Dont be - Holly he's lovely but its a real PITA having a dog - at least with a child they can go with you into shops etc and he's such a worry guts that when I leave the house he apprently stays looking out the window for me all the time!

annobal · 04/05/2007 12:09

Just had a text from my DD, she's off to a Caravan with her Dad and step mum and 2 step sisters today for the weekend. (maybe why Im feelin low) She made me laugh by saying that her stepmum has spent £50 on food - she "dont" have a clue!!.
I know its horrible but I like having one upmanship on her!!

Daisybump · 04/05/2007 12:35

Gosh JBM...your daughter is a stunner....she'll be beating the boys off with a stick soon. I didn't realise you're gonna have such a big gap...I thought 5 years was big enough. At least she'll be able to babysit in a couple of years.

Just bopped around the house to The Levellers, tidying and dusting as I went....and feel much much better now. We can start a new craze....aerohousework . mind you, feeling slightly breathless now, and a bit sick!!

sputnik · 04/05/2007 12:41

God, the Levellers, used to hang out with some of them back in my Brighton days

Daisybump · 04/05/2007 12:43

Ooooh...you groupie you...ever snog any of them, or were they just too grungy?

justbeme · 04/05/2007 12:46

Thanks Daisybump !!
She has actually got a BF would you believe - he looks about 9!!! But I remember those days and Im not worried as its just young love and they dont actually "go out".
I cant say too much as I remember learning how to french kiss whilst playing kiss chase in primary school!! (hussie!)

justbeme · 04/05/2007 12:52

God - I just checked my hospital notes and did a weight conversion on the LO and it comes back as 4.3 pounds!!!! aghhhhh - and Ive still got 8 weeks to go .
(I know its not 100%)

Daisybump · 04/05/2007 13:00

How do you do a weight conversion then JBM....what info do you need from your notes?

I didn't have my first proper boyfriend till I was about 15.....my they start young these days.

Daisybump · 04/05/2007 13:02

...even chocolate is giving me heartburn now...

justbeme · 04/05/2007 13:14

Well I had a scan yesterday and on the notes it says EFW (est fetal weight) - then on google I put weight converter and a site came up so entered 1963 gms anf it said 4lb 3 - so I think thats right!

Daisybump · 04/05/2007 13:18

Ahh...I've not had a scan since 20 weeks, so.....but my sister had a growth scan at 37 weeks as they were concerned and they told her that the baby was over 9lbs and she may have difficulty giving birth if he grew much more. she refused an induction, eventually went one week over, and he weighed in at 7lbs 13 ozs!!

justbeme · 04/05/2007 13:23

right im off now - ive done NOTHING today, mind venture outside into the sunshine and see how my veggies are doing!!
Mind you, Ive been waiting for some deliveries - nothin for the Lo though!!
Just had a load of bathroom tiles come and now waiting for a loo and sink! (all off EBAY).

annobal · 04/05/2007 13:49

DKMA - Wow - must have been quite a fight - I did look back but couldn't find the offending part - WHAT HAPPENNED?

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 04/05/2007 14:02

Be warned - you might get a bit rattled!!!

annobal · 04/05/2007 14:38

Thanks DKMA - have just seen the bits and pieces on the last thread - will have to roll my sleeves up and have a good read...

Subject now dropped but can I just say

BadZelda · 04/05/2007 15:18

Hello everybody - just back from meeting in town and realised that whilst I have been swanning around counting down to finishing 'office' job next week, I'd managed to ignore the ton of other work that has mounted up whilst I've been off being corporate whore. Oops! Expect comments about being chained to laptop for next 3 weeks....roll on 25th May. So I think I'll join in with you: ARSEEEEEEEEEEE!

R.e. Music: L.T.J. Bukem and the prodigy (smack my birth up)are currently at top volume on our stereo ;)
