Is anyone else constantly starving? I wake up starving and have to eat two slices of toast immediately or I feel terrible all morning, but that doesn't seem to make any difference to my hunger!
Just scoffed the usual two slices and my stomach is still rumbling. I'm going to be the size of a house!

YouCantArgueWithStupid · 21/09/2017 09:03

Hi all can I jump back in? I'm 15+6 today with No2 😁

mamasiz · 21/09/2017 09:11

@mrskitty15 yes, all booked in for my flu jab - have it religiously every year because my asthma is a pain in the bum! I'm fine with most things that would trigger asthma sufferers - pets don't bother me, but if I ran down the road in cold weather I'd be in a heap by the end of it! Keeping my fingers crossed that baby doesn't inherit it from me. Husband is super fit with no allergies etc so hoping it takes after him!

BeckleinDisguise · 21/09/2017 14:02

scottishhem, I also had boxes to tick for Downs testing and Edwards/Pataus, it was also double checked when I had my bloods taken. Perhaps it is notnoffered everywhere? I think it is a relatively new addition to testing maybe?

whyhastherumgone yep, always hungry! Unfortunately everything still tastes a bit off!

One of the cleaners at work asked my friend (the teacher I supported last year) if I was pregnant yesterday! Cheeky mare! I'm guessing if she's noticed others might have done too so I spoke to the Deputy Head today and then told the teacher I'm with this year - didn't want him finding out on the grapevine, he was really nice though.

Has anyone else not made it totally public yet?

whyhastherumgone · 21/09/2017 14:08

Today I have eaten two slices of low carb toast, an apple, a handful of nuts, leftover chilli for [very early] lunch, two sticks of celery, boursin on ritz crackers....and still no sign of the hunger going away!

I haven't gone totally public yet - am 13 weeks - but I work for myself so it's easier to hide it from clients at the moment! Haven't told extended family either, and only close friends.

suntraveller · 21/09/2017 18:01

I'm the same @whyhastherum, I'm trying to fill up on fruit instead and then I find my stomach rumbles and then I find i eat toast or something:/ 16 weeks now and have my midwife appointment next week where she will listen for the heartbeat. I still haven't told everyone, next week after the appt is my next milestone and then I'll tell everyone :)

Kaffiene · 21/09/2017 18:11

@ whyhastherumgone Literally can't stop eating all the carbs..... But I feel so sick if I don't. 2 slices of toast first thing, banana after the school run, egg roll a latte while walking the dog, cheese sandwich for lunch, 2 squares of brownie before I could face the school run and just scoffed 3/4 of a pizza. I will also need more toast before bed or i will wake up feeling sick in the night. Wearing my maternity clothes and lying to strangers about strangers about how far along I am 😜😜

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 21/09/2017 18:17

I'm the same! Well I'm either absolutely starving and cannot fill my apparent bottomless pit Blush OR I'm not hungry at all and struggle to eat Hmm

The weird and wonderful world of pregnancy hey?

whyhastherumgone · 21/09/2017 18:58

Glad it's not just me Blush feels like i'm a bottomless pit today.
I now have to have two slices of toast as soon as i wake up or i feel terrible and it just goes on from there!

hometownunicorn · 21/09/2017 20:12

I'm the same too. Either can't stop eating or I can't eat at all. It's very confusing.

Bluebell93 · 22/09/2017 10:00

My appetite has gone completely but that's due to being struck down with a horrendous cold. Colds were bad enough before pregnancy but when you can't take anything (or even sniff olbas oil!) it really sucks. We're away on holiday atm and it's really taken the shine off everything.

RosieRo123 · 22/09/2017 18:52

Paracetamol is ok @Bluebell93 isn't it? Feel better soon!

@FuzzyOwl I would very much like to be added to the Facebook group, however I'm not sure how to send you a private message with my details? ☺️

FuzzyOwl · 22/09/2017 19:47

@RosieRo123 if you go on the main website page or app there is an icon in the top right hand corner.

@FuzzyOwl think I've somehow managed to send you a message but not sure if it's gone to the right person?

RosieRo123 · 22/09/2017 21:44

Sent you a message too @FuzzyOwl (hopefully 😆)

FuzzyOwl · 22/09/2017 21:49

I've received and replied to both messages. Smile

You can't sniff olbas oil?!!
It's gonna be a tough winter! Grin

I've noticed a lack of hunger around the last month or so.... or seeming lack of hunger.
I just don't 'fancy' and foods/meals, and can't really tell I'm feeling hungry.
But when I haven't eaten for 6 hours or more I know I must need food.
But once I force myself to make something and begin eating it turns out I was actually very hungry!

OrangeCloud18 · 23/09/2017 16:50

Over here it is garlic bread, garlic bread, garlic bread Grin
I am 16+6, still on medication for hyperemesis and threw up yesterday but it's not as bad as it was before.

whyhastherumgone · 23/09/2017 18:50

Wish I had that problem @Pinky333777 I'm genuinely starting to worry about stacking the weight on now, need to try and get a handle on it but I'm so bloody starving all the time.
Worried that next time I see the midwife I'm going to have piled it on - have started swimming four times a week for an hour each time in an effort to try and be a bit healthy! Feel gross, I used to eat quite healthily but I still just want bloody carbs. Tell me this bit does start easing off at some point?

14 weeks on Monday and I definitely have a bump Blush
I'm sure eating EVERYTHING has helped it along...

whyhastherumgone · 23/09/2017 18:51

For those with colds, you can use a saline/saltwater spray it really is a life saver. I also got told I could use the kids version of Vicks - nowhere near as effective but better than nothing.

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 23/09/2017 21:03

I'm constantly eating at the moment too. Healthy stuff and unhealthy stuff. Whatever I can get my hands on with least effort, usually. Blush I'm 14 weeks tomorrow.

I struggled with this bit of pregnancy last time, I remember - starting to gain weight but not looking at all pregnant, just chubby. If my weight fluctuates upwards normally (not by huge swings, but those 2-3lbs that make the difference between jeans fitting well and feeling fat iyswim) I tend to feel pretty glum about it, and that's basically where I'm at now. Trying to keep it in proportion but it's not much fun! Going to pop to the gym tomorrow even though I feel too tired. My body needs to do something, or maybe I just need to feel less out of control, I don't know.

EsmeeMerlin · 23/09/2017 21:07

I am 16+4 and today went to a gender scan. We are having our second boy! Already have ds(4). Everything is all going well and we got some fantastic pictures. Much better than any nhs one I have ever got.

Just got to pick a name now!

Flatwhite31 · 23/09/2017 22:44

Congrats @EsmeeMerlin. We had set aside this weekend for our gender scan at 16 + 3, but instead I've spent the day crying at our lost bean who will never be. My heart is broken into a million pieces.

scottishem · 23/09/2017 22:54

Awww congrats @EsmeeMerlin we've decided to not find out gender although we both think its a girl (although secretly I'de love a boy as I have nephews!) x

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 24/09/2017 09:04

Oh @flatwhite31. 😥 Flowers
