9+5 today and my dreams are even stranger but a bit more enjoyable. I sold a windmill last night, not a normal one no, one that's a boat too. Easiest £200 I've made in ages!😂😂😂
Realised I need some pads for the mornings seeing as I peed a little on my way down to the loo this morning. Normal procedure for an old bird like me.
Anyone heard of vaginal mesh? Been a lot on the news recently.

Hortonlovesahoo · 23/01/2018 07:45

Morning all :) hope everyone has a good day!

@misshannah: I’d also ask for a longer prescription. Are you drinking enough water? I swear by eating pears when I’ve got a UTI.

ehealy · 23/01/2018 07:49

10 weeks and I fall asleep putting my little girl to bed and then wake 3 hours later and I'm awake for hours at night . We are currently trying to find somewhere to buy and it's proving very tricky. Money is tight this month as well and DD is very spirited at the moment. Poor little bean doesn't get much thought. So sorry to hear about the losses Mother Nature can be cruel.

E2017 · 23/01/2018 07:58

11 + 1 today getting closer to my scan on Monday. Still on anti sickness medication, still throwing up all the time, still trying and I suspect failing to hide this from work. Totally wiped out after 3 days of 12h shifts and 1 of 9. Hopefully will start feeling better soon as I even have to sit down to wash my hair now and end up out of breath. Even considered getting a short haircut the other day (my hair is nearly waist length so that would be very dramatic for me). How is everyone else doing? X

butterfly86 · 23/01/2018 08:14

Sorry to everyone who is still suffering with sickness, mine is a tiny bit better now I'm on 2 lots of Meds although still throwing up a couple of times a day and feel permanently nauseous but the doctor at the hospital did say it might help the vomiting but not the nausea. Main thing is im managing to keep a little food and fluids down. I haven't told work yet not sure how I manage it but I keep the sick in until I leave! When I had my booking app last week the midwife didn't mention the flu jab have you ladies had it?

WaitingforToto · 23/01/2018 08:23

I'm at the doctors now waiting for my flu jab. I feel for all you ladies with awful sickness, I must admit though that I wish I could have some sort of sign that I am pregnant as I still have zero symptoms and don't feel pregnant at all 😐 I'm having another scan tomorrow to check if things are as they should be.

Emmasmum2013 · 23/01/2018 08:56

@Stephiewoo
The dreams are crazy aren't they? I keep having cameo appearances from people in my past who I haven't even thought about in ages. The other night there was a girl I used to work with there and I seriously haven't thought about her in about 10 years. I was tempted to try and get back in touch with her but I can't find her anywhere :(
Might be a bit off anyway.. "Hi! remember me? I had a dream about you last night... " 😂😂😂

SpriteGirl · 23/01/2018 09:08

11 + 4 scan next Thursday. Cannot come soon enough but at the same time feels daunting.

@Stephiewoo based on what was in the press a while ago the vaginal mesh sounds quite scary. I can't remember the details now but haven't they partially banned it? and in some countries it's completely banned? They should be offering women physiotherapy etc first which they don't here. I read an article ages ago (completely unrelated to the mesh thing) about how all women in France are prescribed a course of physiotherapy post birth for there pelvic area.

@butterfly86 yes you need to have the flu jab. You should just be able to call your GPs surgery and they'll book you in.

@peterpanwendy how are you feeling today? Hope the anxiety isn't too bad xx

I've had so many weird dreams!

Beanmama18 · 23/01/2018 09:10

Thoughts are with you lovely ladies that have had losses.

@waitingforToto I'm with you on this. No symptoms at all. I should feel lucky but I'd quite like some sign to make me feel pregnant. And with no early scans and my first still 3 weeks away (even tho I'm 10 weeks tomorrow) some reassurance would be nice.

As for dreams I dreamt I had my little bean last night. But usually they are just completely off the wall and make no sense ha ha.

Emmasmum2013 · 23/01/2018 09:34

I read something the other day about dreams, that one part of your brain makes up the story and the other part experiences it. Which is why you can be totally surprised by plot twists that you've made up yourself.

