Go up to the sainsburys all the time when i am in "posh" mode, otherwise its plain old two for one morrisons. Were you studying here or something??? yeh 100 miles not all that far anyway lol!!! And I know just where you mean. Did you used to go out in Leeds???

Bramshott · 27/03/2007 21:09

Hi guys we're back!! Haven't had a chance to read everything but it seems we have had a busy day today!! Congrats to 1b3 and Bubblez

Well you might have noticed that I was on here last night, then went to bed, and slept completely normally till I woke up at 5.40am for a wee. Then back to bed, and some pains every 10 mins or so until 6.30, at which point I decided that it really was happening, and we'd better get DD up, take her to her friend's, and head off to the hospital. Only we didn't make it as Orla arrived in the car at 8.15am with me shouting loudly and struggling to get my trousers off! A postman called an ambulance and we carried on to hospital from there! Nothing if not fast and dramatic - and sooooo quick. No time for pain relief, not even the bloody TENS machine I picked up yesterday!

Anyway, home now, all going well, she's fed a couple of times but is still quite sleepy so we're hoping for a quietish night tonight to recuperate! She was 6lb 7ozs and is gorgeous - all pink with red-gold hair. DD is quite excited, although she was bit scared when I was shouting in the car on the way to her friend's this morning - couldn't help it!!

babysopiniontakesover · 27/03/2007 21:09

......and not forgetting hi agian to our new "leeds" friend Nutty!!!

babysopiniontakesover · 27/03/2007 21:10

Bramshott so many congrats but you've got me really really worried now......full labour in under 3 hours. Thats an all time record?

LesleyR · 27/03/2007 21:11

Sorry my brain is not functioning well at the mo. Ellie did let me know about the email list (yesterday or possibly before) but i forgot.

Email is sent now.

Katy - DH used to live on Bentley Grove in Meanwood with lots of other smelly boys.

Katy44 · 27/03/2007 21:12

Wow Bramshott, thanks for sharing your story.
Can't believe two and a half hours between you waking up and giving birth! It must have been a bit stressful in the car but sounds like it was all fairly straightforward?
Orla sounds lovely, please post a pic if you're happy to when you get the time xx

bEllieK · 27/03/2007 21:12

aw bramshott
thought i might call tomorrows thread
'bramshott and bubblez just couldn't wait their turn'

Katy44 · 27/03/2007 21:13

LesleyR - is he still smelly?!
Yes, was a smelly student for a year at Leeds Met. I went out in Leeds twice during that time (well we were struggling students!) and once shopping and got very lost!

eca · 27/03/2007 21:13

Bramshot !!! Well done you!!! at postie calling ambulance!! What a story to tell her. sweet...

Katy44 · 27/03/2007 21:14

Good idea Ellie - is the b in your name just trying to jump the queue yourself?
Will tomorrow not be 'c', then 'd' on Thursday? In which case you'd be having yours by Friday anyway, even if you just wait!

Pesha · 27/03/2007 21:14

Am so pissed off with um someone, partly hormones, mostly perfectly reasonably i think, but not sure if i should rant on here incase she reads it. Chances are very slim, ive mentioned MN in the past but far as i know she's never been on and pretty sure i would have heard about it if she had but think id be very recognisable to anyone who knew me from my posts. I am so , have really had enough of her now but wouldnt say anything in rl cos not worth it and its not my family to cause arguments in but AAAARRRGGGHHH!!! Stupid f**king cow

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 27/03/2007 21:15

Hello Bramshott - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Goodness me what a fantastic birth story - glad all is well and tucked up at home DH wants to know what car you gave birth in (its a bloke thing apparently)!!

Katy - really sorry to hear your sad news - big hugs xoxoxoxox

Katy44 · 27/03/2007 21:15

oooh, a premonition!

And I hope I didn't offend anyone (lurkers or otherwise) with the smelly student comment!

eca · 27/03/2007 21:15

Katy - sorry to hear about dh's friend's sil. Goah, she was really young. Hope that your dh is ok. xxxx

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 27/03/2007 21:16

LOL @ working way through alphabet!

Katy44 · 27/03/2007 21:17

Pesha - name change and start a thread with a code word in the title in chat for us all to read.
Or (trying not to be nosey for a change) rant to a teddy bear and take it as read we're all on your side She IS a stupid cow!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 27/03/2007 21:17

Bramshott, how lovely to hear from you and what a fab birth story!! So quick! I bet the postman got the shock of his life didn't he? Not used to those type of deliveries I would imagine!!

I am so so pleased for all of you, and Orla is a beautiful name.

Best wishes to you all - looking forward to some pics, and when the South East contingency are all "done" we can have a meet up with the new babes.

Lots of love

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 27/03/2007 21:17

Oh Pesha - you sounds really pissed off hun - can we do anything to help?

eca · 27/03/2007 21:18

ooooh... i'm 'e' does that make me friday!!??

Katy44 · 27/03/2007 21:19

Thanks everyone for the sympathy. Like I said, we didn't know her ourselves (only met her once or twice ages ago) but it just seems so unfair! I can't imagine what her DH & family are going through, and her child (not sure if it's boy or girl)
When these things happen you want the world to stop, don't you, you want to know everyone else is as affected as you are, it seems so cruel that the world goes on as normal.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 27/03/2007 21:19

Pesha/Katy, I am lost. What has upset you?

Katy44 · 27/03/2007 21:20

eca - yes, just before ellie - think you should arrange suitable time slots.

bEllieK · 27/03/2007 21:21

ooh katy, hadn't thought of that, was sort of a 'b' thing, and sort of a 'belly' thing

eca · 27/03/2007 21:21

SOSPL - "Not used to those type of deliveries I would imagine!!" - groan I can hear him back at the depot/at home/ on the phone now. It must be the joke of the year for them! bet it makes it into some kind of postie newspaper!

babysopiniontakesover · 27/03/2007 21:21

Pesha - you sound really mad - try and calm down a bit very bad for baby!!! Seriously hope you are ok, would you like to enlighten us a little more???

Katy - two nights out in a year and one day shopping. Now you really know how to throw a party lol.
