Feel for you on he groggy front Foxy.....I wne to bed at 11:00...woke up at 1:00 for the loo, then 2:00 cos I was thirsty. The water (FFS) gave me heartburn and I couldn't get back to sleep. Finally got up at 5:00 and decamped to the sofa......got to sleep again at 6:30...DS and DH up at 7:00, but I managed to snooze until 8:00.

But what a nightmare of a night you've had....I'm just tired, not pissed off and tired

Like the Daisy the Diplomat title....if only I could heed my own advice when it comes to running my own life...I positively thrive on conflict in RL

foxybrown · 06/05/2007 09:33

yes, it is "roomy" - which is odd - I thought the same as you, it'd be one or the other. Also the nighty has boob coverage for feeding, so you can be v discreet. I'm not sure if there's too much coverage and baby might end up with a mouthful of fabric, but definately good if the ILs are visiting and you don't want to wop them out!

Good to know about the Asda tops, might investigate those.

Just watched a home water birth on TV. Sob sob sob. it was so perfect!

foxybrown · 06/05/2007 09:35

I too have no money left but have bought everything now, but I bloody well forgot to buy a changing mat. Fairly useful bit of kit i'd say. Dur!! [stupid smiley]

Daisybump · 06/05/2007 09:39

They only cost a few quid though....
think I might just get some button up pj tops...maybe in lovely wincyette to match my geriatric mum status!!

I remember with DS that I has to strip to the waist to feed him anyway, so discretion not an issue really, but it did kind of impede my life for a bit as I couldn't go out for more than three hours!!

Daisybump · 06/05/2007 09:40

Righty ho...off to the garden centre to get my hers for the new herb bed....it's all very exciting!

foxybrown · 06/05/2007 09:49

H&M also do breastfeeding tops - the flappy ones. I'm not sure if its worth buying specific tops, but its a shopping opportunity nevertheless!

foxybrown · 06/05/2007 09:50

Will it be open now?! Bit early - we are having a PJ morning. Children appear to be playing nicely togther, I am on here, watching cookery shows and reading the papers ....

its all going to go tits up very soon isn't it?!

bumperlicious · 06/05/2007 10:08

Is it too early to eat chocolate ice cream?

foxybrown · 06/05/2007 10:11

All that calcium in the milk and the chocolate its made with, I'm surprised its not medically recommended Bumper!

personally, I'm having toast

with chocolate spread!

As long as there is chocolate content then anything is fair game and any time IMHO!

bumperlicious · 06/05/2007 10:17

Well, I've already had coco pops! My body is obviously craving more calcium though so I might have to force some ice cream down!

Sounds like you are having a nice relaxing morning Foxy. If I can be bothered to get dressed I might pop out and get some papers myself.

foxybrown · 06/05/2007 10:26

its lovely, DP rang after getting my "please don't be late" text message, and he's actually coming home on an earlier train!

oh, crying snotty DD just arrived!

foxybrown · 06/05/2007 10:32

oh dear, they have all got the glitter pens out and are doing some 'art' for mummy.

never mind, had to clean the conservatory later anyway! will ensure I do it properly.

I am a big fan of having the sunday papers delivered! feels like such luxury!

bumperlicious · 06/05/2007 10:41

I'd like to have them delivered but if I did I would never leave the house! I need a reason to get dressed!

foxybrown · 06/05/2007 10:43

we've decided no-one is allowed to get dressed until daddy is home at lunchtime!

found two bags of chocolate brioche rolls from my tescos delivery! wouldn't want them to go stale now ... yummy!

bumperlicious · 06/05/2007 10:54

Oh yeah, that would be a waste!

