scottish mamasiz the pressure feeling is so bizarre! It's crazy what's considered normal when you're pregnant!

orange glad to hear you're feeling abit better with the hg.

mamasiz whyhastherumgone congrats on the baby boy news!! I'm not finding out until 20 weeks but I have an inkling that this baby will be also boy!

Hope everyone is getting on OK with their second trimesters!

Onceuponamama · 27/09/2017 18:27

Will also be a boy* .... Ahh don't you just love baby brain?!

whyhastherumgone · 27/09/2017 22:25

Hello everyone - seems a bit quieter on here, maybe I'll have to finally bite the bullet and join the facebook group!!

Has anyone else been getting twinges down their sides? Ive had sharpish but very quick twinges down my right side all evening...

OrangeCloud18 · 28/09/2017 19:17

whyhastherumgone I get them too. It's pulling on the sides.

hometownunicorn · 28/09/2017 20:29

why I've had weird pains in my side too. And just down funny pains and sensations in general. I think (hope) it's just everything stretching.

Bluebell93 · 29/09/2017 07:05

I get weird aches inside (in my vagina) which I've put down to stretching. Normally get them at the end of the day and notice it in bed, but definitely had them for weeks now.

I don't have side pains so much though, except for the odd twinge when I move differently.

scottishem · 29/09/2017 09:20

Lots of round ligament stretchy pains here. I sneezed whilst lent over the other day and my god it hurt!! Also starting to get itchy skin on my belly from stretching so just trying to keep it as moisturised as possible!
Sporting a proper little bump here now!! Smile

whyhastherumgone · 29/09/2017 09:25

Ah how far along are you @scottishem? sorry can't keep up!

Thanks for the reassurance everyone

MrsCR2016 · 29/09/2017 12:48

Hi everyone 16+4 today. First baby and due 12th March ( day after mother’s day)

Had early scan at 9 weeks (medical problems for me) had a repeat scan on 4/9 and was dated at 13 weeks.

Heard babies heartbeat at midwifes appointment 14/9 (14+3 pregnant) didn’t think I would hear it as I know it can’t always be picked up.

Just about start feeling more ‘normal’ again then have dreaded flu & whooping cough jabs yesterday and feel like I’m on my arse again!! Tired and aching!!

Looking forward to seeing all the posts and pictures! Here’s my little one 💕

Also forgot to add is there a secret or private group on Facebook? As I’m rubbish at checking forums?

Thanks

GiveMeTheTeaAndNobodyGetsHurt · 29/09/2017 15:19

Welcome, MrsCR2016! There is a secret Facebook group, just pm FuzzyOwl and she will send you the link. Smile

scottishem · 29/09/2017 16:15

@whyhastherumgone 15 weeks so im surprised to have a bump already but its there when I wake up now and I can no longer pinch my chubby bits haha

scottishem · 29/09/2017 16:17

@MrsCR2016 thats a lovely pic very clear!

MrsCR2016 · 29/09/2017 16:51

Thank you @scottishem . We were lucky when we went and got a lovley sonography who gave us 2 extra pictures (free too!!) Cant wait for the next one to see him/her

MrsW0812 · 29/09/2017 17:38

Hi ladies - not been on for ages! Think I might have to join Facebook group - how do I do that again?

I bit the bullet and bought some mat jeans the other day - I’m feeling huge and my clothes are struggling to fit. Wearing my mat jeans and I look like the size of a house - I can’t even suck my belly in anymore - anyone else? I’m only 15+5 so god knows what I’m going to be like by the end!!

thaigreencurry82 · 29/09/2017 17:41

Great pic MrsCR2016!
We're due around the same time, i'm 16+6 today. Had my 16 week midwife appt this week and heard lovely strong heart beat straight away! So wonderful.
Are flu and whooping cough jabs required in pregnancy then? I haven't been told anything about them by my midwife.

MrsCR2016 · 29/09/2017 18:10

I have a pre existing medical condition so always have the flu jab anyway.

I was informed about both jabs when I went to see my midwife for my first appointment. I would ask yours next time you see her or even when you have your next scan.

Thank you! I had a great picture on my first scan too. But both times I’ve had to have a start/stop wee in the middle of the scan!

scottishem · 29/09/2017 20:55

@thaigreencurry82 I was told at my booking in appointment that whooping cough and flu jab are highly recommended

Scoobygang7 · 30/09/2017 06:07

Whooping cough is less for you more for baby it's an awful disease and the only way to pass on immunity is via having it yourself. I'd very much recommend I had it last time no side effects. Definitely have a chat with your midwife about it.

suntraveller · 30/09/2017 09:31

I'm 17+5 today and had my midwife appt last week, I got the flu & whooping cough vaccine. I also got to hear the heartbeat, which was lovely, but that's about all she did, the whole appt felt very rushed and the next appt with her isn't until the end of Nov. @MrsW I'm with you on buying maternity jeans, they are so comfortable, I think they made my bump look smaller for now, because other trousers kind of just stuck in below the bump and it seemed to stick out more (and I couldn't eat as muchGrin)

thaigreencurry82 · 30/09/2017 09:45

I've had a read and both are highly recommended so will speak to midwife, thank you.

BeckleinDisguise · 30/09/2017 14:10

I’m glad I’m not the only one getting bigger! 16+6 today and I’ve got about 2 dresses still that fit me - I’ve ordered some mat clothes but the dresses look like tents on me! Jeans are fine for weekends but I need smart for work - anyone have recommendations for black, tapered leg trousers?

Very relieved that MW found HB at my appt on Weds, took a while though which was scary - she says it’s because my placenta is anterior currently.

whyhastherumgone did you manage to see a nurse/dr?

I’ve been told to get a flu jab but whooping cough wasn’t mentioned!

BeckleinDisguise · 30/09/2017 14:15

mrsCR2016, I didn’t realise March 11 was Mother’s Day - that’s my due date! Though I’m prone to large babies (DD was biggest at 9lb15 and I’m a 5’4 size 8/10 - she got stuck!) so I’m being scanned at 36 weeks to check size, I may be jnduced early if this one is large. They don’t want me to go overdue eithet because of my ‘advanced maternal age’ GrinBlush

MrsCR2016 · 30/09/2017 15:57

I only know about Mothers Day as I manage a florist 💐. So I always find out the year before. And it falls by my dads birthday too!

Hope this one isn’t too big for you.

scottishem · 30/09/2017 16:37

Bump/all the carbs!
