Hello! Just got my bfp, would love to join up with others expecting next Feb.

My DD is 16 months, so we're expecting (almost exactly!) a 2yr age gap all being well. EDD 2nd Feb.

I do hope it's not what you think and the bleeding stops. Bleeding is so common in early pregnancy but it is so scary when it happens. I'm keeping everything crossed for you

Humpertydumpty · 21/06/2017 23:19

The pain has stopped, but I'm not sure if that's because it actually stopped or the painkillers I took were the fastest acting ever. It could be the hot water bottle I was using, but if there is a baby it's probably boiled now.

Although red, the bleeding was only on wiping. I have IVF twins from years ago and with them I bled like a fountain until 13 weeks so I know it doesn't always mean bad news. Not had proper period cramps like this though.

Progesterone has stopped any bleeding before with both miscarriages so it's unusual to bleed on it, especially as I'm on the injections which are hard core Grin.

Alicantine · 21/06/2017 23:37

@humpertydumpty Flowers I am so sorry. You might have mentioned it before but which IVF cycle was it for you this time? How many more will they allow you to have? Keep strong and make sure you rest and are allowed to be sad while at the same time keeping a positive outlook for the future. Sending you love and support from afar.

Thanks everyone for the tips on the bras I'm struggling as well I'll check bravissimo I had never heard of them.

Emma wow well done for your 6stone loss I'm really impressed. After my 2nd mc I decided my bmi might be an issue. So last year I lost 3.5 stone and I thought this was an achievement! Went from 32.5 to 24.5 bmi! And the thing that's odd is that I lost the weight to see if it'd help me get pregnant, but now that I'm pregnant I'm really concerned about losing my new found figure and I'm finding myself selfish for it! Although I really really want this baby. I don't know how both feelings can coexist it's odd.

The heat.... I feel heavily pregnant just because of the sore boobs and the heat!! It's exhausting me already.

Good night everyone :)

Humpertydumpty · 21/06/2017 23:41

Alicantine - I've had loads! 3 with ex-H which resulted in twins who are now in high school. This was the 3rd with DP in the last year. He has no DC so it's harder for him.in a way.

Firsttimeandclueless · 22/06/2017 05:36

Hello again everyone, I haven't been on for the past week or so, but have been lurking and keeping as up to date as possible.

Sadly, after my bleed, I had a negative pregnancy test a few days later. Got it checked out at an EPU and they confirmed that was no longer a pregnancy.

I am doing okay and eager to get back on the TTC asap.

Wishing all of you ladies a wonderful and healthy 9months. I have found your support and kindness invaluable these past few weeks. 💐💐💐❤️

Alicantine · 22/06/2017 06:11

@firsttimeandclueless I am so sorry to read this. Sending you love and support. We're glad we were able to help :). Good luck with your TTC. Many of us who have miscarried before are clinging on to each day as it comes, knowing that what happened to you might happen to us too. Flowers

choochooo · 22/06/2017 06:41

Humperty I'm keeping everything crossed for you

Firsttime I'm so sorry Flowers look after yourself and I hope we meet you back on these boards very soon. The miscarriage association helped me massively - loads of support and advice. Sending a big hug

RainyDayBear · 22/06/2017 07:08

Humperty Fingers crossed the bleeding is just a scare.

Firsttime So sorry to hear that, look after yourself Flowers

I'm 6 weeks today, the nausea is creeping in and making me nervous, it was bad last time and I had loads of time off work. No idea how I'm going to keep hiding it from colleagues if it gets bad, not to mention looking after a toddler and hiding it from the in laws when we all go away together next weekend!

EmilyK83 · 22/06/2017 07:25

Humperty fingers crossed for positive news

Firsttime I'm so, so sorry - look after yourself.

Alicantine that's a brilliant loss, well done! I feel your pain, though...the thought of putting at least 2 stone back on for pregnancy gives me mixed emotions too, haha.

Rainy hoping for your sake that it's not as bad as last time!

6+1 today, no nausea here, just achey boobs, cramps, constipation and gas. I'm so attractive right now, haha! Still getting the left leg pains, hopefully today's scan will let me know if there's anything sinister going on...

SquintySquirrel · 22/06/2017 07:40

Morning all,

Thanks for all the advice re early scan - I've booked one for 7-8 weeks - I'm quite anxious and just want to know there's definately one in there, hopefully in the right place and with a healthy heartbeat!

I'm about 5 weeks so v early days - boobs feel like they're made of lead and I have the most appalling gas! 😷

I'm trying my best to keep up with this thread and just wanted to send Flowers to those suffering losses or having any scary symptoms

TriJo · 22/06/2017 09:30

I broke out the Baby on Board badge yesterday for the tube journey home from work in the crazy heat. I know it's awfully early (6+2 ish) but I really needed a seat otherwise I wouldn't have managed the 7 stops home. Nausea has kicked up a bit, drank a pint of water really quickly this morning and felt sick immediately afterwards.

