lydiangel83 · 30/09/2017 09:57

Great bump @DueNov :)

Motherhippy16 · 30/09/2017 13:06

Oh my goodness... is anyone else out there arguing with their darling other half about pretty much everything? So Infuriating!!! X

theotherendofthesockportal · 30/09/2017 13:56

@Motherhippy16 I'm the opposite, I normally want to kill my husband but at the moment I feel quite endearing towards him. I keep looking at thinking "that man is the father of my baby!" Clearly hormones have a lot to answer for.

I've broke up for maternity leave now, and it has started with a bad tummy. Hope it's not very early labour, I would like baby to cook for 4 more weeks

butterybollocks · 30/09/2017 15:10

I'm annoyed with everyone about everything at the moment!

Been shopping this morning for baby stuff which was fun. Almost ticked everything off my list. Still got loads to do though as all the furniture needs to be built and everything needs washing and sorting.

redfragglebiker · 30/09/2017 17:12

Grumpling checking in and still grumpy right here. Feeling ridiculously fat, over emotional and crying at the drop of a hat. House purchase still going on gut so fucking slowly I could scream. Everyone keeps telling me we'll be in before she arrives but we still don't have a moving date. Been advised I won't be ready for my driving test either and they don't have another date available at the test centre until 27th November (I'm due 23Rd) so it looks like I'm unlikely to be driving this side of new year either. Dh taking me out for dinner and I can't find anything to wear that doesn't make me look the size of a small family of whales. Everything can just fuck off today. I've had enough.

Julesbegone · 30/09/2017 19:38

Want to physically murder my husband today. Completed on house yesterday: removals booked for 14th October. I’d like to pay people to get the whole thing sorted but for some chauvinistic, macho reason, husband has decided he will do it all with help from his father. Today they seem to have realised that it’s a big fucking job but are undeterred. I want to hide under a rock for two weeks and then refuse to move in unless it’s ready to my standards.

I’m a brat, aren’t I?

izzibee29 · 30/09/2017 21:09

I think we can tell we all are getting towards the end now and therefore we are very fed up with a lot of shite which is going on around us.

I definitely had a moment with hubby this week when I just went crazy at him, but it was because he is finding the last bit of the pregnancy hard and getting stressed but was giving me a cold shoulder rather than talking about it.

Men are advised to just grin and bear the emotions we chuck at them but bless them, they do put up with some crazies from us (not that we should apologise hehe).

ValentineFizz · 30/09/2017 22:08

Another one here to add to the crazy emotional list!! 😂

Had a proper teary meltdown this morning and went back to my bed for the day.... 34+2 and just feeling exhausted 😴

Still 3 weeks til I finish for maternity and it can't come quick enough now!! Hang in there ladies, we're nearly there 😗

SarahS17 · 30/09/2017 22:58

Hi all, went for my midwife appointment yesterday, am 34 + 3, and I was measuring 31 weeks. They've put me at the bottom of the percentile chart and have ordered me an emergency growth scan. I've been having them anyway and was fine at 32 weeks so I'm hoping the measurements are just wrong but it was the same midwife who did the stomach measurements so I can't blame that :-( hoping he is just in a different position as they've told me that if the growth scan matches the measurements then they might keep me in and want to deliver :-( has anyone else had this measurement problem? Longest weekend now worrying as the scan department is shut over the weekend. :-( x

AGnu · 01/10/2017 00:43

I think it's usually later in my pregnancies that they start panicking about growth - around 36w if I remember rightly. I've had growth scans with both previous DC & both times they were fine. At my last appt I was measuring exactly on the 28w I should've been. I've got my 34w appt the week after next & fully expect to measure around 32w. It'll be the appt after that that they decide I've crossed the magic 3cm line & send me for a scan! Assuming it's the same as the last 2, anyway! Previous birth weights, at 41+3 & 40+5, were 7lb & 6lb13 so not enormous babies but not worryingly small. I'm pretty blasé about growth scans - measuring the stomach is really inaccurate & depends on the baby's position/amount of fluid/whether you've just eaten a big meal... I'm sure it's helpful for them to get an idea but it's really common for people to be sent for precautionary scans without there being any issue. Nobody mentioned wanting to get the baby out when I was sent for scans - it was always just for monitoring purposes, although I suppose logically if their monitoring found something amiss they would've started putting the pressure on. You've already made it through half the weekend. Not too long to wait now! Fx it's all fine! Smile

butterybollocks · 01/10/2017 07:24

Happy October everyone... Our babies are due next month!! SmileSmileShock

goldenclaire · 01/10/2017 08:51

Hey. Can i join? I'm 36 weeks pregnat. Just found mumsnet. Borderline due end of Nov/start of Dec.

izzibee29 · 01/10/2017 08:53

So my baby has been monitored for growth since 28 weeks. I have a consultant keeping an eye on its progression (8th centile at 28 weeks, 14th at 30). We have another scan at 35 to check progress and have been told we will have another at 38.