I just had a bowl of icecream, then went back to the freezer and now I'm finishing it off straight from the tub! What a waste of a clean bowl - should have just taken the tub in the first place!

foxybrown · 06/05/2007 11:03

yes, it tastes better straight from the tub!
like fish and chips from the paper!

foxybrown · 06/05/2007 11:05

ha ha children have got themselves cushions and blankets and are 'going to bed' in the living room.

am loving this morning!

claire74 · 06/05/2007 11:19

Morning everyone, seems like we're all craving chocolate..not me though, going to make you all jealous...dp took me out for birthday meal last night, probably last time before baby arrives and first time in ages, we went on my request to Gaucho Grill in Hampstead , Anyone been? its quite plush full of beautiful people, I felt like a huge whale waddling in , but didn't care once I got my food, its famous for steak, and its amazing they bring a selection of cuts raw to your table and you choose which piece you'd like, we had a gaucho sampler bit of everything! obviously couldn't have it bloody so I compramised and still had it pink..it was beautiful..followed by chocolate truffle cake, and all washed down with a nice glass of red wine, totally indulged.

Derlor..really interesting advice you gave me, I will make sure I do that in the future, after 1st failed attempt I will demand someone else.
So worried about it now, thinking maybe not having this last lot done...or go and try and have them done with my gp, don't want to go to the hospital.

Funny you all talking about the lush butterbomb etc, I've just been given a lush goodie bag, and its something I would usually recycle and give to someone else as I'm not really into really smelly stuff, but reading all your posts, really intrigued about the butterbomb now, it sounds really nice.

Bumperlicious ..read your baby list, it looks like you've done quite well, price wise..nice to see the largest expense has been on yourself thats the way to do it..very I would love some of that pampering.

Supposed to be going to have a tour of the maternity ward this afternoon, although dp is busy laying woodfloor with his dad in our bedroom and keeps warning me , he doubts very much he'll have time to go. Pisses me off as its our only chance to go, and I have warned him for weeks..he doesn't see it as important, but I would like to have a nosey at the birthing centre...although maybe its best to go in blind.

have a good day everyone

foxybrown · 06/05/2007 11:23

sounds delicious Claire! you lucky thing

bumperlicious · 06/05/2007 11:38

Claire - Lush stuff is fab you must use it! I love it! Bit crap about Dh, he really should go, if only so he knows where to go when he takes you in! Can you give him a kick and make him go! I found that I needed to go just so I could visualise what it would be like, makes me feel more prepared. What a fab meal, sounds lovely.

derlor · 06/05/2007 12:22

morning chicks.
i'm not going to tell you all when i got up or what i've being doing all morning cause you WILL ALL HATE ME!!!!!!
i am however off to supermarket now to buy stuff for making a chilli for my LO's and GP's arriving home about 5pm -tralala.... skips off merrilly to shops with no sound of "mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy i'm bored!!!!!!!!" not coming from my trolley anyway

foxybrown · 06/05/2007 12:39

DP coming home with fry-up ingredients

children starting to get fractious, but he's nearly here

have this nerve pain again, so going to HAVE to lie down for a long time

bumperlicious · 06/05/2007 13:25

Anyone else's legs feeling all crampy? Still smarting in my calf from yesterday's cramp but thighs feel all crampy too.

bumperlicious · 06/05/2007 13:26

Derlor, have you been getting your prostaglandin in early...?

notsolilKel · 06/05/2007 14:04

Hey ladies, SW London checking in here...

Claire, sounds like you had a delicious night. Good for you!! . I tried out the Lush Butterbomb last night and it really was very nice (and no ill after effects with my UTI sensitivities). Funny tho how at first you feel like you're sitting in a giant glass of lemonade with all that fizzing...

Derlor - ??? - was it the mint ice cream trick?? C'mon now, fess up!

Confession time: had huge hormonal breakdown today. Warning all you lurkers - this is really v stupid and only heavily pg women can possibly understand - Asked DH to hang the bunting whilst he was reading about the football (yeah yeah I know, what was I thinking) so of course he gets all bolshie about the bunting and the decorating, so it becomes "you don't want this baby do you?" - oh dear oh dear - sometimes I wish I could care a little less, about everything.....