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 22/06/2017 10:18

Firsttime - I am so so sorry. You poor thing. I really hope we see you on this board again soon. As others have said, it may be worth speaking to the Miscarriage Association or Tommy's if you need some support Flowers.

Humperty - I am also really sorry you are going through this. I really hope it's not bad news.

Emily - Wow, 6 stone! That's incredible. Well done! I can understand your concern about gaining weight, but try not to worry too much. I'm the opposite of you - I gained 5 stone last year while pregnant (it sounds crazy, but I went from being super healthy, slim and exercising loads to being unable to exercise from the start of my pregnancy and needing carbs carbs carbs!). I still have 2.5 stone to lose and am in the overweight category by BMI. I am really worried it may affect this pregnancy Sad.

Blissfulignorance · 22/06/2017 10:19

So so sorry @Firsttimeandclueless 💐💐💐

I had my scan this morning. I have a healthy little dot with a strong heartbeat. Measuring the right size. They can't see any obvious reason for my bleed could be a hormonal response, my body might think it needs to have a period and is just a little confused.

Bottom line is im still pregnant today. Dot looks fine. Still have spotting but I'm not to worry unless it gets worse.

I'm so grateful for your support and well wishes. I've honestly had the worst few days of my life and I can't tell you the relief I feel now.

SofiePendragon · 22/06/2017 10:22

My nausea isn't as bad today as it was earlier in the week. I know it's probably just because it's a bit cooler today and I don't have as busy a day work-wise, but I can't help but worry. I'm never happy - moaning when I feel ill, moaning when its not so bad!

SofiePendragon · 22/06/2017 10:25

blissful what fantastic news! It must have been such a relief to see your little dot in there!

choochooo · 22/06/2017 11:12

That's great news blissful!

I'm so worried about my lack of symptoms but trying to remember that sickness didn't arrive until 8 weeks with my son.

I have achy feeling in womb, occasional twinges in boobs, occasionally feeling a bit nauseous but nothing I can put finger in and say it's definitely nausea.

I don't know if I can handle this not to work out :(

EmilyK83 · 22/06/2017 11:15

Thanks Coffee - wanted to be baby ready! And please don't worry about your weight, I'm sure it won't be an issue at all, especially with the weight you've lost from the last pregnancy!

Blissful I'm so, so happy for you!

Good news here too...I'm still pregnant Smile It's not ectopic, I saw the heartbeat and everything! Measuring 4.9mm - so 6 weeks is about right. Crying happy tears right now!

Blissfulignorance · 22/06/2017 11:29

Same @EmilyK83 happy tears for ages. The relief is real.

lookatthemoon · 22/06/2017 11:45

Fantastic news Blissful! Pregnancy is such an emotional rollercoaster ...

Firsttime - I am so so sorry to hear your news. There is a ttc after mc thread on mumsnet. I found it was really supportive after my loss. Take care x

choochooo · 22/06/2017 12:34

Wonderful news Emily!

RainyDayBear · 22/06/2017 12:43

Great news blissful and emily I'm really pleased for you!

Coffee I was a stone heavier when I got pregnant last time and was technically just obese I think (I don't weigh that much but I'm really short!) and it didn't cause any problems with blood pressure or anything.

Loxy4527 · 22/06/2017 12:57

Firstly, humperty Hopefully this proves to be nothing to worry about, like everyone says every pregnancy is different and it isn't over yet. Thinking of you x

Firsttime So sorry you lost this one. Hoping you have a successful pregnancy in the near future xxx

Bliss Fantastic! I love that mantra - "I'm pregnant today" have to say it a few times when I worry too much.

Emily Congrats to you too! You must feel so much better xxx

Having a day off work today. The wild swinging between feeling sick and feeling hungry has only increased, been so tired with not sleeping properly in the heat and really wanted to give my boobs a break. Just now I had some simple quorn chicken and noodles when I started it was so tasty and I was ravenous then I had two bites too many and thought I was going to throw up. Definitely need to switch to snacking little and often.

I'm so on-board to get a proper bra fitting, the last time I had one I was a lot slimmer and came out a 30FF. Since then I've just been keeping their advice in mind and adjusted through trial and error as my band size has increased. Tried a couple of non-wired maternity bras from Mother care at the weekend which seemed to fit lovely and comfy in the morning but after a few hours completely buckled under the weight and got all rucked up underneath - horrible.

toots123 · 22/06/2017 12:59

Can I join you all?
After over a year of ttc no 2 we got a bfp on Tuesday. Edd 24/02/18. Little girl will be 3 then ( if all works out )

TriJo · 22/06/2017 13:04

We have officially reached the stage where a Pret Ginger Shot has replaced the coffee after lunch... Sad

Emwahs · 22/06/2017 13:15

@bissfull @emily amazing news. Hopefully you can relax but even after scan yesterday I still worry things are going to go wrong. Once we get passed the 12 weeks mark I reckon a lot of us will stop worrying so much!
