Wow - justbeme - is your daughter tall? She could keep you in your old age. You look really alike.

Sputnik, Ria and Daisy - am with you on heartburn. I am popping lemon Gaviscon like Smarties, I can only get it down by holding my nose and shutting my eyes which gets a funnny look while shopping. Foods I have tried that can help a bit are melon and yoghurt. Someone else told me bananas, which actually made it worse.

After my arrhythmia diagnosis I bought a home blood pressure and pulse test. Don't do it. I now sit here testing every hour and though the pulse is accurate my bp ranges from 100/80 to 160/95. I am taking the precaution of ignoring it!

Daisybump · 04/05/2007 15:23

OOOH bananas...I was having one a day in my brekkie, but gave that up weeks ago as it was just so painful afterwards...then I was eating raisins (def helped with the constipation) but they're doing the same thing now.

I remember with DS even dry toast was getting me at the end!

BadZ...probably just showing my age and/or lack of cool...but who is/are LTJ Bukem?

Smack my birth up....like it

Been looking at the photos from my birth experience with DS and gently weeping this afternoon.....need to snap out of it..off to watch baby progs on cable [grn]

sputnik · 04/05/2007 15:29

I had a scan last saturday and they estimated 2.3 kg, which is 5.1 lb!!! I'm only 32 weeks!
Kind of reassuring if he does arrive early, less so if I end up overdue. Ouch.

Still, if they can be as off as you say Daisy maybe I should forget it.

Daisybump · 04/05/2007 15:33

But, sputnik...they can be 25% under as well as over....double ouch!!

sputnik · 04/05/2007 15:35

Don't want to even think about that. Had enough trouble getting DD out and she was only 3kg

hollyandalice · 04/05/2007 15:37

I am personally estimating my baby to weigh around 15lb already (well that's what it feels like)!! Seriously though I think I'm on my way to having a 10lber. DD was 8lb 11oz and 2nd babies are supposed to be bigger and so are boys !

I am feeling better after a nice long nap and my dp has come home and I've had a nice cuddle! He is going to get the boys now though. All I feel like doing tonight is sitting quietly and eating ice cream, but I can't. Oh well I'll just have to wait til sunday night! Quite good coz it gives me something to look forward to!

I love that fight thread and the comment from MNHQ! PMSL!

My LO put on over a kilo in four weeks at one week according to my scans (which ironically, I was getting due to worries about having another small baby!) Even better was the sonographer going "Ooooh - that's a big head!!" at my last scan. Cheers, love.

sputnik · 04/05/2007 16:00

Can't be worse than when my gynae said to me once with DD "ooh you're full full full of faeces, Sputnik"

Have been assiduous with the prunes pre gynae visits this time around.

justbeme · 04/05/2007 16:02

Back again!
Been out for some sun and weeding in the garden. My potatoes are coming up nicely!! (Although some bugger of an animal has dug up some of my lettuce)

Yes Doggus my daughter is about 5ft 3 or 4 and only 12, they reckon she'll be 5ft11 or something. Mind you her stupid Dad got conned by ModelsDirect and paid £120 or so up front and never heard another thing ( I told him not to so he went ahead and did it!)

Also DP home now - had a nice cuddle and abit more of a cry so feeling better that im not alone now -

westcoaster · 04/05/2007 16:03

LOL Sputnik!!! Your gynae actually told you you were full of shit!!!

justbeme · 04/05/2007 16:07

You have such a nice way with words Westcoaster!!

sputnik · 04/05/2007 16:08

If I'd wanted to hear that I could've just asked DH!

sputnik · 04/05/2007 16:10

It was the full full full part that was worst. An I am paying her for this!

hollyandalice · 04/05/2007 16:11

JBM dps may be shit sometimes, but they are always good for a cuddle and a cry on! I love my dp! Aren't you clever growing spuds! I've planted some peas and broad beans and some tomatoes. I put about 10 peas in a big pot and only 2 have come up! Grrr....

Hahahaha...pooey sputnik!!

OP posts:
Daisybump · 04/05/2007 16:29

Shorts are lovely...but do slip down a bit....and yes I did!!

hollyandalice · 04/05/2007 16:32

Yeah, they fall down all the time, but I've come to terms with this being a major feature of all maternity trousers!

OP posts:
Daisybump · 04/05/2007 16:36

Not my yoga trousers from mothercare...they are lurvelly...wish I'd bought them sooner, but I know they'll do for the post-partum (I hate that expression) period.

Just been gooing over photos of DS and found one of me with him at 8 weeks and I'm still wearing a maternity t-shirt . Trying to convince myself that it was because it had a really cute slogan on it and I just loved to wear it, rather than having to wear it out of necessity
