Just a little!

claricebean · 27/03/2007 04:56

Morning girls. Well yesterday I gave birth.............

claricebean · 27/03/2007 05:06

To two new haemorroids. I have named them Jim and Gemma. And they are agonising.

I've got up because I just can't sleep anymore. It would appear that there just is no room in my huge body for a baby and a large intestine. Something's gotta give and I hope it's the baby...............SOON.

I did have diarroeah yesterday (sorry TMI I know), which I'm taking as a good sign. I kept a diary with DD2 and I had diarroeah on the Thursday and she was born on the Saturday. Since I didn't keep a diary with the other two, I can't recall if that always happens to me.

But I'm still 8 days away from my EDD, so we'll see.

DH is off on his round trip to get MIL today. Because of train times, he has to leave at 11am and won't be back until 8pm. My mum leaves at 1pm. That's the last time DH will be away until the birth, so it would be ironic if I went into labour then. And you know what, I DON'T CARE. I just want my old backside back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

claricebean · 27/03/2007 05:06

Right, off to read the old thread. Good luck for later today 1b3. I'll be thinking about you.

claricebean · 27/03/2007 05:20

CD - glad the Birthing Centre was nice.

Octo - hope tomorrow's monitoring is Ok and the contractions are a bit more fruitful

SOSPL - hope things are better with Becky.

Ange - so sorry to hear about your DH's friend.

Pesha/Ellie - sorry your ex-DPs are being PITAs

Can't remember anything else. Have had 5 baths in the last 24 hours. Only place I can get some pile relief. ThinkI might go back there for a bit now. See you all later.

Eddas · 27/03/2007 08:23

CB, not sure that's the birth you wanted eh

Ellie, love the new title, shame no one wanted to keep the baby a day thingm tut!!! Mind you hardly a trend with the one baby really though cb had when i read her post, cheeky!!!

Ellie and Pesha, sorry to here the late night man rants, what PITA they are. Hope it all works out in.

I feel like a very old lady this morning, all aches and pains. DD says she'll make me feel better though bless her. Last night she asked what hurt so i told her my bottom, she got her doctors bag, found the plaster and put it on my bum!!!!

We're going to have a lazy day i think, washing the baby's toys and making an easter hat for dd's pre school on thurs. It's my first one so hope she doesn't end up looking too daft. Think i'll just make the hat shape and let her get on with it, don't want it to look like i've made it.

Hope everyone has a good day

Eddas · 27/03/2007 08:24

ooo yes hope all goes well for 1b3, we'll have two new babies today

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 27/03/2007 08:44

Lovely thread title - 1b3 will be chuffed!

Morning all.
Ellie/Pesha, sorry you have had such crap times with your dp's.

CB, you really had me going there you monkey!

CD, glad the trip to the Birth Centre went well.

Octo, hope you managed to get a decent nights' sleep.

Forgotten everything else!!

B didn't wake up again which was a relief, but I kept bloody waking up! Mind you, can't complain, as had a lie in until 8.00 and B didn't get up until 8.30!!

I don't know how you lot are managing that haven't stopped working yet.

Right, need to haul my carcass in to the shower and take B to pre school. We will be an hour late like we were yesterday !!

Catch up with you later on.

maveta · 27/03/2007 09:05

Morning! Good luck 1B3!!! xxx

Claricebean, I really want to congratulate you on the birth of Jim and Gemma, you must be so very proud I´ve got a lovely pair of cold sores on my bottom lip to match but I normally get them quite a bit in winter and this is only the second time I´ve got them during the pregnancy so could be a lot worse.

I bought dh ´Guess how much I love you´ in Spanish to read to the baby as his father´s day pressie (arrived a liiiiittle bit late ) and it arrived today. He read it all out and it had me in tears . how pregnant of me??!

Birdiebump · 27/03/2007 09:33

Good morning to all on this auspicious day! Love the thread title Ellie.

Maveta - you little softy you!

Clarice - you have my sympathy - at least you have named yours..... Mine are totally ignored (apart from baths!) in the hope they'll go away - not working yet.....

Eddas - happy Easter Bonnet making. Can't wait to do that sort of thing with my little girl!

SOSPL - glad you had a reasonable night. DH said he had an absolutely "terrible" night - just because DS2 woke up twice for a wee - doesn't he realise it's going to get sooooo much worse??

Ellie - I wish I had been on last night but we may not be able to much because for some reason the computer is refusing to switch on unless it is totally cool - ie. first thing in the morning. So I will email you my mobile no for updates as well if that's ok?

Re the dad of your LO. I would seriously not stress too much if he keeps saying he does not want to be there. My DH found the birth experience amazing and was a total help and support to me, but the dad of my DS1 was actually quite traumatised by the whole thing and we both agreed that if we had had the time over it would have been better for him to have stayed away. Every bloke is different, and tbh, this guy sounds like a bit of a lightweight - more so than Matthew's dad?? Hope I'm not speaking out of turn - just wanted to say when I was reading the thread that you should not totally kill yourself trying to get him there if he really does not want to go. Sounds like he is still playing the blame game in any case, which is the last thing you need. I'll shut up now.....

Waiting in for dishwasher guy who is about to make me late for my MW appt - grrr!!

nuttygirl · 27/03/2007 09:39

Morning.

