Oh, and hope to see lots of new arrivals tomo - 29th - a really good day to have a baby ! Dd will be six... can't believe it is that long ago already! We have a huge chocolate fudge cake to eat, so I will think labour vibes for all who need them then. Saving the real party until Saturday as we didn't want to risk me/baby being late and still in hospital or something! Thankfully timing will be fine and we have an entertainer organised anyway so all I need to do is buy party food.
Have a good weekend everyone
xx

Happy Birthday!! - to your DD nelly - hopey ou have a super day tomrorow! I'll definitely try and have a LO for you .....

glitterkitty · 28/04/2007 15:10

Still no movement here- despite pineapple, special tea, vindaloo, and walking for 5 hours yesterday round a deserted forest with increasingly anxious dp, (not the best idea in the world, now I come to think of it!).

I feel really gloomy, sure I'll be the last person to pop alone on antenatal thread, talking to myself and eating ice...

Did anyone read that thread that said that ice craving is classic sign of iron deficiency? I didnt know that- now all is explained!

Congrats! to Tilli - and I knew Maveta was going to get hers out soon- am sooooo jealous I WANT MY BABY! stamps trotter and goes off in search of comfort food

Emmymummy · 28/04/2007 16:10

In a strange way it's kind of comforting to know that all of us hangers-on are feeling a bit gloomy. It really feels like we've been left behind and everyone else is off enjoying their babies. And I know we weren't even due until the end of April, but like GK says, it does feel like I too am gonna be the last one left here talking away to myself (and crunching ice ). I'm really not enjoying waking up each morning and thinking 'still here then?'.

Went shopping this morning and just felt like everyine was staring at my belly. Feel exhausted all the time but can't sleep properly etc. etc......

At least I know I am never going to do this again.....no I am NOT!

eca · 28/04/2007 18:26

Don't worry all you end of april antenatal girls, we wont abandon you! It must be hard having your due date right at the end. And if you end up on the May thread we'll be stalking you there for baby news

nellyhel · 28/04/2007 18:45

Congratulations Maveta - well done!! xx

Pesha · 28/04/2007 18:47

hi all. not caught up yet. not room really for baby and laptop on my lap!

CONGRATULATIONS to all who have had babies, will check emails properly later to see who that is.

Sorry for rubbish baby news from dp, think he was abit overwhelmed bless him! Also sorry bubblez for him texting you in the middle of the night, hope he didnt wake you up.

Baby is almost definitely going to be Dylan but still not quite sure and dont know what middle name. At the moment he is Squish, or Squish Delish is his full name

Dont really feeling like posting full birth story at the mo so wil save that for later (and should it be on here or post natal anyway? Or shall i be fancy and do a birth announcements thread?!) but it was much more painful than the other 2 but I felt much more in control than before so was positive in that sense

My milk only really came in last night so squish has been feeding constantly until now and crying lots with nothing really in between. Have had very little sleep but feeling ok just slightly blurry! He still hasnt done a poo since 2 meconium poos in hospital and his wee is orange so have been trying to get him to take bit of water too. Am hoping now i have plenty of milk he will soon cos he does get very upset with very bad tummy ache. But has been sleeping more today and has had some lovely alert happy times which we'd not had before, any awake times he was crying or being bounced up and down frantically to try and stop him crying! Have very supportive mws though who've not tried to suggest i give him formula which is a relief cos in my desperate sleepy state I could have been swayed. and lansinoh isbrilliant, nipples arev slightly cracked and sore but with last 2 they were bleeding and agony by now so definitely worth the ten pounds.

ok off to see if i can get pics sorted. i know my email list is wrong and i dont know if theres a quick way of updating it but it took me ages to do before so might just send pics to ellie and let her forward them on

CaptainDippy · 28/04/2007 18:49

Home from beach, girlies fed and now in bath with daddy. DD2 is a poorly little mite. All floppy and hot and subdued - like having another child, very weird ..... Not great timing either ..... sigh. Dosing her up with Calpol and hoping for a swift recovery ....

ANYWAY ......

Congratulations!! - To Maveta on the safe arrival of wee Noah - Hurrah - Well Done honey, stupendeous news - Looking forward to hearing more and seeing cutie pics ....

Not many of us left now ..... sigh ....

Take-away pizza and DVD tonight .... something to look forward to .... ....

[[Hugs]] to all grumpy, fed-up overdue ladies ......

CaptainDippy · 28/04/2007 18:51

Pesha - Lovely to "see" you, my darling - glad things are going ok with Squish Delish .... Dylan is a cute name ..... Looking forward to hearing more and seeing pics of the little Squish when you actually get a moment ......

elkiedee · 28/04/2007 18:51

Congratulations Maveta the queue jumper, though it sounds like a long and exhausting labour.

I planned days ago that we'd go out and choose a digital camera today if not, ahem, otherwise engaged, so we tried - there's a new Argos branch within walking distance and away from the big local shopping area, Wood Green - too much for me to handle, further to walk, difficult to get a bus home and get a seat from.

When we got there I realised that Argos has nowwhere to sit down (duh) but more ridiculously, I haven't got round in the last few weeks to sitting down and furnishing myself with even some information to choose between all those cameras. I know nothing about how to narrow down the choice, what my criteria should be, don't know what I'm thinking of. Mike sensibly suggested that we go away and research/think a bit more. My new mobile does contain a perfectly reasonable digital camera (which I have to learn to use, but I'm sure Mikey can do the honours for initial baby photos).

CaptainDippy · 28/04/2007 19:40

I think "something" might be happening; but then again - it could just be bad wind () - I'll try and update later ...... Off to have take-away pizza and DVD with DH - ....

Sexonknackeredlegs · 28/04/2007 19:44
