I wish I was so sure, one of my cats has been demanding regular cuddles for several months - she was never this soppy before I was pregnant! Although maybe her affection is a little too aggressive to be entirely relaxing, she tends to start trying to bite my face if I don't keep stroking her.

CaptainDippy · 24/04/2007 13:46

Well you would have to go one step further than me, wouldn't you, Ellie! I only posted the link for the hotdeals website ....

Hello - am now working ..... pleeeeeease talk to me!

Glad your TENS arrived ok maveta!

CaptainDippy · 24/04/2007 13:47

Your cat sounds a bit like my daughter, Elkie!!

CaptainDippy · 24/04/2007 13:52

Has anyone nitice that Emmymummy hasn't been on since half 8 this morning ... Mmmmmmm ..... Where are you hiding???

eca · 24/04/2007 14:14

hi lovely ladies

T's just having a nap so I thought I'd sneak on here and see what baby action we have today!!!

CONGRATULATIONS PESHA !! woohoo!! Can't wait to hear all the details (you can tell that text was a bloke, no details! Women need details!!)

Bugmum - mw couldn't do me a sweep because my cervix was so unripe 36 hours before I had ds. Could you face sex??? We did it 4 times (coz I was feeling desperate!!! HA HA! Hadn't let dh near me until then!), and the mw said that 7 times would give you the same amount of the drug they use to induce you. Lots of love and labour vibes to you. REALLY hope that you get your vbac xxxxxxxxxx Also, LOL at ds licking your bump. My friend had a baby and 4yr old ds creeps up to meet him and says "can I lick him?" Ha ha ha!! xx

Hi CD hope you're having a good day at work and being surrounded by all those baby things gets the labour hormones flowing! My sis had her 2 early and couldn't understand the whole annoying waiting bit at the end. I guess you're getting the full pregnancy experience now!

Hi Ellie - glad to hear you're feeling better today xxx LOL that you found the code, you are superwoman!!

Hi Maveta, Katy, bumble, elkidee and anyone else whose around today!

eca · 24/04/2007 14:17

has isabellymoi been on for a while????? Maybe she's finally having the baby!!

bubblez · 24/04/2007 14:29

Hiya all the waiting mummies,

I didn't want to post on mumsnet again without wishing you lots and lots of

I forgot to mention before that ten mins before i went into labour i had fresh pineapple (prob just a coinsidence though).... as they say every little helps... Oh and I had done a lot of walking too (although i didnt have any intentions of bringin on labour). Hope it works for someone else here.

CaptainDippy · 24/04/2007 14:39

Hi Eca & bubblez!!

Nope. Can't face sex just yet ....

AngeG · 24/04/2007 14:56

Hello all

Haven't had a chance to catch up yet, but wanted to post to say hello to everyone. My internet has been down for a week I've missed you all so much.

All ok with us here. Unfortunately I've had mastitus, but have managed to keep breastfeeding and it's all settled down now. Izzy has been really unsettled as a result of the antibiotics, but have finshed them today, so am hoping she will settle down.

I am still allowed to post on here??? Or should I be posting this on the post natal thread??? Sorry I've been away so long I don't know what the etiquette (sp) is.

Lots of Love to you all and lots of Labour vibes to those still waiting. Back later xxxxx

Katy44 · 24/04/2007 15:11

AngeG - we're glad to hear from you!
Sorry to hear you've had mastitis, but pleased you seem to be over the worst of it now.
Thanks for the labour vibes - I need them!!

Bramshott · 24/04/2007 15:17

Ellie - thanks, you are a complete star!! I should have known that if anyone could find it / had it, you could!

Ange - I've been posting (albeit briefly and without catching up on everything!) on both threads as they're both 'ours' iyswim?! Won't be long before we are all together in the post-natal world and no time to post! Only trouble with this one is that if you miss a day, the chatty girls have been through three new threads already!

geordiemacminx · 24/04/2007 15:30

ok so there is a due in Jan 08 thread now.....

Katy44 · 24/04/2007 15:53

Baby is no more engaged and MW thinks I'll be back for next appointment this time next week

LesleyR · 24/04/2007 15:53

Just a quickie. far too hectic on here for my befuddled not-enough-sleep brain.

CONGRATULATIONS Pesha! LOL at lack of detail on text from your DP. I had to write down which details my DH had to send to people when George was born.

Off for afternoon snooze now before ILs arrive at teatime.

ooops did say i haven't had enough sleep!

geordiemacminx · 24/04/2007 16:03

katy - i'm sure i have read that first time babies sometimes dont engage until labour?

i know how fed up you probably are - i'm the same, have eaten3 pineapples, had reflexology, curry, RLT by the bucket load, get this - I went to the local park yesterday and drove over the 8 speed bumps that are there... not once but 8 TIMES!!!!!

I'm sure it wont be much longer for either of us, and impaitent as I am I keep thinking that a week or so is nowt in the grand scheme of things!!!!

Just keep planning lots of things for you to do - I am, as this is the last week I will probably ever have to myself!!!!!

Katy44 · 24/04/2007 16:09

You must have looked really lost driving back over the same route again and again!
I know, I'd heard that too, but she seemed to think I'd still be around. Think if I assume nothing will happen before next Monday it will be a lot easier to take, but waking up every morning thinking "is this is?" is depressing
Sorry to be a misery Everything else was fine so I'm glad really, just disappointed. And have to buy some bigger socks if I'm going to be putting them on and off for another week!

Emmymummy · 24/04/2007 16:16

Hello!! No CD I didn't sneak off to have a baby unfortunately . Had my NCT group over this morning, 3 of whom have had their babies, so was able to have lovely cuddles (including getting puked all over - ahhhh it's all coming back). Dh was here and was also cooing - actually think he's more broody than I am. Sweet.

Maveta - I had to laugh about you wanting to sort out your wedding photos before your 2nd anniversary. I've still got to do ours, and we got married in 1995!

Have also been for a waddle around M&S - feeling very uncomfortable now. Come on babies...it's nearly May, this is quite simply not good enough. Can't believe there is a 'due in Jan 2008' thread BTW....thank goodness we don't have to be pregnant/have MS through the summer like those ladies .

geordiemacminx · 24/04/2007 16:16

I probably looked worse than lost.... there is a big lake in the middle with various car parks round it, one is for dogging, one for gay sex... you get the idea!!!!

I went to asda today and 2 people said I was carrying low and that it wont be long, then in next the woman in front of me let me go first as she said I looked ready to drop - could have kissed them all!!!

I dont have an appointment til monday when she is gonna do a sweep - if she tells me that I'm not ready I dont think I will be responsible for my actions - I will be giving birth in frankland I think!!!

Emmymummy · 24/04/2007 16:48

Am still eating the labour cake by the way - how much do I need to eat before it has any effect????

Katy44 · 24/04/2007 16:58

How have you got a sweep before me when you're due after me? I'm going to complain to someone HIGH UP!

geordiemacminx · 24/04/2007 17:00

I think the miwife saw the size of my bump and took pity on me....

Different health authorities have different regulations as well you know missy!!! I would complain to your local PCT [grim]

AngeG · 24/04/2007 17:12

Still haven't had a chance to catch up...don't think I'll manage it to be honest.

UPDATE

Just had a text from Mr Isabelly

"isabelly is in labour since 7 this morning. Narrowly avoided induction thus far. Doing well. Sucking back the gas and air like a hoover.

Katy44 · 24/04/2007 17:15

How exciting! Baby news to follow hopefully soon.
