Katy44 · 18/03/2007 10:24

I need some more sleep.
Must have been a bad bit of chocolate

Katy44 · 18/03/2007 10:25

Oooh Emmymummy, I never did get my glass of wine last night, so shall we?

runnyhabbit · 18/03/2007 10:30

CD - dh thinks that because ds made me things in nursery for Mothers Day, that he does not have to do anything else

He is taking ds out this morning, so I can "do what I want" Thinks that's his idea of a present.

Katy44 · 18/03/2007 10:33

Does he not think you might want to see your ds on mother's day? Men are useless!
DH is in bed with a hangover.

runnyhabbit · 18/03/2007 10:37

mmmm - I hadn't even thought of that tbh I don't really mind because we had a lovely day yesterday. And you never know, they might come back with something for me.....(doubt it very much, but I can dream)

Katy44 · 18/03/2007 10:39

You never know!

runnyhabbit · 18/03/2007 10:42

Its my parents wedding anniversary today - 35 years!!!!!!!

My mum think the secret is my dad working away from home most of the time

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 18/03/2007 10:45

CB, so glad you have some help arriving. Hope your dh is ok.

CD, that dh has forgotten Mothers Day - blimming men!

DH has taken B out swimming, so I am preparing lunch. Have cheated hugely though and bought lots of ready prepared stuff from Sainsbury's!

Oh well, they'll never know!

mammyjo · 18/03/2007 11:09

Morning all. CD, at your dh for forgetting today. Ds gave me some flowers this am. A small bunch which are so lovely I could have cried! Emotional lunatic!!

Have to go off visiting the grannies later which I really cannot be bothered to do as they are both doing my bloody head in. Havent seen dhs mum for a good while so I know that as soon as I walk in I will get comments about how huge I am. Not sure whether my good humour is going to last the day.

mammyjo · 18/03/2007 11:12

SOSPL, good for you preparing lunch. Even better that half of it is done for you! Hope its delicious.

What on earth was going on on here last night? If I had known I would have come and joined you with my bottle of san miguel. It is the first alcohol I have had for months and I had it with a curry. It was heaven in a bottle, yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!

WCL, I lost my mucus plug over 2 weeks ago and never found it again but I am still sat here with baby safely tucked away inside. How much bloody longer eh?!

Katy44 · 18/03/2007 11:15

Morning mammyjo!

CaptainDippy · 18/03/2007 12:48

Hello! Back from church! He only realised when we got there that it was Mothering Sunday - Oh well, as least they gave me flowers and the girls made v.sweet cards in creche I got lots of cards from nursery and pre-school too runny - so perhaps he thinks that is ok then!!!? Enjoy your child-free time this am though!

Oh well.

Neeeeeed food (not worms!) .....

YvieE · 18/03/2007 13:02

Morning and happy mother's day.
Looks like I missed out on a really good night judging by the amount of posts - not to mention i was practically drooling at the pics of all the alcohol

CaptainDippy · 18/03/2007 13:27

So were we!!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 18/03/2007 14:32

Hi all, have to say lunch was yummy!

Sat and watched Ice Age after - I have seen it a few days and it always makes me cry at the end!

Now watching B do cutting and sticking - she loves it, and I can sit here and surf the internet!

Hope you are all having lovely days. See you later. xx

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 18/03/2007 14:33

Meant to say, seen it a few times - duhhhh!!

maveta · 18/03/2007 15:10

Well hello chatterboxes, looks like some of you had a good night last night! We had a fab night in the hotel, was looking forward to using the indoor pool but in the end the outside air of the spa was so toasty that I found the pool too cool, although dh enjoyed it. We went for a lovely walk, had a lovely dinner and were in bed at 10.30!!! But we slept sooooo well and had a very nice wake up call in the wee hours . Had a lovely drive through the country home and as soon as we (finally) got in after visiting MIL, cleaning the car and a zillion other detours, I feel asleep on the sofa for about 2 hours! What a lovely day.

I think I´m going to get very confused about which mother´s/father´s days to follow. Little sis sent me a card for mum which didn´t arrive, if it arrives tomorrow I´ll give it to her late, if not it will have to wait until spanish mother´s day. Although I have called her and wish her happy mother´s day today so... hmm. Have bought a card for dh for (spanish) father´s day tomorrow but not for my dad.. he´ll have to wait til english father´s day. I can see I am going to need to think about this a little better for next year

STILL no one´s popped??! We´re going to be pregnant forever...WAAAAAAAAAH!

CaptainDippy · 18/03/2007 15:41

Oooooh maveta - sounds all soooo lovely!! Lucky you!! V.confusing about the different Father's Days and Mothering Sundays ....

DH making cakes with DD's "for mummy" - trying to redeem himself!! (He'll have to do better than that!! )

eca · 18/03/2007 15:53

hey girls

well, i clearly missed the party on here last night!

That quiz is driving me nuts. I've made it to 82, but no more, i give up

CD - can't believe dh forgot mother's day! grrrrr...

Maveta - glad you had a lovely evening! We are booked in to a nice hotel on thursday night, a belated valentines pressie! mmmm... can't wait!

Hope everyone else is ok and those with kiddies are getting lots of mother's day treats!

WestCountryLass · 18/03/2007 16:32

Mammyjo, shouldn't be too much longer for you! Though I did post about it in Childbirth and the question is "was it your mucus plug afterall as could have been, um, increased secretions?"

CD, you are not alone, DH said he didn't have time to get me a card (even though they have been in the shops for the last month at least) so I got the leftovers from the local corner shop this morning We are due a dividend payment soon so I told him he'd better be forthcoming with the eternity ring then!!!!!

We went to Slimbridge today and had a lovely walk, the kids really loved it and now DH is cooking a roast so I shouldn't complain