Have started with toothache . Is paracetamol the ONLY painkiller I can take (cos i know it's not gonna work!!!). Dentist won't see me til Thursday (when I'll be 39wks) and i'm betting he'll just say it'll have to wait til after LO is born. Idiot wouldn't say whether they'd do anything cos they won't know til they've seen it....err...it needs a filling...and they can't tell me if they'd be able to do it and DH has to be really late for work to take me there.

EllieK · 27/03/2007 09:43

no problem birdie x
i get 300 free texts each month (even tho i'm PAYG) and only ever use them all when i have a man to text!

OP posts:
EllieK · 27/03/2007 09:45

they don't recommend you have x-rays and any work will be difficult as you'll need to lie back, but if it's urgent they can do it.

and yes, paracetamol is all you can take! you could try putting bonjela on it, or sing corsodyl mouthwash, both worked for me when i had toothache, buut you might not need a filling, i went convinced that i did and there was nothing wrong

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 27/03/2007 09:46

Morning all

managed to have about 7 hours sleep which was good - baby still not moving much and off to be monitored again. Just don;t feel he is happy.

Grandad is on his way to help out!

Claricbean - you nearly had me then....!!!

1B3 - thoughts are with you honey - more tears due today then

Will catch up later xoxoxo

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 27/03/2007 09:46

Nutty - you can take paracentomol and codeine - think that is also panadol - but do the packet - I have it for my spd.

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 27/03/2007 09:47

check the packet even!

EllieK · 27/03/2007 09:49

on the exP front, it's not that he doesn't want to be there, he does, so yes, i think it is a bit of a blame game and it's not gonna make any difference to what i do, if anything it'll just mean i don't call him!

OP posts:
EllieK · 27/03/2007 09:50

morning octo!
good luck at the hospital, keep us informed

OP posts:
Birdiebump · 27/03/2007 09:51

Good luck Octo!

Anyone know what time 1B3's section is booked for??

doghouse · 27/03/2007 09:53

good luck Octo and 1B3.
I love that 'Guess how much I love you' book ... only one I have bought in preparation for LOs arrival! Found DH sitting in nursery on his own reading it one day ... ahh!

off to meet nct group for lunch today and 2 of the 8 have dropped out as are being induced today .... something in the air?!

xx

nellyhel · 27/03/2007 10:01

I'm going to be humming teddy bear's picnic all day now after the thread title! Good one though.

Have caught up with all the news but it has disappeared into the mush that is my brain. I am so tired after a few bad nights of pelvic pain and snoring dh. Have already been laughed at by the kids for asking stupid questions this morning trying to get out the door. They are only 6 and 3 so I do feel particularly daft today

Have managed to retain the important baby and labour news from the threads I hope - and send good luck to 1b3 and octo. Am as am ready now (not due until 13th) but guess I'll just have to wait. Of course I am allowed to talk about feeling I might be early, HOWEVER had to listen to dh and MIL discussing on phone last night when baby would happen and guessing it would be early. Got v annoyed, I remember pressure from this last time! He'll come when he is ready not by wishful thinking by everyone else!!! And it won't be my fault if he is late

I could list a load more moans about dh but he is trying to be nice most of the time (admitted v grudgingly). Lots of sympathy to those of you having problems with dp/dh though. Last pg dh was having lots of health problems, was no support at all as could only think about himself. I really didn't think he would make it to the birth, didn't think he was even fit to look after dd on his own. As it was he did manage when he had to and we got there in the end. It is so stressful though when you least need it - hope everyone gets sorted out (sorry can't remember who posted).

WCL - glad to hear you are getting on well. I'd just keep calling your ds Gabriel at every opportunity and tell everyone that's the name so they use it too! Dh is still trying so come up with horrid alternatives to the name we have had picked for ages but I am not for changing now. Hoping that by saying first in that moment after birth that he'll just have to agree.

Have about an hour before have to collect ds from nursery so will have a quick snooze I think. Will set alarm first though!

Have a good Tuesday! (It is Tuesday isn't it...??)

nuttygirl · 27/03/2007 10:02

Thanks, maybe I'll get DH to come home at lunchtime and pick up some paracetamol on the way.

Good luck Octo.

Also good luck to 1b3.

AngeG · 27/03/2007 10:07

Morning all.

Good luck for today 1b3 - hope the section goes well. Thinking of you.

Octo - Hope the monitoring goes ok this morning keep us informed. Glad you got some sleep.

Enjoy your lunch doghouse.

Nuttygirl - Hope the tooth feels better soon. Hopefully he'll be able to do something to make it feel better.

Hope the dishwasher gets fixed birdie.

That's so sweet Maveta. I love that story.

CB - You had me going there

Eddas - Feeling exactly like that today. All aches and pains. Hoping it will ease of during the day and hope yours does too.

Hi SOSPL - Glad Becky didn't wake again and you managed a lie in. Jake didn't wake til 8.15 this am (lovely) and he's supposed to be a pre-school at 9am. We made it at 9.15. SO not too bad.

Morning Ellie and Pesha. Sorry to hear about your man troubles. Hope they get sorted out one way or another.

Really must go supposed to be at work today, not sure I can face it, but at least I've got the flexibilty to leave when I've had enough.

See you all later xx
