In which we swat away unwanted hands, perform military operations every night to roll over in our sleep, clean the kitchen cupboards for the eleventy billionth time and count down the days to our maternity leave!

Oh @Hazandduck, sounds stressful. Nearly time for you to call up for the results though. Cross fingers all is ok xx

AGnu · 29/10/2017 09:57

Wow, it's all happening now! Good luck today GingerHanna. Hope it all goes smoothly!

Haz that sounds scary! I'm sure if it's anything concerning then they'll be as keen as you to get baby out quickly & safely! Keep us updated!

Motherhippy16 · 29/10/2017 10:16

@hazanduck I hope all will be well! Take care and thinking of you x x x x

theotherendofthesockportal · 29/10/2017 10:18

Oh wow!! What a night for you @Hazandduck! Wishing you all the best today. Looks like we might be getting two more October babies in this group!

Hoping @GingerHanna is close to holding her baby in her arms.

@DuRezidal and @lydiangel83 it sounds like things might be starting for you too!

Do many exciting updates this morning!

Hazandduck · 29/10/2017 13:22

Thank you everyone for your lovely replies. I am a bit of an emotional mess! So my bloods have come back normal apart from one level was elevated but apparently it has been the whole pregnancy and to them doesn’t suggest cholestasis, but they have told me to keep an eye on movements and if at any point I am worried or the itching gets worse I can go straight in; they were so lovely as I got a bit upset on the phone and said that’s what they are here for. So lucky to have such kind people looking after me!

I updated my Midwife and told her we are going to try and get Baby moving ourselves with some home remedies as we just want him/her here now, and she said she does too so when I see her on Tuesday she is going to do my bloods again and try and get things moving for me too, my DH said I’m going to get fingerblasted 😂 So glad he can make me smile even when I’m anxious!

Thanks again everyone. I actually think the anxiety at this stage is so much worse than the beginning. We put everything away this morning in the nursery and I cried when I saw it all; everything is such higher stakes at this stage. You feel so close to the end but so far because so much can happen xx

butterybollocks · 29/10/2017 14:34

Glad you're OK haz, take it easy, you must be exhausted from all the drama and stress. I completely know what you mean about the anxiety being worse now - I just want this baby here safely.

Hazandduck · 29/10/2017 20:08

Thank you @buttery yes that’s what I’ve done all day and we are now already tucked back up in bed, proper lazy Sunday. Hope you’ve had a nice one too?
Still thinking of @Ginger, hope you are doing ok! X

GingerHanna · 29/10/2017 20:28

Oh @Hazardduck I am so sorry for all the stress and worry you are going through. I really hope your little one listens up and gets here soon.

So, on a different note... please welcome Joseph Richard to the world born today at 17:10 and weighing in at 2.8kg. Nine hour induced labour, epidural after five hours as was overwhelming and then just 15 minutes of pushing!

All is well and we will be going home in the morning. We were offered to go home tonight but don’t feel quite ready yet!

Thank you @ginger and @valentine :) xxx

GingerHanna · 30/10/2017 04:42

Thank you for all the well wishes. I am feeling shattered but on cloud nine.

Managed a snooze for about 90 minutes just now and when I woke was quite disoriented as I realized I had a little baby! He’s currently asleep on my chest as he swallowed quite a bit of amniotic fluid during delivery and had been sicking it back up. Perfectly normal I am told and explains why he’s not wanted to eat since his first mammoth food fest after delivery. Again, told is perfectly normal.

He is so tiny. We have had to get size 50 clothes from a friend as all our stuff is 56 and just swamps him!

First night alone and second night in existence just about completed and we all survived. The cats seem non-plused by it all which I will take as a win!

Now to get through today...

Congratulations @GingerHanna!
It’s NiceCuppa here but I’ve name changed.
Not sure if that means I should try and find the google doc and update it actually!