RainbowsAndUnicorns23 · 23/01/2018 09:57

@misshannah I have a UTI at the moment too, tomorrow is my last day of antibiotics, but i still have the pain in my lower abdomen and bottom of Back!! If i feel the same in the morning i am ringing docs as mine was a 3 day course of nitrofurantion (not sure ive spelt that right!)

Its my 12 week scan this afternoon, feeling nervous and excited! Not sure how having a full bladder will go tho as if i need to go it starts to hurt with having this UTI! I am also undecided about wether to have the downs screening!?

So sad to read about the losses.. can be so cruel at times.

My nausea seems to of settled a bit now, thank goodness! But I am now full of cold, DS passed it on 😔

Emmasmum2013 · 23/01/2018 10:08

I remember a friend of mine saying that she didn't want the down's screening, because if it came back positive then they would ask inevitable "questions" and she didn't want that at all so it made no difference to her what the test said.

My approach was the opposite as I wanted to be know regardless. if the baby does have down's then it will have different needs and we wanted to know what we needed to do in order to be prepared.

Beanmama18 · 23/01/2018 10:15

@Emmasmum2013 that sounds very familiar.
I was of the same mind as your friend. Knowing my child has downs would not change anything so I wasn't too bothered about taking the test.

However my partner is of your opinion that at least we would have time to prepare for additional needs/support so we're going ahead and having the test :).

misshannah · 23/01/2018 10:54

@RainbowsAndUnicorns23 sorry to hear you also have a uti! It really sucks! Last time I was given amoxicillin for 7 days and this time I've got nitrofurantion for 7 days. Maybe go back this afternoon after your scan? It doesn't sound like your infection has gone.

Good luck with scan this afternoon!

Gizzymum · 23/01/2018 11:44

Sorry to hear about the recent losses Thanks

I had my bloods taken for NIPT today and got an early scan. They've confirmed EDD as 19/8 so am 10+2. We aren't telling friends until the 12w scan in 2 weeks time.

The sonographer thinks it's another boy but we will find out within a couple of weeks with the NIPT results.

WaitingforToto · 23/01/2018 11:56

I'm 10 weeks tomorrow too @Beanmama18 ! How strange that we are both having the same lack of symptoms Smile

k4rlyb · 23/01/2018 12:04

I'm a bit confused about the screening. I had a booklet that said I would have my scan, then have bloods and they would let me know by telephone/letter afterwards.

Would I be classed as higher risk as I'm 32, but would have just turned 33, 4 days before my due date. Should I be thinking about getting a harmony test or just to wait?

Stephiewoo · 23/01/2018 12:41

No Harmony tests or downs tests for me, I'm 39, but I've always gone with the saying what will be will be, everything happens for a reason.
I'm high risk on loads of scales, as mentioned earlier I also have a trans vaginal tape mesh in situ since I was 23, this will be my 3rd pregnancy but 2nd baby (all going well) with a bladder mesh sling!!!

RainbowsAndUnicorns23 · 23/01/2018 12:45

@misshannah make sure you eat before taking it! I didnt the first one i took and it made me feel so sick!! I ate afterwards thinking it wouldnt make a difference but it really does! Yes i don't think it is cleared either, and dont want to just stop taking when they've ran out for it to get worse.

Not long to go for my scan now, so nervous. I wish i could afford to have nipt test done! @gizzymum thats such a good picture!

SpriteGirl · 23/01/2018 12:54

Oh sorry @Stephiewoo I thought you were asking about vaginal mesh rather than saying you had one - I misunderstood your post. Must've sounded like a very dramatic response!

milney25 · 23/01/2018 13:07

@Gizzymum that's such a lovely photo!!

Emmasmum2013 · 23/01/2018 13:20

Awww @Gizzymum thats lovely!!!
I bet you can't wait to tell your friends :)

Stephiewoo · 23/01/2018 13:29

@SpriteGirl It's ok lovely, not a dramatic response at all!!! There's so many women who have had it and it's damaged them awfully. I feel lucky although not sure if mine works anymore anyway 😂

YouCantBeSirius · 23/01/2018 13:47

I got home this afternoon to a letter for my 20 week scan. I'm booked in for the 16th of March when I'll be 20+2 I think.

@Gizzymum lovely scan picture

BertieBotts · 23/01/2018 13:53

Yes you have to do physio after birth in Germany too. Everyone does it.
