Aw bless him, mummy is mean!!!!

Bugmum · 25/04/2007 11:42

Quick dash inEllie - nooooooooo, he looks like a lickle pixie!

Still nothing doing here. Vibes to all, and [[hugs]] to CD as she needs them

xx

EllieKthePA · 25/04/2007 11:42

but he does!
he's cute, but that doesn't stop the monkey-ness showing thru!

he looks like matthew most of the time, so that'd be my genes, then the weird looking bit must be from his father

Has everyone seen SOL's birth announcement?

EllieKthePA · 25/04/2007 11:47

thanks Katy

she did that on the sly

Both it sounds like - giving birth and the announcement!
From zero to baby in 2 hours 15 minutes...

Emmymummy · 25/04/2007 11:49

Back again - Ooooppps CD I dropped the tortoise! Never mind, he's having a lovely time in the meadow now, I can see the dandelions slowly disappearing!

MW has just been (I know I'm v. lucky that she comes here to visit). Had am examination, head definately engaged, and cervix shortened....could be any time. She's given me her home phone no. so I can call her if it kicks off tonight (she wants to be there as she delivered Emily). Please let that be a good omen......[praying emoticon].

Penelope - congratulations on the arrival of your little boy. Looking forward to hearing the details.

Ellie - you are mean mummy - Joe is beautiful!

Katy44 · 25/04/2007 11:50

Emmymummy
I hope they work as I can't spare many!

Emmymummy · 25/04/2007 11:52

Thanks Katy! That's very generous of you...

Emmymummy · 25/04/2007 11:53

Here you go Katy this could be your baby - OK it's in German, but the pics are very cute.

Katy44 · 25/04/2007 11:55

Oh wow, can I change my mind and have one of those instead of a baby?
(Only joking Bump!)

EllieKthePA · 25/04/2007 11:55

i know

but they both still love me

and my bro didn't do too badly on my child-rearing skills (if you count being kicked out of school at 14 as not bad!)

EllieKthePA · 25/04/2007 11:56

How is Skott anyway, Ellie, we were quite enjoying having him around?!

EllieKthePA · 25/04/2007 11:57

there's a baby in the house so he's keeping his distance

OP posts:
EllieKthePA · 25/04/2007 11:58

tho the choc wrappers by the computer suggested to me that he'd let himself in when we were out

OP posts:
Emmymummy · 25/04/2007 11:59

I thought Skott would be pretty good with kids - I bet he secretly wants to come over and look after them both

Katy44 · 25/04/2007 12:01

I like this thread!

EllieKthePA · 25/04/2007 12:02

he's excellent with children, he just doesn't do babies!

once they can respond to stuff and play with toys he's fine!

meanwhiile, he'll babysit for matthew but Joe has to go with me

That's a good one to watch Katy. Wholeheartedly agree with comment about not wanting dh to read MN - he would be horrified to read some of the comments I'd posted.

Ellie - that's great that Skott enjoys spending time with Matthew. I adore watching my own brother with Emily as he reverts to being such a child when he's with her and she loves it. She kind of brings him down to her mentality, and I can imagine Matthew doing the same with Skott IYSWIM.

EllieKthePA · 25/04/2007 12:15

Skott has never moved on from Matthew's mentality

Emmymummy · 25/04/2007 12:16

. My bro is the same. He's almost 40!

EllieKthePA · 25/04/2007 12:16

this is the thread that started the other one off

I can't believe that thread title that was deleted! ROFL as I have to agree with it!

My friend just sent me a little story that I thought Bigonion might enjoy.....

I have a big dog & I was buying a large bag of Winalot in Tesco and was standing in the queue at the till.

A woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

On impulse, I told her that no, I was starting The Winalot Diet again, although I probably shouldn't because I'd ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and the way that it works is to load your trouser pockets with Winalot nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry & that the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again.

I have to mention here that practically everyone in the queue was by now enthralled with my story, particularly a guy who was behind her.

Horrified, she asked if I'd ended up in the hospital in that condition because I had been poisoned.

I told her no, it was because I'd been sitting in the road licking my balls and a car hit me.

I thought one guy was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard as he staggered out the door.

Stupid cow..........why else would I buy dog food??
