afraid to tell you Katy & GMM, i think you may have it wrong way round, 2nd babies are less likely to engage before labour

Wow Emmymummy - 12 years later and your photos are still in a shoebox?? That IS impressive I´ve actually made great headway with that project so it´s looking like it might actually get done . Will be nice to have a few of them framed so we can actually look at them from time to time!

Can´t say anything feels further on today and I am fast going through my list of things to do this week.. I have NO idea how I am going to pass the time next week if he hasn´t come yet..I am getting used to doing little and taking it easy (maybe too much so?) but still, need at least a couple of things to do here and there to stave off boredom.

Think dh and I are going to go out for dinner tomorrow night as a complete denial of it being my due date and nothing happening.. maybe a curry??

maveta · 24/04/2007 17:58

Ooops! Forgot to say GO ISABELLYMOI!! Such great news that you escaped induction! We´ll all be waiting for news, impatient as always...x

Emmymummy · 24/04/2007 18:10

Yup Maveta, photos are still in a box in the loft, and we have 100s of them! We also have a really lovely album to put them in, just never quite got round to doing it. We have just one wedding photo out on the sideboard, and that's it. It's a very nice photo though!

Well due date buddy, it's due-date-eve and I think we'll celebrate with a curry too(swiftly followed by a truck-load of Gaviscon). I might even have to have sex - desperate times call for desperate measures!

maveta · 24/04/2007 18:16

I have a morbid fear of photos building up. My Mum has always had a trunk - yes a TRUNK - of loose photos needing to be sorted and put in albums from 1970 something onwards. Truly terrifying. I live in fear that will be me and seeing as since 2004 all of our photos (EXCEPT wedding ones) are on the computer, I´ve really been trying to sort out the relatively few hard copies that I have lying around.

Sex. Yes. Well we did that the other night and as you can see the success was extremely limited (yes dear apart from being mind blowingly fantastic in its own right, of course - says maveta to dh ). And for some reason lately my chat up line of ´hey baby, fancy provoking labour?´ isn´t really making him all too hot. Even without saying it, he knows he´s being used

Sexonknackeredlegs · 24/04/2007 18:30

Good luck Isabelly - PUSH!!!!

Emmymummy · 24/04/2007 18:31

Lol Maveta. I don't think my dh will actually mind being used for that reason! At least it will make him feel useful!

maveta · 24/04/2007 18:35

Emmymummy - ah but my dh is really quite a sensitive little flower.. besides he´s off playing with his band tonight and won´t be back til late.. hopefully I can jump him tomorrow.

Thanks Luce - Good to "see" you - Look forward to joining you soon!

Katy44 · 24/04/2007 19:56

Thanks everyone, that sounds hopeful!
Now does anyone know what to do with an alarm that won't stop beeing and a DH who wakes at the slightest sound??

Katy44 · 24/04/2007 20:09

Am fed up
By the way, the alarm won't stop beeping, not beeing

Emmymummy · 24/04/2007 20:11

Katy - chuck it out of the window?

Dh has has gone out to get a yummy Thai curry for us . Might as well make the most of being able to stuff my face for the last few days (she said optimistically).

Pinions · 24/04/2007 20:20

Dippy - Saw this and made me think of you . Not that you're BF (yet) but the slide bit!

By Jenkeywoo on Fri 06-Apr-07 18:35:47
Today we went to a farm park and there is an adventure playground bit - I saw a toddler come down a giant slide, followed by a mum with babe in arms... who was breastfeeding! I was so impressed and I told her so.

The coolest public breastfeeding ever...

Katy44 · 24/04/2007 20:57

YAY! We've figured out it only beeps when we trigger the sensor in the kitchen! So it shouldn't beep all darn night!
Off to stealthily sneak in for some easter egg!!
Emmymummy, enjoy your curry

EllieKthePA · 24/04/2007 20:59

i thought you meant an alarm clock Katy

took a while to work out why it would have a sensor in the kitchen

OP posts:
Katy44 · 24/04/2007 21:03

Ah, I'm not at my most coherent at the moment
No, our house alarm.
Anyway, I'm now dressed in my big fluffy white dressing gown, trying to sneak around in the kitchen to avoid the beeps - keep leaping out and shouting at DH "STEALTH POLAR BEAR!!!"

EllieKthePA · 24/04/2007 21:16

EllieKthePA · 24/04/2007 21:16

bet you're popular with the neighbours

OP posts:
Katy44 · 24/04/2007 21:24

Well actually we are! Neighbours on 2 sides (we kind of back on to 3 of their gardens) have replaced smaller fences with 6 foot ones cos they like us so much!

EllieKthePA · 24/04/2007 21:38

just you wait til there's a baby screaming all night, watch those fences spring up!
