September due dates. Can anyone tell me how to join it please?

Sals27 · 29/03/2018 18:30

Hi poptart you need to pm @theblindspot to join fb group

LostMyBaubles · 30/03/2018 10:27

Kirin hopefully they will sort it out and keep close eye on you.
Not too long now until we all hit that crucial 24week mark (tbh ive read some hosp even help from 23 weeks and read lots of success stories)

My nephew was born at 24 weeks.
His mum went into labour at 23+5 they gave her steriods to help with his lungs etc

Hes now a healthy, active 4yr old!
You wouldnt believe he was a 24 weeker!

mumallgirls · 30/03/2018 17:51

Hi Kirinm. I have been bleeding on and off from week 6 ( I am 16+4 now). We had another private scan on wednesday, all was well and we found out the sex. I have started bleeding again today, with cramps. It is the worst feeling being in a limbo. Every time we got excited, I start bleeding and cramping, horrible feeling.

kirinm · 30/03/2018 17:58

@mumallgirls it's really frightening isn't it? Do they have any idea what the cause of yours is? They've found what my issue is, just don't know how they can treat it.

mumallgirls · 30/03/2018 18:06

@Kirinm, I had a d & c operation in november due to twin miscarriage, they seem to think it is due to a weak cervix. But they are not willing to do anything, I have been told to take it easy and put my feet up. I am starting to lose hope, the cramping is the worrying bit. I will just see how it goes, and hope I reach 24 weeks too. I wish you all the best and hope they find a solution for you.

kirinm · 30/03/2018 18:37

@mumallgirls shouldn't you go and be seen? I was told if I bleed to go to the labour ward (out of hours). I know there might not be a huge amount they can do but they might be able to reassure you?

mumallgirls · 30/03/2018 20:33

@Kirinm, I was there few days ago, they told me not to worry and to keep an eye on it. I will go see them again in the weekend.

LostMyBaubles · 01/04/2018 09:48

Hope both of your bleeding stops

Anyonr suffering with severe itchiness?
Im itching that much my skin bleeds

LostMyBaubles · 01/04/2018 10:02

My itching is worse at night.

Worst placeas backs of legs, bum and chest.

Hubby bought my one of those back washer hard sponges on a stick been using that to minimise bleeding

dingdongdigeridoo · 02/04/2018 12:54

Hope you’re all enjoying Easter. I have the worst sciatica at the moment. Sitting on the loo is the most painful thing as it’s right on the nerve! Anyone else have this and can recommend remedies other than useless paracetemol?

ShutTheFridgeUp · 02/04/2018 17:14

Sitting on a hot water bottle helped massively when I had it, along with stretching it out (google can help with these) it's utterly miserable having it. I can feel it brewing again this time around and not looking forward to it! I'm trying to keep it at bay with stretches!!

PandaPop90 · 03/04/2018 11:53

Can I join this thread as well Smile?

I'm due 29th September with my first - they did originally estimate it to be the 21st, but had my 12 week scan a few weeks ago and they updated it. Feeling completely lost and out of my depth at the moment (see another thread I posted yesterday lol), but its cheering me up reading about so many people due at around the same time Smile

Also @LostMyBaubles my itchiness is driving me insane at night. But I often find that I get very dry skin and eczema this time of year so I don't know if it's that, or just another wonderful symptom of being pregnant ;).

Anyone else still suffering from extreme food aversions? It's driving me mad not being able to eat/look at meat, or have anything with milk in it!

Roeslein · 03/04/2018 14:11

@PandaPop90, make sure you get enough iron and calcium given your aversions. I was just off work for a week with what turned out to be exhaustion due to anemia / iron deficiency. I'm not even a vegetarian, I just don't eat a lot of meat and assumed the iron in my prenatals (15 mg) was enough, when in fact that would only be enough for someone who's not pregnant! I was constantly exhausted, had headaches, couldn't focus at all for three weeks before getting diagnosed. It got a lot better with iron supplements though!

niclw · 03/04/2018 20:09

Hi. I hope it's all right to join you all. I'm on the other September thread then saw yours. I'm 17 weeks today due 11th September. Looking forward to my midwife appt on Friday as I'm hoping to hear the heartbeat but I know they don't do it everywhere. If not, it's only 3 weeks till my scan. I don't plan on finding out but I'm certain that I'm joining team blue.

PandaPop90 · 03/04/2018 20:42

@Roeslein oh this explains a lot!! I've been having headaches almost daily for the past 2-3 weeks, it's been a nightmare. Definitely going to go and get some iron/calcium supplements! Thanks Smile!

@niclw how exciting! What makes you think you will be team blue, if you don't mind me asking Smile? Sorry - just curious - this is my first child, and I keep getting a strong suspicion it's a girl, but I think that may only be because we already have a girl's name chosen, but no name for a boy lol!

Katjolo · 03/04/2018 22:26

@Lostmybaubbles- I'm experiencing the itchiness too. trying to keep my skin nice and moisturised often, which seems to help.

niclw · 03/04/2018 22:41

Hi @PandaPop90 It's my first as well so definitely not an expert. It's a combination of just thinking that it's a boy since very early on and others telling me that old wives tales were true for them such as I've been unable to eat anything chocolatey/sweet since 5 weeks. Also although I felt sick I haven't had any morning sickness. Then my mum told me from my scan that she reckons it's a boy. I've been told that boys are easier and I'm going to be a single mum so it could just be that I've convinced myself it's a boy for that reason.

Had a tiny bit of bleeding this morning

kirinm · 04/04/2018 12:22

Try not to worry Lost. I know it's scary. I've had so much bleeding and ridiculous as it sounds, as I've not bled for a few days am starting to worry that I'm not bleeding. Definitely go and get checked. My experience has been that they're happy to help.
