Thanks Clare. Are you having twins? That's amazing. And funny that your little one is such a wriggler.

I'm 15 weeks on Sunday. I have my 16 week appointment and Doppler on 4th Jan and 20 week scan on 26th Jan. I've never been so excited for the New Year.

Xx

ClareB83 · 22/12/2017 20:58

Yes it's twins. Twin one hides at the back but in perfect poses. Twin two is right at the front but wriggles like mad, often giving twin 1 a good kicking!

Yes new year should b v exciting. We're getting married on 27th and then off on honeymoon for a few days. Even at just 22 weeks with twins I'm thinking I may get need a bigger bikini!

Hi,

Been lurking on this thread for a while, it’s taking a while for the whole pregnancy to feel real. Feeling like a support network would help. 14+5 today so due 18/6 and in the process of visiting all my family to tell them. Had the 12 week scan last week.

Nice to meet you all!

Hello everyone please may I join your thread? I'm due with DC3 in 5th June but likely to be C Section so will have actual baby at the very end of May.

Harri161 · 23/12/2017 10:33

Congratulations @skenn3285 and @georgie262

I'm due 17/6 @skenn3285 😊

ClareB83 · 23/12/2017 10:38

Hi @georgie262 you're not alone my EDD is 1st June but with twins there's a good chance they'll be here early too. Welcome!

Anyone else had a fitting for a maternity bra? I was absolutely gobsmacked at how many cup sizes I'd grown!

Harri161 · 23/12/2017 15:54

I haven't yet @SylvesterTheCat
I need to though. I'm just wearing stretchy crop top trypsin bras at the moment. Not very glamorous but comfy 😂

meow1989 · 23/12/2017 16:05

I can't remember if I've joined already or not! Anyway I'm due June 22 and am 14+1 😊 found my first stretch mark on my boob today and am horrified! I have gone up a cup size (and stopped wearing underworld bras about 2 months ago because they are the devil!)
I'm also super itchy- keep getting little patches (forearm, above hips etc) of tiny raised bumps and it's driving me crazy!
Is anyone having an early gender (sex, whatever) scan at 16 weeks? I know it's only 4 weeks before the nhs anomaly scan but I want to know!
Hope everyone is well

georgie262 · 23/12/2017 18:11

@ClareB83 how exciting for you. Do you have any other children? My SIL had identical twin girls last year they were born at35+3 I think and were teeny tiny but oh so perfect.

georgie262 · 23/12/2017 18:13

@meow1989 I'm happy to wait til 20 wks. I already have one of each so happy to wait. Do you have a secret preference? X

meow1989 · 23/12/2017 18:15

@georgie262 I'd be delighted with either, I'm one of two girls so have always imagined having a girl so think if it's a boy that's wonderful but need to get my head around it! As long as baby is healthy I genuinely don't mind.

ClareB83 · 23/12/2017 18:28

These will be our first children, so it'll be new x 2.

@Harri161 I was wearing stretchy crop tops (sleep/nursing bras) from Jojo Maman Bebe and yes they were super comfy. I'd been meaning to get a proper bra fitting for a while but kept putting it off for some reason (slightly embarrassed/self conscious maybe. Also wondered if I should just leave it until I was further into pregnancy).
I've gone from a B cup to a bloody H cup! Couldn't believe it. But wow the proper bra feels so so so much better and my silhouette is better than with the crop tops. I would highly recommend getting a proper fitting sooner rather than later.
If I realised I had grown that much I would have done this much earlier.

georgie262 · 23/12/2017 19:09

Where did you get fitted @SylvesterTheCat

SylvesterTheCat · 23/12/2017 23:00

Debenhams in Birmingham @georgie262

GeekyHybrid · 23/12/2017 23:10

Gosh, welcome to more newbies. I don't feel quite so silly having lurked and then joined so late now.
I'm suddenly feeling quite pregnant now rather than just icky, I'm sure my belly has 'popped' in the last day or two and I'm now very grateful it's baggy jumper weather. Two days of mad errands and shopping and I'm looking forward to not really going anywhere tomorrow. Though there is the whole house to clean. Bums

georgie262 · 24/12/2017 09:44

I've been up all night vomiting with some kind of sickness bug. Lying in bed stressing as moving make. E sick but I've still a bit to do. DH does not seem to be coping well with the 2 kids downstairs. I think he's just washed and brushed 2 yo DD's CURLY hair without any conditioner- she's screaming blue murder. Has anyone else been struck with the dreaded stomach flu virus? It really seems to be doing the rounds this year

SylvesterTheCat · 24/12/2017 15:13

Anyone else bought any maternity clothes?

I'm hoping not to spend too much and will search on eBay etc but it would be nice to try clothes on in stores to get an idea of what suits me but maternity lines all seem to be online these days.

Sleeeeeepy · 24/12/2017 16:55

Some H&M branches have maternity, not necessarily the bigger ones bizarrely. Mothercare you can try on but the range is quite small, Jojo you can try on but again small range and it's expensive. Other than that everything round here (Midlands) is online

SylvesterTheCat · 24/12/2017 22:16

Thank you sleeeepy. So I guess it's going to be an eBay shopping spree then!

Hope you all have a really lovely Christmas.

ClareB83 · 26/12/2017 11:33

Hope everyone had a merry Christmas. We revealed to family that we had a gender scan and are having two little boys. This was my Mums prediction anyway and my OH.

I also told all my hometown friends which was lovely and found out one of them is due around the same time (I think after trying for a year or so), which is lovely.

This will make four grandsons (and no girls) on my OH's side so they're not quite as overjoyed. I hope they buck up.

We'r very happy. Although as the only child of a single mother I had always imagined myself with a daughter so it has taken a little adjusting. Esp as we only ever talked about having two children. We'll probably talk ourselves into one more and end up with another set of twin boys!! Start a boy band.

Now it's time to start thinking of names.

Merry Christmas all. 🎄

@ClareB83 how lovely to have twin boys are they identical or fraternal? Sorry if I have missed this previously?

ClareB83 · 26/12/2017 13:48

Most likely fraternal as they have their own sacs and placenta.
