maveta · 08/04/2007 16:53

Sorry, forgot to say Hi Ange! Glad you are home, hope everything is going well and you are enjoying your wee one, thanks for passing on the message x

whywhywhy · 08/04/2007 17:18

hi everybody
somehow I've managed to miss out on this thread- posted on another and met EllieK and Octo who seems to be going through the same on off (non) labour pains as me!

I'm officially due on Monday the 9th. Not a sausage of a twinge since yesterday and I am sooooo huge I just don't think this baby can fit in my abdomen much longer.

Was anyone else's second (much) later than their first? DS1 was born 39 +5, I was expecting this one earlier....

EllieKthePA · 08/04/2007 17:34

you found us then!

it's a bit quiet on here this afternoon, everyone's out in the sunshine

there are 2 stats threads, this one has details of our ages/families etc

and this one has details of due dates/babies born etc

we also have an email group set up so if you've been offline for a few days you can just check your email to catch up (i send an email out when anything important happens!). if you want to be added on send me an email [email protected]

The threads move very quickly sometimes, the last one only lasted us 24 hours but that's just cos we're such a chatty, friendly bunch

oh, and we often get into trouble for having 'offensive' thread titles

WELCOME

GeordieMacMinx is MMK's buddy

no idea if she was having a c/s? she hasn't updated the stats to say anything other than 10th April?

Hello all

Thanks for lovely supportive messages. I am veering between numbness and normality and short bursts of uncontrollable weeping at mo. DH and friends in RL have all been fab.

Catching up with the thread has cheered me up.

Congratulations Smole

Found this pregnant barbie if you want to have a squizz at it.

Period type pains coming and going today but not regualar enough to get excited. Due tomorrow. COME OUT BABY!!

Glad that you're all mostly enjoying the long weekend. Off for a snooze now. Will pop back tomorrow.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 08/04/2007 18:29

Hi all, and many congratulations Smole on your baby boy.

Ange, lovely to see you are home, and hope all is going well for you.

Octo, sorry things didn't amount to anything ... again. Tomorrow??

CD, hope the tea with the pil's went ok.

Ellie, pmsl at your chicken wire purchase!

Lesley, good to see you, and glad that you are getting support from your dh and friends.

Hope MMK is ok.

Had a lovely day with my parents - delicious roast lunch.

Think have had a show today - sorry for tmi, but it was blood streaked stuff. Also feeling incredibly heavy in my nether regions. I am not getting over excited as not due for nearly 3 weeks, but feel things are gearing up. Bit scared!!

Anyway, hope everyone else is ok - sorry for not mentioning everyone. Will be back later. x

weeonion · 08/04/2007 18:35

folks - meant to post before now but dooby and milo got home on friday. all doing well but she has to remind herself that cleaning etc is not a priority! sorry for the delay in getting that posted - a lax text buddy! hopefully she will be back on soon herself!

Katy44 · 08/04/2007 18:44

CONGRATULATIONS SMOLE!

bumble75 · 08/04/2007 18:56

Happy Easter all!

Congrats to Smole on baby Jesse!

Lesley - so sorry to hear about your friend, sending a hug.

Sounds like everyone has had a fab weekend so far, we've been finishing off bits and pieces around the house, which seem to be never-ending (probably because we keep stopping for coffee and chocolate breaks!). Ate my big easter egg in one go this afternoon and felt slightly sick... . Glad now dh wouldn't let me buy more this morning...

Had my second 'have you not had it yet?' comment today from one of dh's pals in the middle of Tesco - am thinking of making a sign that says 'Does it look like I've f*&$ing had it yet?' to stick on my tummy. He followed it up by telling me another friend of ours had beaten me to have her baby - maybe because she was due 5 weeks before me!!!!!

Rant over, sorry!

Have a great night, be back on later.

twinkle183 · 08/04/2007 19:00

bumble75 I love the t-shirt comment... I think I should have one made... Am still not having any pains

I am so fed up - this is all new to me going over cos ds was 11 days early, I didn't realise how uncomfortable that you become.. however I am having this feeling that I constantly need to go for a poo not sure what that could be??? Any suggestions...

Congrats Smole on baby Jesse... can't wait to join the club on the postnatal thread!!

Hope everyone else is okay??

Take care - will keep you posted - if any baby news !!!

bumble75 · 08/04/2007 19:00

oops, meant to also say hi to whywhywhy!

Bugmum · 08/04/2007 19:16

Just popping in to say hi and sorry I have been so tardy with me posting recently. Anyone noticed how it's you young'uns who post the most by far? That's what comes of having lots of energy still at this stage...

I am due two weeks today; like a lot of you, been getting lots of 'signs' that turn out not to be. And why is my SPD so much worse than it was? I know some of you got real relief from engagement, but my MW reckons 3/5 engaged (over a week ago), which isn't bad for a second baby, and yet the pain is worse. Sigh. Moan. Kvetch.

But CONGRATULATIONS to all our new mummies, especially our newest, Smole. I LOVE the name Jesse, just gorgeous. My text buddy, Twinkle, is now officially overdue (unless she's had it and not texted yet!), so here are some on her behalf.

Bugmum · 08/04/2007 19:17

Hi Twinkle [waves] How funny, just x-posted with you!

EllieKthePA · 08/04/2007 19:18

errrrrrrrrrrrm, energy??????????

i think i'm one of the youngest (only 25!)

and energy is the last thing i have, if i did i'd be somewhere other than stuck to the computer all day

OP posts:
Bugmum · 08/04/2007 19:20

Ellie - ah, good point! Maybe it's we oldies who are whizzing about having lives... Or not

Bugmum · 08/04/2007 19:21

I am feeling the need to buy more STUFF. What do we reckon: a sign of impending labour? Nothing specific or even expensive, just random stuff

EllieKthePA · 08/04/2007 19:30

i'm permanently buying random stuff (see earlier post on chicken wire )

nesting? or just too much time online?

OP posts:
Bugmum · 08/04/2007 19:31

Nesting for sure!

EllieKthePA · 08/04/2007 19:33

can i still use that as an excuse after the baby is born?

OP posts:
Bugmum · 08/04/2007 19:44

Definitely: post-natal nesting. We can call it a well-known syndrome

EllieKthePA · 08/04/2007 19:46

i do have a definite advantage, no dp to justify it to
