Phew, spent the morning at the day assessment unit due to reduced movements since last night.

Turns out my concerns over my incorrect paperwork were founded, all info on the system was still wrong so I'm glad it's been brought to their attention now and not when I rock up to give birth.

Had a scan straight away and we could both see movement but not that strong, fluid levels good and cord blood good. Sat on the monitors for an hour after doing urine sample. Heartbeat good and even got some BH while hooked up so that was interesting to see it spike. Had some firmer movements whilst being monitored so feeling happy with that.

Downside is I have glucose in my urine again at 2+ which is now two instances in a month so I'm getting a growth scan and doing glucose test on Fri. Midwife said chances are by the time the plan is put in place I will have given birth but it's good to know for next time. She said baby looks to her to be perfectly average size and I'm 37cm at 37+2 but I'm happy to be scanned again. Interested to hear their weight estimate.

So glad I've moved to this unit, I couldn't be happier with how they treated me and they were so reassuring and helpful with the incorrect details as well.

glitterglitters · 30/06/2017 14:34

Gosh that's a relief @Algebraic crazy how they could get so much so wrong!

It makes a world of difference when you're comfortable and happy with the care etc. Definitely makes the whole thing a lot less stressful and it sounds like they've been super thorough.

Hopefully the glucose thing is just from eating etc. I always got a high reading after I'd had a sugary drink or a roast etc.

CatRash · 30/06/2017 14:49

Glad to hear everything's ok @Algebraic and good luck for your scan on Friday - it'll be nice for you to see baby again!!

I've had a similar couple of days. Went to my 36 week midwife appointment yesterday and blood pressure was up again. Combined with "extreme" edema in my feet, ankles, knees and hands and having a fairly quiet baby (always has been which makes it very hard to monitor movements) the midwife was concerned so sent me to be monitored in a different part of the hospital.

Three hours later (!) I finally left having had a normal trace (albeit little movement) but still with high BP so had to go back this morning for blood pressure monitoring and growth scan.

This morning BP is back to normal and growth scan came back fine. Baby is on the smaller side (12th percentile) but the ultrasound technician wasn't concerned as head and abdomen are in line. Baby has short legs but then so do I lol! Also I'm only 5'2" so wasn't expecting a biggun in there!

Was nice seeing baby again though! Fingers crossed BP starts behaving over the next four weeks!

I know... they had my address from 6 years ago Hmm despite the correct one being printed on the front of my yellow book, so it seems when they transferred me over from the other trust they just didn't check my notes at all! The paperwork is still wrong but the right stuff is on their computers now so one step at a time.

Midwife said if I'd have had a sugary breakfast she would have discounted it but as I only had toast and hot lemon water she said warrants further testing. Trying not to get ahead of myself with what a late stage GD diagnosis will mean. Shame I have to wait until next Friday for the test.

LuciBee231015 · 30/06/2017 15:06

Well I'm back from my second sweep... she was shocked I hadn't gone into labour yet considering how favourable everything was last week. Said it's so low she could quite easily break my waters and I'm 2cm dilated. She also said if I start having pains and unsure if it's the real thing or not she is on call tomorrow from 8am and will pop round to our house and examine me.

Fingers crossed things get moving now!

glitterglitters · 30/06/2017 15:28

Yayyy!!! That sounds super positive @LuciBee231015

I had an internal with my dd and I was told my waters were bulging. I was sent home and within.... an hour? My waters went just from being prodded.

Fingers crossed for Baby Bee soon!

@CatRash eeek! Sorry to hear you've had a rough few days.

Hopefully all will be well.

Feeling like I've been whinging over nothing now 🙈

ButterflyFree · 30/06/2017 15:31

Thanks @Mawita @Twixes @HaichM - my mum has been in a good mood today so hopefully that means she's had time to process the initial disappointment and she understands my wishes. @HaichM it's tricky to broach the subject but probably better to prepare your mum sooner rather than later, and it will help to put your mind at ease too.

I've also been jinxed by the spots comment - thanks @glitterglitters !! Got 2 along my jawline today. You can't really see them as they're quite deep under the skin but they're annoying 😤

@Algebraic I'm glad they corrected your details and that you're feeling reassured about having changed to that unit, and @CatRash I'm glad you've no need to be concerned about baby's growth and hope your BP will settle soon.

Can't believe @LuciBee231015 and @glitterglitters little monsters still haven't arrived yet!! They're certainly keeping you (and us) on your toes! Fingers crossed for some weekend arrivals 🤞🏻

I've been in nesting mode today - Shnuggle Moses basket & rocking stand arrived so I put that all together and set it up in Baby Z's little corner. Since I don't have the chance to decorate a nursery yet I thought I'd at least dedicate a little area to him so I can feel like I've done something.

Sorry for another bold fail 🙄 the MN mobile app needs an update methinks...

HaichM · 30/06/2017 15:52

Butterfly: so jealous of the corner for Baby Z. We have no where for baby yet. We're picking up the crib tomorrow and I'm hoping to get the changing table soon so I can set up ready. At the moment everything is just in bags in DSs room.

I'll have to talk to my mum over the phone as she doesn't live nearby but yeah I think I'll do it soon. Especially as I've been having mild BH all day...

Lallypopstick · 30/06/2017 16:28

@LuciBee231015 am I right in thinking you were a June due date? Looks like you picked the right group opting for July, though there's still a bit of June left for baby to make an appearance in.

I'm reading everyone's posts but have nothing much to add about my own stuff. Still working, two weeks to go, no BH yet, lots of heartburn, lots of wake ups for the toilet in the night. Standard!

LuciBee231015 · 30/06/2017 16:31

Lally yes I was due last Friday, 23rd June! I'm exactly 41 weeks today! Been having quite a few cramps and some backache since I've been back from the sweep so hopefully it did something...

Have been following everyone's posts but not wanting to comment too much as trying not to get hung up on due date in case I go over! DD1 was born at 38+4 so if I'm still pregnant on Tuesday it'll be the most pregnant I've ever been Grin

Am due on 13th- no real signs other than last weeks spot that's since cleared up and a bit of nesting (but my house is covered in dust from building work so I'd have been like that anyway!). Am starting to feel more and more uncomfortable though- especially in the evenings.

All my pre-baby 'events' (finishing work, leaving meal, planned trips out for the day) etc are finished now so I am lifting the sex ban on DH in case that starts things off Blush

crisscrosscranky · 30/06/2017 16:38

Congratulations @Bawbles - I've never seen such an alert and 'tidy' looking newborn! He's lovely!

glitterglitters · 30/06/2017 16:41

Oh he's gorgeous @Bawbles sorry he gave you a bit of a fright. He looks so alert and happy! Bless him xxx

glitterglitters · 30/06/2017 16:50

Lallypopstick · 30/06/2017 20:19

Bawbles what a special little boy he is. I hope you're feeling good and having lots of cuddles with little Monty.

GlitterGlitters no such thing as TMI on this thread - hopefully that's a good sign for you.

LuciBee sounds promising. Keep us posted!