The consultant explained that they are looking for markers that the placenta isn't getting enough energy to baby. Basically through scans they can only check so much function of a placenta. Some placentas aren't as efficient as others (like it seems mine isn't), so when baby asks for 10 units of energy and my body says coming right up, the silly placenta does listen to its instructions and only gives baby 7 units. That is probably why my baby isn't growing at an average rate and is smaller (because they don't have enough energy). In the extra scans I have coming up the doctors will check to see if baby has more blood flowing to its heart too in case the amount of energy it it receiving has dipped (if they are getting less energy then they would use the energy to keep vital organs going instead of spreading it round their body). I have been warned if they see signs of this then I will likely have to be induced.

But at the end of the day I think it's better to be monitored more as we all want healthy babies (plus I get a few extra cheeky chances to see baby).

DueNov · 01/10/2017 17:37

Golden how are you due end of Nov start of December if youre 36 weeks? I'm 31 and a half and due then?

DueNov · 01/10/2017 17:41

Anyone else fed up of people's comments?? Me at a wedding yesterday.
'You must be due soon! How long have you got left?'
'8 and a half weeks.'
Followed by the sound of their jaws hitting the floor 🤣 😂 or 'Awh poor you' 🙃😅😭

November 2017 #4: Bump botherers, nesting and maternity leave!
izzibee29 · 01/10/2017 19:35

@DueNov I would not have been impressed by that comment either. It's more the poor you bit that makes me go grrr

DueNov · 01/10/2017 19:53

It wasn't just one person that's the thing. Around 8 people stopped me that didn't know me to say it. They also went round the person's house who got married today and said who was that poor girl that was pregnant? No way is she making it another 8 weeks!! I was livid. Haha

Motherhippy16 · 01/10/2017 19:56

It's so annoying that everyone feels they are allowed to pass judgement and comment.... like it's not a personal thing to comment on! X x x x I've had one of those weekends where everything has annoyed me... end of cold...way too much to do before maternity and can't seem to get enough sleep! X nearly there though! X

DueNov · 01/10/2017 19:57

I'm sat in the bath right now nursing a cold. A bad one I can barely breathe I suppose the shortness of breath and heart palpatations from low iron isn't helping either. Unsure of whether to call work and tell them I am sick tomorrow. I was off thuraday and Friday due to the heart palpatations and being sick though! X

DuRezidal · 01/10/2017 20:49

I think golden meant end of oct and start of Nov?

I am feeling thoroughly fed up. I've cancelled the next few competitions with the horses because I just feel so untidy riding at the moment. I did manage a training session with one of my trainers today so not all bad.

I have been getting some strong cramping the last 48 hours, some of which really take my breath away. I know the stronger my stomach muscles are the stronger the cramping will be, but it still took me by surprise.

I had my daughter at 37 weeks exactly, there were no causes as such for her to arrive early so there have been suggestions that I have a higher chance of having an early baby this time too. Has anyone else heard this?

Julesbegone · 01/10/2017 20:55

Is anyone else having a flu jab/ already had one?

izzibee29 · 01/10/2017 21:15

@DuRezidal sorry not heard of that but I guess they always look at previous births/labours/pregnancies as a guide?

@Julesbegone I'm having my jab in 9 days time

Julesbegone · 01/10/2017 21:17

Interesting @izzibee29. My Midwife has said that as I’m due 9th Nov, I’m not ‘very far’ into flu season and don’t need to have one...

butterybollocks · 01/10/2017 21:20

Sorry to hear you're struggling @durezidal

I had my flu jab last week. Had a sore itchy arm for a few days afterwards. DD will have the nasal spray at school and I'm pestering DH to pay for a jab this year. Really don't want flu in the house with a newborn!
