oh - she is coming to the house to do it then????

i know what you mean about comments and size of bump. personally i think pg women and bumps are beaut - and in the past wasa bit fascinated by them so possibly stared in envy without really thinking about how she might have felt. dh is my eyes on this one - he cant believe either how people react to it and nealt belted 2 neds yesterday for saying that i was gonna pop.

any good jesus movies on telly yet?????

weeonion · 08/04/2007 07:26

sorry - just realied the movie comment may have seemed a bit weird - i meant that even this early on easter sunday morning - there might be a movie on to veg in front of.....

all very quiet on here - no babies about to arrive?? my mw said we need a storm - apparently our waters are more likely to pop when they is rain on the way. not that i am looking for rain of course!
ellie - by the way - what did they say at yr scan the other morning. i must have missed that in all the posts!

Eddas · 08/04/2007 07:36

Thought you might just like Jesus films WO, they are my fav too

No need for me to worry about what's on as dd has her usual, Shark Tale, on for the millionth time. But it's keeping her amused so who cares

Yep sweep will be here and am really really looking forward to it The only thing preventing me from cancelling is the prospect of it working and making the baby come out!!!!

EllieKthePA · 08/04/2007 07:41

no scan WO, they just put me back on the monitor and his h/beat and movements were fine so i was sent home again.

he's been fine since, but to wriggling so not worrying me!

off to put washing on the line then go car booting! back later x

i love jesus films - have done since a kid but then again when i was wee - i thought jesus was around with the dinosaurs and greek mythology. never too good on religious studies! my fav line in a movie is - "thats not jesus - hes just a fella" from "Whistle down the wind. i left a psychology exam in 1st year after 1 hr to go home and watch it... wise move.

a friend had a sweep last week and yep - it got things moving along nicely so eyes / ears etc crossed for you.

i have still over a week to go - went for another mammoth trek across glasgow yesterday before realsing that i really am too big and tired to manage it. i thik dp thinks i am some kind of amazonian women who will pop the baby out before continuing to make dinner and painting the shelves i have just put up. he will learn.

ar you sitting with yr feet up watching sharks tale too??

weeonion · 08/04/2007 07:49

ellie - glad to hear that he is ok. you take it easy at car booting - dont be lugging too much baby stuff around on yr own!

Morning. kids slept to 7:15, I dozed for another half another - absolute luxury and for once a good start for a Sunday !

Was having a fantastic dream - one of those really realistic ones - in hospital, had had baby (didn't dream about that bit!), he was snuggled up in cot and had slept all night, as had I. He was just gorgeous. Boy was I disappointed when I came to and realised he's still inside! But hoping it's a premonition of the real event and I'm getting a good sleeper .

Lesley - to hear about your friend. Hope you get through it ok.

LOL at the online labour the other night, congratulations to Pinions. And thanks to others for photos, they are all beautiful!

And yes, DHs have no idea. I got told off for moving stuff yesterday but have been doing so all week as am fed up asking and things not getting done. And the furniture I moved was lighter than the wet washing I carry outside about everyday!

I should get on now, kids want fed. DD and I dyed some eggs yesterday to hide in garden, see if ds believes the Easter Bunny hid them (dd did last year but no chance this time... they grow up too fast!). Them my mum is cooking us dinner - yippee a night off the kitchen!

geordiemacminx · 08/04/2007 08:30

morning ladies!!!

wide awake here too.... did far too much gardening yesterday so now cant really walk - silly me!!!

still no more babies??? i would have loved mine to come this weekend as we have my family coming today then billys coming tomorrow..but well he sems quite comfy in there!!!

Eddas · 08/04/2007 08:34

Am pleased when i hear good stories re sweeps. Hope i can add to them.Think i can have more than one though, is that right? So so hoping to avoid being induced on the 16th.

We might be off to car boot sale soon too Ellie. DH has just neen rudely awoken by screaming dd and me. She started for no reason and had to send her to her room, little madam!!

I told her she had now woken daddy. He walked out of the toilet and her first words to him were 'i'm sorry for waking you daddy, i didn't mean to' All angelic faced i'd imagine little monkey! Not too much of a daddy's princess?

Seen shark tale far too much, so didn't watch it. Caught up with mn and my emails instead

Lucewheel, i really sympathise with the house moving. I've said before but we moved in July and I packed the whole house pretty much. Can't even think of being able to do it now being so pg. Mind you I was humping stuff around not knowing i was two weeks pg on moving day, oops!!

