ooohhh, I forgot about clary sage oil - where can I get it from? Have been taking raspberry leaf tea. Not sure if its actually doing anything right now, but is meant to help you have a better labour

Bugmum · 08/04/2007 22:18

whywhywhy - I teach university-level students, which might explain why I really don't find any bloke younger than me really sexy! I can see that they are attractive, but in a kind of distant way.

Welcome, by the way!

EllieKthePA · 08/04/2007 22:19

ooh, no, Ange and 1b3 are both with much older dh's, i think

OP posts:
runnyhabbit · 08/04/2007 22:20

I might be a bit odd though, because I'm the only person I know that actually likes drinking the tea.

Bugmum · 08/04/2007 22:21

I ought to go to bed when this prog finishes. Feel very restless. Anyway, before I go just wanted to wish Octo a productive or peaceful night!

zazas · 08/04/2007 22:23

whywhywhy - yep I am! Eaten a pineapple, had a curry last night, long walk today and DP and I have been active! Have Caulophylum but are hesitant to use it yet - seems to be one that you shouldn't take regularly? Think I will forgo the three hours of nipple stimulation that has been suggested!

Other than that... With my previous 2 my first sign was my waters breaking in the middle of the night - so I kind of expecting that again but who knows!

whywhywhy · 08/04/2007 22:24

octo agree, I'm starting to want to be induced! Although I hear it's so much more painful than natural childbirth which I had with ds1.

bugmum I teach uni students too- I can honestly say I've never fancied any of my students, they just seem too young (even the mature ones heh heh) BUT found myself leering horribly at the recent pics of Daniel Radcliffe and I always have gone for the boyish fey type.(dh used to be like that, sigh...)

EllieKthePA · 08/04/2007 22:24

WO octo

can youu check your emails please

did everyone else get the isobelle pics?

OP posts:
octo · 08/04/2007 22:25

Night night all xoxoxoxox

whywhywhy · 08/04/2007 22:26

zazas do you know what the dosage of caullophyllum ought to be? I am recklessly taking 2x per day. Doesn't seem to be doing anything though.

I am having pineapple every day and saw a reflexologist last week who did all my 'stimulating points'- actually maybe that's why I had all those twinges yesterday and the day before? who knows....

Bugmum · 08/04/2007 22:26

www - Each to her own!

Ellie - I did, thanks. She's lovely.

Right, night all. Vibes all round xx

runnyhabbit · 08/04/2007 22:27

OP posts:

Katy44 · 08/04/2007 22:30

CD - your DH has no bum?!
Ellie, got the Isobelle pics, thanks
Hello whywhywhy!

weeonion · 08/04/2007 22:32

pants- am i the only one still not getting pics??

octo - ta for asking but the pain is still there. will get it checked at day care unittomorro but someone suggested a torn/ split muscle?? ah well!

i work with all gay men - plenty of potential letching there but once you seen one pretty face and all that..... never had a thing for younger men since my twenties. my first crush was john travolta in grease when i was about 6 - still there to this day......

EllieKthePA · 08/04/2007 22:32

i think CD meant it was kinda flat IYSWIM

OP posts:
runnyhabbit · 08/04/2007 22:35

WO - Know what you mean about John Travolta. Did you see him dancing on Jonathan Ross the other week - that man can still move!!

weeonion · 08/04/2007 22:36

damn - i missed it!
runny - i also like the tea - normally herbal teas make me gag but this one is ok. no good caffeine hit from it tho'!

zazas · 08/04/2007 22:39

Here is the info on Caulophylum 200c - "Used for efforts with no results.

Sometimes needed in first stages of labour to establish strong productive contractions. Use when contractions are short, ineffective, spasmodic, no consistency, pains fly from one place to another. Sometimes they will slow or stop to exhaustion. Cervix fails to dilate. Symptoms may include shivering, chilliness, trembling and irratable. Take ONE does only, repeat if needed but do not use routinely"

Mine are part of my birthing kit runnyhair. Which I bought from a Homoeopathist directly - not sure where you can buy it over the counter. Actually reading what I just wrote maybe I should have one - except I can't really say I am having proper contractions yet - just lots of twinges / stabs etc but I am irratable!!!!!

whywhywhy · 08/04/2007 22:39

runny caullophyllum is available in health stores which do homeopathic remedies.

night octo & others, sleep tight, hope you are only woken by breaking waters etc!

onion agree about the gay men, I prefer them straight but a bit camp! no one could accuse my dh of dressing well

whywhywhy · 08/04/2007 22:41

hmm thanks zazas- looks like I needn't be bothering with it yet then...

ellie could you let me know what I need to do to get pics?

going to drag my massive bump off to bed now night all

EllieKthePA · 08/04/2007 22:44

you found us then!

it's a bit quiet on here this afternoon, everyone's out in the sunshine

there are 2 stats threads, this one has details of our ages/families etc

and this one has details of due dates/babies born etc

we also have an email group set up so if you've been offline for a few days you can just check your email to catch up (i send an email out when anything important happens!). if you want to be added on send me an email [email protected]

The threads move very quickly sometimes, the last one only lasted us 24 hours but that's just cos we're such a chatty, friendly bunch

oh, and we often get into trouble for having 'offensive' thread titles

WELCOME

the links are in the original post to the stats threads x