Katy44 · 08/04/2007 08:49

CONGRATULATIONS PINIONS
I'm trying to have a look at baby Theo but my hotmail's playing up!

nuttygirl · 08/04/2007 08:50

Morning all

DH decided he was wide awake at 7.30 so I suggested he get on with the bonfire (we've got loads of branches that my dad shoved behind our back fence and the guy who's doing our new fences wants rid of it before he starts). Thought at this time of day neighbours don't have washing out so it would be quite convenient. Anyway, couldn't get back to sleep so I've got up too. No idea what to do today...the shops aren't open . What do people do when there's no shops open????

Eddas - good luck for the sweep tomorrow. I get one on Thurs if LO hasn't arrived. I have to ring my mw between 9 & 9.30 to find out when she'll do it (got the impression she's coming to my house but not entirely sure) so DH is gonna organise working from home that day.

Katy44 · 08/04/2007 09:03

Morning everyone
CD and octo - how are you both this morning?
LesleyR - so sorry to hear your news. Hope you are OK.
I feel like I've been away from MN for years!!

CaptainDippy · 08/04/2007 09:04

Morning! Things seem to have settled down again - not feeling so sicky and windy () as I did yesterday - finding it easier to move etc - not so heavy - Perhaps the baby just moved awkwardly for a day and has shifted back into it's "comfort zone" again ..... Really thought yesterday could be "the day" .... guess I'll just have to keep waiting ..... Come on someone else, have a baby to take my mind off things ....

Feeling a bit (blue} this morning, may be cos the stuff that was happening yesterday has amounted nothing; I am not sure....

DH called MIL yesterday to have a wee chat with her. Just as I thought - COMPLETELY unhelpful phone conversation ensued. She explained that she is "not as young as she used to be" and that she "has a pain in her hip, a pain in her thigh and a pain in her thumb atm, but she hasn't told anyone." She just finds it easier and less physically demanding to have each of the girls on their own (yeah, GO FIGURE!!!!); but "if there is an emergency, then she would pull out all the stops" ..... I don't want her to "pull out all the stops" - WHAT!!!!? It's not an "emergency" - I am just having another baby, for goodness sake!! She also said if it was "an emergency", then DH's dad would also muck in and help too, so it would not be so bad / hard. I am just feeling so frustrated, and ...... They are not OLD ..... DH's dad is nearly 61 and DH's mum is 58 and they are very physically active. They both cycle everywhere and they go on National Trust holidays fixing fences and cutting down trees - They are constantly in the garden digging etc or in the house decorating ...... Physically demanding .... my arse!!! Grrrrrrrrr! I just feel like saying "forget it" and finding other people who won't moan to look after the DD's. I can't believe they won't look after them for an afternoon on the excuse that "they are not as young as they used to be" - I am not asking them to have them for a week, or even overnight ...... I just want a break - I want to see my hubby - I want to get on with stuff that we can't do when they are here. MIL also expressed concern about how early they get up (atm about 6.30am ish) and how she will be able to cope with the tiredness ........

Final straw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am going to go and have a shower to cool off before I scare you all away ......

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 08/04/2007 09:05

Morning all.

Nutty, pmsl at "what do you do when the shops aren't open"!! Our Tesco garage is open but that is about it. Will have to visit it as have not got enough bloody cat food!

Octo/CD, how are you both today?

Good luck with the sweep Eddas.

Had a nice lie in, as B wasn't awake until 8.00, but slept terribly, so feel like a space cadet.

Hope everyone else is ok.

Happy Easter and hope you all get loads of eggs!

xx

CaptainDippy · 08/04/2007 09:05

Waiting to hear news on Octo ...... Hoep it was "the real thing" last night - bless her!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 08/04/2007 09:09

x posted CD. Glad you are ok, although obviously frustrating that it wasn't "it".

I felt so cross reading your post about the mil and her unhelpful atitude. Honestly - I would be raging too. Can you get someone else instead, and just sod her? I would be tempted to I have to say. She sounds a bit of a martyr to me, and I can't bear people like that.

nuttygirl · 08/04/2007 09:10

No news from Octo.

PMSL @ DH who has singed (don't know how to spell that) his hair!!!!

CaptainDippy · 08/04/2007 09:11

Agreed, SOSPL - think we might just "sid her" tbh - must go and have shower ....

CaptainDippy · 08/04/2007 09:11

Whoops! SOD HER!!

It's that word again ......
